it was the next day.

it was rainy and gloomy out, and usually you'd enjoy that, but it set the mood for the bleak look of your trig class, as you went to sit next to cloud, who had walked with you to class.

you wave to sephiroth as he caught your eye, presumably there early.

"don't wave to him near me.." cloud scoffed, pulling you by the arm to sit down.

you sighed slightly, "can you at least tell me why you hate him so much? he's really sweet once you get to know him."

the blonde rolled his eyes, "it's a long story, and i can't and won't believe that."

"just like how you got your ears pierced is a long story?" you giggled.

"yep."

"ok, hedgehog."

he gave you a look and then shook his head, "good grief.."

sephiroth groaned as he watched you giggle at whatever cloud said.

oh how he wished that you would just get up and sit with him, oh, and maybe give cloud a nice smack in the face, but we all can't get what we want, now can we?

he stared at you blankly as the lesson began.

cloud had already fallen asleep within the first five minutes of the lecture, typical.

you were off in your own world, doodling in your sketchbook, with that focused expression you made that he found so cute.

until the teacher called your name, "ms. l/n!"

"o-oh! yes, sir?"

"since you think you can just tune me out, obviously you know how to do this better than all of us, hm?"

"n-no-"

uh oh, she's in trouble..

"what is the answer here young lady??" the teacher scowled

sephiroth grabbed his phone, as he saw your phone on your lap, and texted the answer.

you quickly glanced at the device and spoke up, "u-um..twenty seven point seven degrees?"

the teacher blinked, "yes..very good.."

you turned to him and smiled, mouthing thank you.

he nodded and smiled back.

he felt his phone buzz as she turned back around.
