the fandom takes its name from the german folklore.
even if they had many portaits in history, the fandom decided to use the definition given by one of the Brothers Grimm: they're water spirits who love music, song and dancing that can shapeshift to a human or an animal, and can be both malicious or friendly.
the fandom official name was released on january 2nd 2021.

known as one of the most open-minded fandoms, they know about Siren unconventional style and support them for it, and switch to protective mode everytime they see the idols having a hard time. most of Nixies are generous, laid-back, flirty, warm-hearted, and treat Siren as if they were their daughters no matter the age, but there has been some toxic and irrespectful "fan" that crossed the line.
Nixies are best friends with ATINY (ateez) and pretty close with STAYS (stray kids) and MOAS (txt).
