Backstory: Thea and Peter Parker have been thick as thieves. Much like Peter and Ned Leeds. Thea is also best friends with Michelle Jones. She hates Flash Thompson with a burning passion, but it's more of a personal level. Basically, it's another story for another time. That's how much she hates his guts. Not just because he picks on Peter, it's worse than that like a million percent.

How she got her powers: she was ten, and she mysteriously got frostbite for some apparent. She had enough layers of clothing to prevent her from getting frostbite, but somehow, that didn't work. She went to the hospital, and they were planning to send her to the fifth ward because they thought that she was crazy. How can you be crazy when you are telling the truth? That was the question that pondered every time that she used her powers.

When she uses her powers everywhere, she steps in her footsteps are ice. it's cool when that happens. She tried to hide her powers at first because she couldn't control her powers at first. But after years of practice, she managed to control her powers, so she's not turning every little thing that she touches to ice. Countless times, she almost turned Peter to ice, especially when he sneaks behind her. But he said he'll cut back on doing that, but yet he still does it.

At first, she thought that she was cursed as that's what she believed her powers being. A curse. She avoided people when she got her powers, as she didn't want to hurt anyone. That's why she got pulled out of school, and Peter would bring her that day's homework. They did that for about a year until she felt comfortable being out on the society, and public. Peter didn't push her to come out when she wasn't ready. At first, he didn't understand, so she'd lash out at him. But then she'd felt bad because he didn't quite understand why she didn't want to go out to society.

Peter told her about the Stark Internship that he was in as she thought that he was crazy. Then Peter had an idea and he asked Mr. Stark if his friend could be in the internship also because of how smart she is. He said yes, and Peter invited her to come with him on the said internship. So that's how Tony knows Thea.

That's where trouble happened. Well started. Somehow, she got involved in the Accords between the Avengers. So that was fun. It's also scary and dangerous. But she managed to survive it, so that was a good thing. So when her and Peter were sent back to Queen's. Her and Peter somewhat went back to their original lives. She went back to her job as a waitress in a rundown diner in the hood of Queen's. Where it sometimes gives her nightmares about. He goes to show how bad it is.

So two months have gone by, and she has been a little happy about life, just not when she goes back to her job every day, after school. That's when she supposed Stark Internship goes another level. When there's alien chitauri weapons involved so that made it even more entertaining for Thea.

Later on, when Tony made a surprise call when her and Peter were on the ferry, Thea bit her tongue of saying something that she would regret. You get the whole idea of the situation. Tony had hired her to work behind Peter's back when he wouldn't listen to Thea. When Peter found out about Thea working behind his back, it put their relationship on a strand of thin wire. Peter and Thea went their separate ways as Thea was starting to become a problem child at Mid-Town to where she had gotten expelled from the school district.

No one knew that Thea had no family and / or parents, so Tony decided on taking the girl in as his. Which was a big cultural shock for Thea as she never had a family or parents as her parents left her when she was a newborn, so she also never had a mother's love, along with how to be a kid. So Tony feared the worse, and he knew that it was right, especially when he hacked into the school system and found her grades, which was on the brink of failing.
