Fifth Prompt: How did you find me?

Lucy sat in the dark cave. The only light in it was one torch at the other side of the room.

It was wet.

It was cold.

It was dark.

She didn't like it.

The person, that had her captured, had disappeared a few days ago and the only thing Lucy had to eat and drink was one slice of bread, which she had eaten half, and one bottle of water, which was half empty too.

She was practically starving.

Lucy didn't even know what exactly had happened, she just remembered a person who pulled something, probably a bag, over her, and then it was dark.

She hoped sooner or later someone would show up.

The cave seemed to be very hidden, it was always dark, she could hear nothing.
Not one single bird.

And that was the thing Lucy hated so much.

Nothing happened here.
Everything was the same.
There was no life.
Nothing.

She heard steps and saw orange light appear on the wall on the other side of the cave.

„What if she's not here?“, someone said quietly.
Edmund.
It was Edmund!

Lucy's heart beat faster and she wanted to scream his name.
But the gag kept her back.

At least she was making noise.

The steps fastened.
„Lucy?“, Edmund called and the moment he walked into the room the light made everything bright and orange.

„Lucy!“

In the next moment, he sat next to her, cutter her fetters and the gag, and looked at her in worry.
„Ed!“, she called, as soon as she was free and hugged her older brother tight.

Tears started to stream down her face.

„How did you find me?“, she asked, sniffing.

„I think Aslan led me“, Edmund answered. „There was a light, orange and bright. I somehow knew it would lead me to you.“

Lucy sniffed one last time.
„I want to go home“, she whispered.
„And I'm hungry.“

Edmund chuckled.
„When we get home I'm sure we can help that. Can you walk?“

Lucy pulled away and nodded.
„I think so“, she answered and got up, with Edmund as a helping hand.

„Let's get home.“
