"I'm baaack~"

I announced, walking into the apartment. It was about 8 pm and I just returned from my visit to Tokyo metropolitan cu- yeah Jujutsu High. Names too long for its own good.

"It's about damn time." A grumpy voice came from the living room where baby noises could be heard as well. "Thought you'd finally go away, bummer you didn't."

Chuckling, I headed to the kitchen to wash my hands before sauntering into the lounge where I found Toji's giant figure unceremoniously sprawled on the couch. I suppressed a snort at the sight. He was wearing a dark sweater and matching sweatpants. On the ground next to him was a miniature version of him, Megumi who was in a gray onesie.

*Suckle*

And had a pacifier.

He was surrounded by colorful toys which contrasted greatly with his outfit.

I sweat dropped at the sight.

Are they aware that other colors exist besides black and gray? Gumi I understand, he's a baby. But Toji? Bet his entire wardrobe is black at this point and I wouldn't even be surprised if it's the case for his son too. Huh. Gotta go on another shopping spree then. Or I can just...create them. Colith, you have powers, use them.

The baby's head swiveled in my direction, eyes brightening at my sight which was enough to make me dramatically clench my heart. Toji rolled his eyes at my antics.

"Uuuh!!" He gurgled happily

I cooed warmly, crouching as Gumi crawled to my spot. He stopped, reaching for me while doing grabby hands.

Ugh.

'THIS IS TOO CUTE FAM.'

I heard Toji click his tongue and briefly glanced at him just as I scooped the cherub and spun with him, eliciting a giggle from the babe before holding him on my hip. As a result, he placed his little head on my collar while his pudgy little hands tugged on my sweater. I was so focused on the kid that I nearly missed his dad's next words.

"You'd think that the squirt's not even mine. Doesn't even smile when I hold him." Toji shook his head and his near accusatory tone and scowl made me laugh. It would almost seem af if he was...pouting.

'How...cute.'

"Your face's scary, must be why. Do you even try to smile around him? Babies do smile when you smile at them " I emphasize the 'you' and chuckled when he looked away. He grumbled something, "I'm sorry, what was that?"

"...the last time I did, he cried," he admitted with a scowl. I kept my mouth shut when he glared, daring me to laugh. It was really tempting but I decided to drop it.

"Did you rest well?"

He hummed then perked up, seemingly noticing something amiss. "Didn't you say you went shopping? Where's your stuff?" he said, straightening up to look at me.

"Ah, that...I didn't feel like carrying all my stuff with me. Powers remember?" I scratched my cheek, flustered by his stare before settling on the unoccupied couch across from him.

He deadpanned.

"Heh, I've never been this happier to have them, especially after meeting these old fucks they call Higher-ups, though Tengen was cool, so she's good in my books. Turns out they were after me, but after the shit-" I smoothly covered Gumi's ears so he doesn't hear me cussing. Not that he'll understand anything. "-I pulled, they reevaluated their priorities." I cackled, reminiscing the previous events while playing with the babe's chaotic scalp.

'How on earth does anime hair work anyway?!'

The room was silent.

"Huh...?" Toji voiced.

"Oh yeah," I got up, went to my room with Gumi still in my arms, and returned with the take-out. My powers kept it warm and up for consumption. "Here's food! I thought you'd like it!" I grinned then frowned when he didn't take it. "What's wrong?"

He slowly reached for it and placed it on the table while staring at me with an unreadable look. My brows creased further and just as I was about to inquire, he cut me off.

"You were captured?"

He forgot that little detail. Then, again, he had actively hoped for my demise at first, so that he could finally get rid of me. He still did, but not as much as before, especially after getting to know each other... somehow—he actually wasn't paying attention at some point— Also, the fact that his son was happier didn't arrange anything. So to learn that I could potentially disappear somehow, put him on edge, not that he’d ever admit it out loud. He didn't even understand it himself.

Unaware of his thoughts, I went on "Uh-hun..more like 'brought' actually. They tried to seal me but failed since, well, no cursed energy, and I met Tengen who honestly was the nicest person ever! Now we're best buddies. I'll visit her every Sunday from now on by the way. Don't worry, I'll leave a clone."

Megumi was patting my cheeks while I spoke. I looked down, eyes softening upon meeting big green eyes. My heart swelled with warmth which made me unconsciously press him against me, aura swaying lazily around us until I was brought out of my musings by Toji.

"What happened exactly ?"

I blinked before a sly smile appeared on my lips despite my surprise. Wasn't expecting him to show interest in my story. "Oh~ are you perhaps, worried about good ol' me?" I teased, making his eyebrow twitch.

"Fat chance, parasite. Just don't see myself looking for a new nanny for the squirt, plus I'm getting money from ya. Anyway spill it." his annoyed look made me chuckle.

"Sure-"

With that said, I told him about my day. How I initially went shopping and bumped into Gojo and Geto- His brows creased at this-, how I was brought to their headquarters covered with restraining seals, and let the geezers threaten me, thinking they had the upper hand before immediately swallowing their confidence the moment said seals fell to the ground while an insolent Gojo stood in the back, whistling without a care in the world. They eventually all panicked and ordered the teen to kill me, but that little rascal made that bugs bunny "no" with a shit-eating grin plastered on his face.

Toji chuckled a bit, imagining the chaos I brought to these old fossils. He was kind of proud that I had the guts to pull something like that.

And to add insult to injury, I casually broke through their trump cards technique with the assistance of said trump card who was wholeheartedly willing to participate by just standing there, smiling as I ruffled his hair while Geto attacked him to show his infinity at work. Their look of horror and utter bewilderment was priceless. Moreover, they realized just how dangerous I was and quickly started trying to get me on their side while that brat Gojo guffawed like a hyena in the back, receiving offended glares from them.

"So, what did you do?"

Toji seemed a tad bit more interested in my story which I found odd since I thought he wouldn't give two shits about whatever happens to me, but hey, it wasn't unwelcome.

The man was leaving less and less for his work for some reason I don’t know, and that’s great honestly. Maybe it was due to my 'rents'...Ya Allah, I'm slowly turning into his sugar mommy, aren't I? Oh well, at least I'm getting on his good side, so hurray...?

"I declined of course! Who the hell do they think they are? I'd rather take a bath in molten lava than associate with them. Though pompous as they were, they didn't appreciate my 'unwillingness' to cooperate and decided that threatening those I hold dear would be a good idea. Spoiler: it wasn't." I shook my head. "I won't say I'm proud for losing my temper. Buuuut, I kinda threatened to level Japan and send them to their ancestors if they so much as entertained that thought." I chirped, "and I sorta shook them a little, just a little bit so they don't get any funny idea."

Toji blinked slowly, baffled by what he just heard while Megumi simply eyed us in confusion before getting distracted by the TV.

"If they think I'm gonna let them hurt Gumi then they're in for a hell of a surprise." I missed the way Toji's eyes widened comically, too busy smooching the 9-month-old's forehead to notice. The babe gurgled softly before leaning back on me, causing me to internally melt.

'She threatened the entire Jujutsu world for my kid?!'

His lips slowly curled upward in a grin and once again, I didn't notice. I was now playing with the babe's pudgy hands.

"With the point driven home and before things could escalate further since their hostility for me had skyrocketed after my little stunt, someone barged in, announcing that Tengen wished to meet me. So imagine the smugness I felt when this news dropped! And Gojo, that little shit made matters worse by snapping pictures of their bewildered faces." I snickered, reminiscing about that moment.

"Afterward, Tengen and I spoke. In short, I offered to help with the star plasma vessel situation- that YOU killed! Seriously, money over humanity's survival?" I gave him a disapproving stare. He merely smirked which nearly made me squeal, though I kept my cool. "Ultimately, I restored the balance, but I'll spare you all that magical mumbo jumbo since it doesn't matter." I waved a hand. "So no more problems until the next ceremony. Had to suppress a cackle when those damn geezers were ordered to leave me be. Now, all the Jujutsu world's indebted to me, Heh! Ain't that great!?"

He leaned back on his couch, processing everything he just heard.

I just appeared out of nowhere and completely fucked up their system by being an unpredictable variable. Heh, how entertaining. His smile dropped at my next words.

"And boy, you have no idea how annoying the Clans are! Especially the Zenins!"

Toji stiffened.

"I knew their view on women was terrible! But damn! Trying to 'acquire' me so I can spawn offspring due to my 'innate techniques' was baffling, to be honest." I scrunched up my nose in disgust. "First of all, ew, disgusting, I ain't into that shit and second that's beyond rude!"

My words died in my throat upon feeling a murderous aura and nearly gasped when I saw the seething look on Toji's face, "yo...you good?"

Had to swaddle Gumi in my aura when he whimpered. The Hell's wrong with his dad?

3rd POV

Toji couldn't exactly understand why it pissed him off so much or let alone affected him. He was willing to sell her to the clan last month but now...he wasn't so sure anymore, and it troubled him.

Attachment? Oh for fuck sake. He couldn't even stand her presence just a month ago! Yet, the mere thought of something happening to her made his skin...crawl?

Facing an opponent or just, fighting in general was second nature to him. Hell, that's all he knew for most of his life. Feelings on the other hand were a bit difficult to process. Not that he was totally numb to it. He wasn't stupid either, otherwise, the squirt wouldn't even exist. Still, was her presence somehow affecting him?

Was he...getting attached? Sure, she was attractive and he wouldn't mind having sex with her but that's it. After all, she was just a mere stranger that forced herself into his life and couldn't get rid of her.

A stranger who took good care of his son and seemed sincere about her love for the kid. A stranger who warmly smiled every time they crossed paths despite the clear dislike and animosity he showed. And yet, he couldn't stop his gaze from lingering on her and noticing how her golden eyes tended to glimmer tenderly whenever they lock gaze. And those luscious lips on which he wanted to place his scarred ones, to kiss and savor them, to feel her soft dark skin against his while admiring her half-lidded eyes as he—

He felt something soft on his face and caught the thing by reflex just as he felt a pull on his hair. Only his honed reflexes prevented him from shoving the thing away. Blinking, he realized it was Megumi. They just stared at each other, Toji in bewilderment while Megumi held a bored expression before a yawn caught their attention.

"Welp, that’s not all but imma go hit the hay! Bon appétit and Good night!", she scampered toward her weird door before backtracking and pecking Megumi's forehead. Her presence vanished completely soon after, leaving a dumbstruck Toji sitting with his son on his lap until he realized what he was thinking about.

'The hell...?'

__________

'WHAT THE F- HIS AURA GOT AROUSED WHEN HE WAS LOOKIN AT ME—'

The door in which she disappeared was a portal to her house. House where most of her belongings were. She could've made it appear somewhere else but thought against it. Plus it was a way for her to annoy Toji.

Laziness had no part in it. Nope.

She hurriedly rushed to her bedroom where most of the stuff she bought that day was scattered on the ground, and plopped on the bed, flustered by the previous events to the point of releasing a muffled screech like a pre-teen girl.

Frankly, she knew something like that would happen sooner or later, especially after what the messenger told her. She was paired with the guy and nothing she tried would change that. Even constantly aggravating him to see how he'll react had no effect except slowing the inevitable. And apparently that 'inevitable' had no plans on fucking slowing down since the guy now wanted to get in her pants for whatever reason! How does she know this? His freaking aura of course!

"This is ridiculous! It's only been a month. A. MONTH."

She thought that maybe... it would take something like a year or two for him to stand her. Much wasn't known about him except his thirst for battle and love for money. Hell! She wasn't even sure if he loved Megumi and two simple panels of his dying moments weren't enough! Still, the overall protectiveness and apprehension he showcased at her arrival confirmed that yes, this Toji would die for his kid. Not sure about his Canon counterpart though.

Nevertheless, she wasn't expecting this to happen. NOT THIS SOON AT LEAST.

"I should've bonked...and sent him to horny jail-" she laughed, rubbing her warm cheeks. "How childish."

In all her twenty-five years of life, she only did those things: crushing, simping for fictional characters, watching animes, and drawing. And occasionally babysitting. Enlisting and subsequently maturing and getting more responsibilities were post-mortem happenstances, so they didn't count.

Her interest in romantic relationships was almost nil despite the fact that she yearned for a family. Then again, she wasn't even actively trying despite knowing that her environment favored marriages. Good marriages on the other hand were as rare as Toji refusing money so she didn't even try. And avoiding any kind of outside leisure like the plague didn't help. She was an introvert through and through and would rather stay home than go out like most of her peers, get pretty, or end up wasted while partying.

Her mother would've had her head if ever entertained that idea. Muslim households were no jokes even though some leniency was allowed, but she wasn't getting into any detail.

Truthfully, becoming a great artist was all that mattered. Representing her country was a plus, not that achieving it was possible anymore.

That does not in any way mean that she was unhappy with whatever she has at the moment. Becoming a Deity wasn't something she was expecting but it wasn't unwelcome even though she still had trouble accepting it after all these years. Sure, she'd be dead meat if she didn't have powers, so she was grateful. Also, getting to meet several characters she's only seen on screen and interacting with them still felt unreal. Although the crushing parts were...concerning, she suspected it to be the Higher-Ups doing. Unfortunately, unless she brainwashed them, there was no stopping them.

"Or maybe it's the MC default ability to have a harem-" She was no fool and she'd rather make light of the situation than have a full-blown panic attack. Existential crisis, begone!

In any case, she has no idea what to do concerning Toji. One month was just too fast and she'd rather not do something she'll regret. The man was handsome, she'll admit, but her principle held strong. Under normal circumstances, she wouldn't even approach him since he was for one, a killer, and two, well, a killer. Now that she basically counted as an eldritch abomination, defending oneself is a simple matter so there are no worries on that count. Being paired with him was beyond her control, however, so she'll have to roll with it.

But anyway, taking care of Megumi, giving him more pleasant memories, and a happier childhood as he grows up— will she stay or will she go? That is the question— would be a good start?

She stayed there, sprawled on her bed, and stared at the ceiling for a long while before finally deciding to go take a shower and sleep.

"Guess I'll see where this is gonna get us..." she mumbled, still flustered.
