💫 Chapter 6️⃣ 💫

A/N: Takes place two days after the last chapter

To say that Wendy was having a rough day at the moment would have been a vast understatement.

She was in fact having a shit day.

First, she had gotten called in to work on her day off to cover for another waitress whose son had come down with a bad case of the flu.

If that wasn't annoying enough for the older woman, she'd also had to deal with the town's police deputy chief David Hale trying to ask her out on a date yet again and it really pissed the blonde off because the asshole just couldn't seem to get it through his thick skull that she was not interested in him the way he was her.

Thankfully Jax, Chibs and Tig had shown up at the diner right as she was about to punch Hale in his stupid smug face and helped her out by stepping in between the two and scaring him away for the time being.

To make matters even more frustrating for Wendy, she'd gotten an unexpected call from her daughter's principal.

According to what the principal would tell her during the call, Skylar had apparently gotten into a physical altercation with a male student in her class.

Wendy was honestly confused as hell as she drove to her daughter's school.

She knew that her daughter wasn't the type of person who would do something like what the principal was saying that she had unless she had a good reason for doing so.

When she finally made it to the school and inside to the main office, she saw that Skylar was sitting in a chair, sporting a busted lip and a bruise under her left eye that looked like it was quickly turning into a black eye instead.

Hurrying over to her daughter who had taken notice of her entrance, Skylar didn't speak and refused to make eye contact with Wendy.

This confused the older woman until she heard the voice of Tristan Oswald from behind her, leading her to turn to look at the other girl.

"It's not Skylar's fault, Ms Wendy. One of the assholes on the football team was harassing her earlier and she tried to ignore him but he wouldn't leave her alone. She only hit him after he hit her twice first."

Wendy opened her mouth to thank Tristan for her explanation when the door to the principal's office suddenly opened and a man exited, his fist gripped around the jacket collar of a boy that Wendy supposed was probably his son.

On their way past where Wendy and Skylar were sitting though, the pair stopped and the man turned to look at them.

"You're Skylar's mother, correct?"

When Wendy nodded in confirmation that she was indeed Skylar's mother, she ended up being taken aback by the man apologizing profusely for his son's actions towards her daughter.

"I know that it probably doesn't mean much to you and Skylar, but I am very sorry for what my son has done to her. He's definitely in some huge trouble with not only myself but also his mother as well."

"Thank you. I appreciate that."

Principal Kelly stepped out of her office just then and requested that Skylar and her mother join her inside, leading to both of the blondes to stand from their chairs and make their way into the office with the principal closing the door behind them.

"So, I have reviewed the security footage in the hallway where the incident your daughter was involved in took place and I can confidentially say that she was not the one at fault and was simply defending herself. That being said however, we do have a no violence policy at this school and therefore she will have to be suspended for the remainder of the week."

Wendy sighed before telling the principal that she understood what she was saying and that she would make sure that her daughter kept up with her classwork while she was suspended before turning to Skylar.

"Come on, Skylar. Let's go, okay?"

Skylar stayed silent and simply followed her mother outside to where their car was in the parking lot.

Neither spoke until they were inside the vehicle.

"I'm really sorry that you had to come down here and deal with Mrs Kelly, Mom. I know that you were covering for someone at work today and that I messed up by getting into trouble."

Wendy sighed softly before turning slightly in her seat to look at her daughter. She also reached over and took one of the teen's hands in her own, leading Skylar to look up and making eye contact with her mother.

"While I wish that you hadn't gotten suspended for fighting, baby, I'm not gonna sit here and tell you that you were wrong for what you did. From what Tristan told me before we went into the principal's office, you were defending yourself against that boy and I would never be angry with you for trying to protect yourself, okay?"

Skylar smiled slightly at her mother's words before replying to what she'd just said.

"Thanks for not being mad at me, Mom. Again, I'm sorry for causing you to have to leave work and come down here."

"It's okay, baby."

The pair then left the parking lot of the school in their vehicle and began to make their way to their there was a motorcycle parked in the driveway.

Both blondes were confused by the sight of a motorcycle that was parked in their driveway when they arrived home roughly fifteen minutes later.

Wendy's eyes went wide as she instantly recognized the tall bald biker who was sitting on the swing on their front porch.

"Mom, who is that guy?"

It took Wendy a couple of tries but she finally got the words to fall from her lips.

"That's-that's your dad, baby. You're finally gonna get to meet him."

A/N: So, Happy has shown up at Wendy's home!

Does he know about Skylar or will Wendy actually be the one to tell him?

How will he react to the situation and how will Skylar react to meeting her father after never knowing him her entire life?
