Jungkook set down his camera and held Jiminie tightly in his arms.

He rocked them side to side slowly to calm the boy down, and processed the many thoughts crossing through his head.

From what the student had heard, Jiminie had indeed let a few bad people into his life.

But Jungkook didn't find it hard to see why.

The filter was social and a romantic, quite a lot more than the others Jungkook had met. No wonder he gave himself away so easily.

Jungkook recognised it in himself.

The first time he met Jim he had been head over heels as well and could barely even think straight.

But now Jiminie didn't have to search for someone to love anymore. He had Jungkook.

"You won't be lonely anymore cupcake," Jungkook whispered. "And I won't be either."

Jiminie pulled out of the hug and looked at Jungkook with puffy eyes.

"Promise me?" He asked as he held up his tiny pinky.

"Promise," Jungkook said, before confidently intertwining their fingers.

"Now don't cry cutie, we're at a fair, there's only place for laughter here."

Jiminie's lips carefully bended into a smile.

"Yeah... that's true..." he admitted, but Jungkook could still see the boy was a little blue.

"Why... why don't we go to the breakdance attraction you like so much?" Jungkook asked against better knowing.

"Huh? Won't you get sick?" Jiminie asked, cocking his head confusingly.

Jungkook hated his mouth for blabbering on but seeing Jiminie sad was like getting a knife stabbed through the heart.

"Uhm... no, no I'm sure I'll be fine..."

~~~
Jungkook retched and spuwed the mediocre hotdog he'd eaten before right out of his stomache.
He was throwing up beside a dumpster as Jiminie rubbed his back to comfort him.
"That attraction... was made by the devil," Jungkook groaned, looking at the chucky stream of vomit that had come from his stomache.
Jiminie looked just as disgusted as Jungkook did but still tried to comfort the sick student. "I'm not kissing you better this time."
Jungkook wanted to laugh but he also really wanted to cry. Why did he never use his brain? Why did he go into that stupid ride?
"We should go home, you don't look very good Kookie," Jiminie said, pouting at Jungkook who had paled to a shade close to white.
Ah, Jungkook thought. That's why...
~~~

"You guys are back already? How the hell did you get Jiminie to leave the fair? That normally takes me like an hour..."

Jungkook was resting almost half his weight on Jiminie who struggled to carry the man inside the café.

"Jiiin," Jiminie called for his brother to help him out.

The two brothers succesfully carried the half-asleep Jungkook to the back of the café where they always sat. Though they did get some sceptical stares from customers.

"What happened to him?" Jin asked, putting his hands on his sides as he scanned the sleeping student.

"Well he got sick from the attractions but he went with me anyway," Jiminie explained, before sitting down next to Jungkook to stroke the boy's cheek.

Jin huffed a smile. "God, he might be the nicest guy I've evere met. How did you find him Jiminie?"

Jiminie was staring at Jungkook in complete focus and intactuation. "I didn't... Jim did..."

"Hm right..." Jin mumbled, reminded of how Jim had been so stressed out about this person on a dating app for weeks.

The filter had been asking Jin for advice on what to say almost every single day and it had actually been quite endearing.

"He still doesn't want to talk to Jungkook?" Jin asked, his face falling in sadness.

"Nu-uh," Jiminie answered. "He's very silent... I think he's sad Jin, but I don't know why."

Jin nodded and took a deep breath that filled up his lungs. "Maybe we need to schedule a new appointment with the therapist."

Jiminie looked up at Jin with widened eyes. "No, I hate therapy Jin, all they do is ask about our past and Jim won't budge. You know how stubborn he is."

Jin crossed his arms and glanced away. "Well he can't just stay away from Jungkook because he feels like it. He allowed Jungkook to grow attached now he has to take responsibility."

Jiminie returned his attention to Jungkook like a worried nurse. "Well... if Jim won't come back to be with him I'd be glad to take Kookie off his hands."

Jin shook his head and rolled his eyes at his little brother. "Alright, alright, I should probably bring Jungkook home now. He should rest at his own place."

Jiminie pouted. "Okay..." he said reluctantly, planting a gentle kiss on Jungkook's resting face. "Today was amazing my Kookie," he whispered into the student's ear, smiling when the sleeping man hummed lowly in return.

"Thank you for everything."

Jungkook woke up from someone lightly slapping his face and flinched when he realised he was in a moving car.

"See? I didn't kidnap or drug him, totally awake."

Jungkook blinked at Jin, who sat nex to him in the back of what seemed like an uber.

"Sorry," Jin said with a chuckle. "Didn't mean to wake you but our dear chauffeur was convinced I was kidnapping you and wanted to call the police."

Jungkook rubbed his eyes and groaned loudly. "Ah I feel like I'm having the biggest hangover."

Jin laughed at Jungkook and messed up the boy's hair. "You're a little idiot... but a sweet one."

Jungkook chuckled at the backhanded compliment. "Thanks."

The young student yawned and stretched out his arms as if he was waking up from hibernation.

He felt a little disoriented, but also in need of a long nap on his bed, so that tomorrow, he had all his energy back to give to Jimin.

"Jin? Do you know when I'll see Jim again? I want to plan a nice date for us... today Jiminie told me that that he'd been dealing with most of the panick attacks and flashbacks and... I just want to do something to make him feel better."

Jin plastered a smile on his face though it didn't reach his eyes. "Ah, yeah, I'll let you know..." he said hesitedly.

The older shifted in his seat and nervously looked around. "Did Jiminie tell you anything else?"

Jungkook nodded quickly. "He told me that all the filters were created for different reasons. I was planning on reading more about that when I got home but, is there anything you can tell me?"

Jin glanced at Jungkook but quickly looked down. "Hm, yeah, but you can ask them about that yourself. We're at your place."

Jungkook looked through the dirty carwindow. "Oh you're right. Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow then?"

Jin's brows furrowed. "Don't you have school?

"Well technically I'm working on a school project too if I film tomorrow so..."

Jin smirked at the mischievious glint in Jungkook's eyes. This brat was just making excuses to skip class.

"Goodbye Jin! Tell Jiminie I love him," Jungkook said when the car came to a stop.

The boy jumped out of the uber and waved at the older man as he walked home.

Jin watched the student reach his home and waved back with fondness. He was a nice brat though...

~~~
Jungkook walked past Taehyung to get a glass of water from the kitchen.
"Hey Kook, how did it go? Have you been able to see Jimin and deci-"
Jungkook spoke straight through Taehyung's question. "You think Jim would like bowling? Or maybe golf... he seems like a guy that likes golf..."
Taehyung was speechless for a few seconds before he tried again. "So I guess that means that-"
"I mean he likes other boring stuff so golf falls right in that category... Jungkook perked up and emptied his glass of water in one go.
"Or tennis..."
Taehyung had given up on speaking with Jungkook and simply watched his friend with fascination.
"But maybe he's not even a sporty guy..." Jungkook said softly, before walking back out of the kitchen.
"Hey Tae," the young student greeted as if his friend hadn't been there before.
He took off to his room still discussing things with himself and left Taehyung a little rattled.
"Yup," Taehyung said, focusing himself back on his school work. "That guy has completely lost it."
~~~

Jungkook walked into the café carrying red roses once again.

He felt a little bad for hoping he was meeting Jim today but he couldn't help it. He hated the fact that the filter had to catch all the negative and wanted to make it better somehow. Not that roses would really do the trick.

The first person that catched Jungkook's eye was Jin, who he greeted with a smile.

But then there was a very goodlooking man wearing a black blouse, large round black glasses... and grey hair. The man sat by the window working on his laptop and Jungkook could swear this was not Jimin.

Jungkook's eyes darted from Jin to the man and back in a bit of a helpless way, but Jim quickly came from behind the counter to rescue him.

"Min," he called, making the man beside the window flinch out of his focus.

Jungkook felt like someone had ripped out his organs. Fuck, was he going to meet a new filter? Why did that suddenly make him so scared? What if this guy hated him?

The man with the glasses called Min carefully rose from his seat and approached Jin and Jungkook like a shy teenager.

"Uh, hello," the filter said softly, holding out his hand while seeming extremely uncomfertable.

Jungkook blinked a few times before taking Min's hand to shake it.

"Hi."

Jin seemed to feel just as akward as everyone else and placed a hand on Jungkook's shoulder. "Why don't you guys sit together and I'll bring you some tea."

The man took Jungkook's roses which made Jungkook realise this filter was going to be a lot different from the others.

Jungkook looked to Min, who seemed like he'd rather eat sand than sit with him.

"Oh... okay," the filter answered nonetheless, turning back to his seat without sparing Jungkook a glance.

The student looked to Jin as if the older was throwing him to the sharks, but Jin ignored it and signed Jungkook to take a seat.

Jungkook sat down across from Min and waited for the filter to start talking. But he never really did.

Jungkook wished he'd looked more to the notes he'd made about Min, because all he could remember were the glasses and he felt a little bad about it.

"So uhm... what are you working on?" Jungkook asked, hoping dearly to start a conversation.

Min peeked over his laptop screen in a way that was actually quite cute.

"Mathematics," he answered shortly, before continueing in peace.

Jungkook widened his eyes. "R-really? Don't you have to be like... super smart for that?"

The filter looked at Jungkook once again. "Yes."

The conversation watered down to nothing again and Jungkook felt himself starting to get a little hopeless.

Did this filter already not like him? What could he do to change that?

Jin came to save the day, bringing the men some tea and giving Jungkook a sympathetic smile. "Hey Min, don't you want to tell Jungkook a bit about yourself?" He suggested, sending Jungkook a supportive wink

Min looked up at Jin like a sad puppy. "why?" He asked seriously.

Jungkook wanted to sink into a dark hole.

"Because that's how you start a conversation Min. You don't want Jungkook to feel akward right?"

Min suddenly reached up to touch his ear with his hand and looked around like a lost kitten. "N-no..." he answered, starting to get a little fidgety.

Jin nodded curtly and walked away again to leave the men, much to Jungkook's dismay.

Jungkook wasn't sure what to expect, but as long as the filter spoke to him he had something to work with.

"My name is Min," the man said to Jungkook' relief, still touching his ear as if it was his personal way of soothing himself.

"I like math and comics and superheroes.. I'm somewhere between 17 and 24.... and I don't date."
