Siren ( Korean: 사이렌 ; stylized as S!REN ) is a South Korean girl group formed by Wist Entertainment, consisting of members Layla, Sun, Jade, Dahlia, Darcy, Junko, Violet and Yumi. The group debuted on May 22nd 2020 with the digital single "Wonderland".

The group's name, Siren, is a reference to the known mythycal creatures half fish and half human able to lure sailors with their enchanting music and singing voices to shipwreck on the rocky coasts of their island. The reason of this name was explained by the members during their first vlive and Wist Entertainment itself: they wanted to create a group that could recreate the dual concept that these creatures represent, ethereal and scary.

2017 - 2019 : PRE-DEBUT PUBLIC APPEARENCES
In 2014, Layla left SM Entertainment and joined Cube the next year; she competed in "Produce 48", the third season of Mnet's television competition "Produce 101", in 2018 alongside Yumi and ranked respectively 27th and 38th, without taking part in the final group. After that, Layla left CUBE and auditioned for Wis Entertainment.
In 2016, Sun left YG Entertainment and was supposed to return to China when a Wist talent scout contacted and offered her an audition; during the same year, Jade entered Wist putting a maybe temporary end to her acting career.
In 2017, Dahlia joined the company after being for three years part of a dance crew; still in 2017, Darcy and Junko auditioned for the JTBC's survival show "MIXNINE" while they still were under JYP Entertainment but weren't able to pass, and in the same year both of them signed with Wist Entertainment.
In 2018, Violet won the first international audition in Thailand and flew to South Korea for her training, and in 2019 Yumi entered Wist Entertainment.

2020 : DEBUT WITH "Wonderland" AND "Sea Of Wonder: Pearl" EP
On April 12th, Wist Entertainment started to publish short introduction video to introduce the group's members. After them, on May 21st a teaser for the debut was updated. On May 22nd 2020, Siren debuted with their first single Wonderland, which reached 2Mln views on YouTube during the first week.
On October 5th, Siren released their first minialbum Sea Of Wonder: PEARL. The minialbum ranked at No. 43rd on Gaon Album Chart, while the lead single DAZZLE DAZZLE debuted at No. 30 on Gaon Digital Chart and Streaming Chart.

2021: "Sea Of Wonder: Quartz" EP, FIRST WINS AND "Sea Of Wonder: Ruby"
On January 1st, Wist Entertainment announced Siren's comeback with a concept picture. On February 21st Siren released their second minialbum Sea Of Wonder: QUARTZ and the lead single CRY FOR ME. The single debuted No. 3 on Korea Spotify Chart and its music video reached 50 Mln views on YouTube, while the performance video of Diamond released on February 27th went viral on Twitter. On March 14th Siren recived their first music show win on SBS's Inkigayo for CRY FOR ME.
On April 6th, the first sub-unit, Siren: ME formed by Layla, Sun and Dahlia, was announced and released and promoted the digital single Queen.
On July 12th, Siren released their third minialbum Sea Of Wonder: RUBY and the lead single Poison Love.

2022: Epilogue "Sea Of Wonder: Onyx" EP, Layla solo debut AND first concert tour
On December 29th, 2021 Wist Entertainment started to drop concept pictures for Siren's next comeback, announcing that it will be the epilogue of the story Siren started from their debut, following a concert tour.
On February 6th, 2022 Siren released their fourth minialbum Sea Of Wonder: ONYX and the lead single Boca.
On March 1st, Layla officially debuted as a soloist with her single Black Pearl and started her solo promotions.
On July 2nd, Siren started their first concert tour, titled S!REN 1st World Tour [Explore: Sea Of Wonder], at the Olympic Hall in Seoul and finished at Showbox SoDo in Seattle on September 20th, followed by the repackage album Sea Of Wonder: Voyage released on October 2nd.
