Finally, finally, my dad was free. How long I have waited for the amber that finally shattered. I've been busy sleeping with Val and showing him my inventions at least he appreciates my work. I can forgive Rapunzel. I apologized to Corona a thousand times over. I've done terrible things and they hated me, but truth be told I kind of deserved that. I haven't heard from Val in a while the feeling when I was with him, is gone. 

I was making breakfast with my handy inventions. An egg cracker and a pancake measurer. I got up early. I need to get a head start on the cleaning. Fortunately, I invented dishwashers and invented a chemical solution that can make everything super shiny. It's the least I can do for him. 

Unfortunately, I think I might have put too much soap in the sink and my machine that's washing the dishes got over heated. I see smoke coming out of it. 

"Oh dear." I say.

I run over to it. It was speeding up too fast. I can see the dishes cracking. The sink was overflowing. Water was pouring from it. I push the buttons. Nothing happens except sparks flying out of it. I turn it off. It lets out an exhausted breath and then shuts down.

"I'll remember to go lightly on the soap." I mutter.

Dad came in.

"Dad! You're up early!" I say.

I give him his pancakes and eggs. He lets out a sigh.

"Not again Varian..." He says.

"It's fine. I may have gone a little heavy handed on the soap." I say. 

He looks away. Even now my inventions still leave him disappointed. I see a note slipped under the doorway. A note with the same smell as him. I take it. I see a rose stamped sealing it. I open it.

"Meet me at the edge of the town. Don't keep me waiting." I read.

It sounds sinister. I know it would be best to go to the edge of town.
