His worst nightmare

(VanessaOrtiz667, Thank you! I hope you like it! I know that nightmares can be weird and confusing so I tried to make it more realistic? I think is the way to put it, anyway, I hope you enjoy it!)

Dean rounded the next corner just as he did the one before that, and the one before that.

It was a maze. One that felt like it lasted forever, one that Dean felt like he had gone through so many times, too many to count.

"Hello?" Dean called out as he rounded the next corner at the end of the tiny space of a hallway.

He stopped as he saw a curtain. He took a step forward as he reached out, sticking his hand behind the curtain and pulling it to the side.

He stepped behind it and the maze vanished. He was standing in the middle of an empty hallway.

"Daddy!"

Dean turned around as he heard his daughter screaming his name, he turned just in time to see Alison getting dragged into a room by her ankles.

She was trying to stop herself from going, she was grabbing and clawing at the floor.

"Alison!" Dean yelled and rushed down the hallway.

He rounded the corner and into the room, but it was empty. There was nothing.

"Please! Help me!" Dean turned his head as he heard his daughter voice from a downstairs.

"Ali!" Dean yelled as he rushed out of the room, and down the hallways until he saw a railing.

He rushed up to it, and looked over it, down over the empty room below him, the only thing in it, furniture covered with sheets.

"Please."

Dean turned and froze as he saw his daughter standing there staring right at him, with pain and fear in her eyes.

"Please, daddy. Don't let it hurt me." The girl begged.

"Don't let what hurt you baby?" Dean asked as he took a step forward, but as soon as he did, she vanished into thin air.

Dean looked around frantically.

"Ali? Alison!"

"You failed, dean."

Dean turned around as he heard an all too familiar males voice behind him. His eyes met with nothing.

"Sammy?" He asked as he looked around for his brother. "Ali?" Dean had tears threatening to fall. "Anybody?"

Dean turned as his tears were starting to fall, but when he turned he was standing in a bright yellow meadow.

"Daddy?"

Dean turned and was face to face with his daughter.

"Ali."

"Why are you crying, daddy?" Alison asked as she reached out and placed her hand on his cheek, wiping his tears with her thumb.

"I— I thought—"

"What did you think? That you could keep me safe?" Alison asked him.

"What?" Dean asked.

"Did you think you could keep me protected from the monsters?"

"What are you—"

"You can't. You thought wrong."

Dean and Alison stared into each other's eyes for a moment, before Alison gasped making Dean lose contact with her eyes that were similar to his own.

He looked down and saw a blade sticking through his thirteen year olds chest.

"No!" Dean yelled as Alison was falling backwards.

"No, no, no, no." Dean caught her and fell to the ground with her in his arms.

"Daddy..." Alison breathed out.

"What, baby, what is it?" Dean asked her as his tears strolled down his cheeks.

"You let it hurt me."

Dean gasped awake as he shot up in his bed. His bedroom door then flew open revealing his daughter and brother with guns.

"Dean?" Sam asked.

"Daddy, are you okay?" Alison asked lowering her pistol and entering the room with Sam behind her.

Deans eyes followed Alison, looking over her body for the blade in her chest but it wasn't there.

He got up and hugged Alison tightly.

"Whoa! I love you, too?" Alison said, hugging her father back.

"Dean, what happened? Are you okay?" Sam asked his brother.

"Yeah, you were yelling, you were calling my name." Alison said as she backed away from Dean, but her just pulled her right back. "Whoa— okay." Ali pat his back.

"I'm okay, I just...I had a-a nightmare. It's fine." Dean told them.

"What happened? In your nightmare, I mean." Alison asked dean with a look of worry and concern in her eyes.

"I don't want to talk about it." Dean shoved his face into her shoulder.

"Daddy, are you sure you're okay?" Alison asked, wrapping her arms around his neck and running her finger through his hair, normally like dean would do when Alison had a nightmare.

"Can you just— can you lay with me, tonight? Please." Dean begged.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'll sleep with you tonight, if that makes you feel better." Alison kissed his forehead.

Dean felt bad. He hated that Alison was doing this, because he was the adult. He was supposed to be comforting her after her nightmares, but no. It was the other way around this time.

"So we're all good?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, we're okay." Dean said, nodding his head slightly.

"All right. Goodnight, guys." Sam said as he started exiting the room.

Once the door was closed, Alison and dean got in his end and covered up, deans arms never unwrapping from around his daughter.

"So what really happened in your nightmare?" Alison asked dean who hesitated.

"I couldn't save you. I watched you die." Dean explained as far as he would, not wanting to go into detail.

"Dad, I'm not going anywhere. That's a promise." Alison told him, wrapping her pinky around his his.

"I know. I love you so much, you know that?" Dean said.

"I love you too, daddy." Alison kissed his cheek then snuggled closer to him.

Deans smiled softly, and then soon fell asleep, alongside his little girl.
