i walked into the locker room. i am nervous cus the last time i was in here everyone saw me balling my eyes out.

"you okay ?? what happened with you and liv ?" cass asked.

"so, you wanna tell us why you ran out of here crying ?? are you okay ??" liatu asked.

"so liv & maddy i got a question" liza said making me look at them.

we walked onto the court and got some shots up while we waited on coach to finish in her office. if i tell liv i have a crush on her & she doesn't like me back that's gonna be so embarrassing and it could ruin our friendship forever .

im not willing to take that chance so me distancing myself from her is the only option that i have right now.

"i wanted to talk to you and you and hannah" coach said.

"tbh coach idk what's going on. bcus we was good and then she started acting weird towards me"

"and yesterday we went to lunch and it was good we were talking and we had fun. the vibes were there and i thought we had moved past it but it's like she's bipolar towards me" i explained.

"well yall are my 2 best players so i need yall to get it together and asap. i need yall in these games" coach said.

"i'm trying, it's hannah i cannot get through to her. but i'll keep trying" i said.

after talking to coach i walked back onto the court and i went to where maddy was.

"hey what happened ?" she asked.

"coach, wanted to know what's wrong with my relationship with hannah but honestly i can't tell her either cus i don't even know" i said.

"well don't stress it bookie.. im sure she'll come around especially if it comes down to her not playing basketball" maddy said.

i sighed and shook my head.

"we was doing so good i just don't get it" i said.

"well on the bright side at least bean loves you.. finally" she joked making me laugh.

"oh you reaching now don't dtm" i said pulling her into me tickling her.

after that coach ivey came out and we continued practice. i dribbled the ball and passed it to emma who missed it.

hannah ran after it tryna save it which sent her into the stands. we ran to her and coach blew her whistle.

"you good pretty ?" i asked sticking my hand out to her. she eyed me and then got up herself making me laugh and shake my head.

"emma let's catch the ball."

"good hustle hannah, but atp just let the ball go out, we don't need any injuries" coach added.

cass dribbled down & i ran to the wing & she passed it to me. i looked for open people and hannah cut to the basket so i bounced passed it to her and she laid it up.

"omg yes, finally" i said.

"lol wtf you say ?" hannah said.

"you and i both know our chemistry been terrible lately" i said.

"mmm" was all she said.

"hannah i don't know what you got going on but i need you to figure it out. we cannot have this" coach said.

"im good, i caught the ball and i made it" she said.

"yeah but your attitude towards liv is a no no. yall are so close what is going on ?" she asked.

"you should ask liv" she mumbled making me scoff.

"what the h*ll did i do ?? that's you grace. i've tried to fix whatever is wrong with our relationship" i said.

"well yk what until you figure out why you can't be nice to liv you're benched" coach said.

"what that's so unfair. i caught the ball & i laid it up what else do i need to do ? im the one who risk my body for a ball and that's not good enough" hannah said.

"yes, im aware of that hannah it has nothing to do with the way you're playing it has to do with the fact that whoever hurt you is affecting you"

"now i suggest you and liv get it figured out unless you wanna sit by me until you do" coach said.

she looked at me and the way she stared a hole into my soul you would think she hated me. well ykw i think she does actually.

"it's all you're f*cking fault" she said walking to the locker room.

"now, go home and get some rest." coach said before going to her office.

we walked to the locker room and hannah was aggressively getting her stuff.

"bro hannah what did i do to you ?? cus wtv it was im sorry ionk what else to do or how to fix it cus you won't talk to me" i said.

"yeah you guys are so close.. please just talk to her we dont like seeing you like this. we miss the happy you" kylee said.
