FUQBOI was written by Amora and composed by Hea,Byeol, Yoonah and Amora. The song was created by them after YG asked that they produce a love song about a man who's mean to a girl because he is in love with her. The song was supposed to mention things such as the guy's big muscles and player attitude. The girls found the concept laughable and wrote FUQBOI instead.

FUQYOU was written and composed by Byeol. The song was made on her 19 birthday after she was forced to work on a performance for a YG vs JYP battle. Her instructor yelled at her when she tried to leave at a reasonable hour and told the security guards to not let her leave until it was 2 am . Instead of practicing she locked herself in the practice room and wrote this on the drums. The song's classic rock and roll sound fits perfectly with the lyrics's themes of rebellion and rage.

CITRUS performed their songs in underground clubs and busking events,until the day a video of them performing went viral on Twitter, gaining 4 million retweets . ACId STUdio's CEO Tristan Park was asked about the song in a radio interview about his time as a rapper/ producer in YG. He looked at the girl's videos and was impressed by their advanced talent and raw spirit. Noticing the impact they had on twitter, Tristan saw a perfect business opportunity to evolve his company and just like that CITRUS was set to debut.

In the process of being oficially released , FUQBOI became UCK BOI so their music video could be played on TV and they could perform on music shows .The song's message was a bit lost, but most people understood  the context of it . FUQYOU was released as an unpromoted b-side single so the cursing managed to keep intact.

           THE UCK BOI MV

➷ 🍧 —— The song's twisted guitar instrumental intro sets the girls in this hellish purple and red garage with glitch screen effects over them. We can see Hea bringing a lollipop to her mouth and suddenly biting down on it, a loud crunch sound coming out before the song's transitions into the singing part.

➷ 🍧 ——- As the singing starts the scene cuts to a smiling Byeol, walking through a very drama typical park scenery. A handsome perfect male lead type of guy appears and starts walking besides her. Byeol looks explicitly disinterested as she mouths the lyrics

➷ 🍧 —— As the explosive " FUQBOI " verse comes along the scene shifts with a brute cut. Now we see the four girls jumping around on a bed, singing into brushes yelling out the lyrics. Their room is baby pink and they all are wearing baggy metal band shirts.

➷ 🍧 ——-The girls yell and sing directly at  the camera, steppingstones on the lens and saying
" I'd rather cut out my tongue than let you kiss me with yours " right at the viewer.

➷ 🍧 ——— We see night shots of them running around in skate parks, running down crowded streets and putting on glitter makeup on the pavement. The scenes looked like they were filmed on an iphone .

➷ 🍧 ——— As the song goes soft again we return to the KDrama Park, now seeing Hea sitting on a bench being hit on by a " Bad Boy Rich " guy type with a sly smirk. The boy puts his hand on her thigh and Hea's eyes become red lasers.

➷ 🍧  ——— The chorus drop and we cut to Hea in the hellish red garage of the beginning. All the girls rock out, light by burning red lights. They're soaked and they swinged their hair, the droplets looked like blood .

➷ 🍧 ——-We cut to Yoona in a red military uniform. She has passionately delivers an anti-fuckboi speech in a press conference.

➷ 🍧 -——- A red button appear on Yoonah's desk. It's big, red and it says
" DESTROY ALL FUCBOIS "

➷ 🍧 -—— She slams the button, and we see the Rich Bad Boy and The Perfect Male Lead explode in lil red smoke explosions.

➷ 🍧 ——— President Yoonah appears in the girl's tv in their pijama party scenery, she salutes and the  MV ends with them all proudly saluting her.

           THE UCK BOI ERA

➷🍧 —— A fancam of Hea went viral. This bitch didn't look at her bass ONCE FOR 3 WHOLE MINUTES. She was singing,moving around, head banging against her mic and her fingers just keep going on autopilot. She didn't have to even check if they went the right direction, once again kpop stan twitter was CITRUS's bitch.

➷🍧 —- A performance of that gathered a lot of attention was one where they had smeared red lipstick on their mouths. It made them look really badass

➷ 🍧 —- They genuinely promoted so hard for their debut. They uploaded vlogs almost everyday , showing around the company and their process creating the comeback. They did weekly vlives and spammed their official instagram. They played in different rock venues, did a lot of indie radio interviews all on top of performing on music shows.

➷🍧 —- They definitely raised some eyebrows amongst kpop fans, they felt especially out of place during music shows as they were surrounded by idol groups. They felt that as a band they would never be able to compete against their peers.
