"That is all the factors of someone without a soul."

AFTER SHE SPENT THE NIGHT WITH KLAUS, Cassandra found out that Elijah had told Bonnie about what was going on. Even though it was a smart move, they still didn't believe that there was anything to be done. They didn't even know what was truly wrong with her because surely the magic couldn't be doing this to her. Or so they believed that. "Where are we going?" Cassandra asks with a sigh as she follows after Bonnie who was heading up the street, the place had luckily been close to where they had been living.
"Trust me. If anyone can help, she can." Bonnie explains but that wasn't really answering the question, it was just being cryptic which neither brother liked either.
"And who is she?" Klaus's asks, wanting more of an answer because they were not going to just trust some random person to cure cassandra.
"I heard about her. She's supposed to be able to get rid of any magic." Bonnie explains to them as she gestures to the house they were heading towards.
"That's not possible." Elijah states and Bonnie only groans, she knew she should've just taken Cassandra alone but of course they had to tag along.
"Just trust me." She sighs as she glances back at them with an annoyed expression. Klaus rolls his eyes before looking at Cassandra who was staring at the pavement as they walked.
"You're gonna be fine, love." Klaus assures her as he rubs her back a little bit but she only gives him a light scoff.
"Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it." She mumbles as they get up to the door where Bonnie knocks. Klaus frowns at cassandra before the door opens and an older woman is standing in front of them.
"You must be bonnie." The woman says with a smile as she glances over the entire group. "I'm Kiana. Come in." She tells them as she steps aside for them to come inside so she could close the door.
"Hi, I spoke to you on the phone." Bonnie responds with a nod and Kiana gives a hum, glancing at Cassandra for a moment as she knew the girl was the one Bonnie was talking about.
"Yes, your friend has a problem with her magic." Kiana states and Bonnie only nods her head a little bit.
"Yes, it's consuming her." Bonnie tells the woman making her nod slowly, thinking to herself for a moment.
"And what magic is it?" Kiana wanted to know exactly what she was dealing with because there was a weird vibe coming off of the girl who needed help.
"Darkness." Bonnie tells her hesitantly and Kiana falters for a moment but gives a sharp smile towards them.
"Tricky, that is." Kiana says with a nod before taking Cassandra's hand in hers. "Sweetheart, come with me." She drags her along making Cassandra glance back at the others, wondering why they were even here still. How could this woman help her?
"Where are we going?" She asks and Kiana only points to the pool of ice blue water. She turns to Cassandra who only furrows her eyebrows.
"I need you to lay down in the water." Kiana states and Cassandra wanted to leave right then and there. The woman just seemed crazy.
"Why?" Cassandra was not going to do it unless she got a clear explanation.
"We need to see how impure this magic is before we can start." Kiana says, getting a little impatient as she raises an eyebrow at the girl.
"Okay." Cassandra says with a sigh before getting into the water and laying down, rolling her eyes a little. She didn't understand how this was going to help her.
"I am getting a very bad aura from her, what type of magic did you say she uses." Kiana asks Bonnie whos eyes widen for a moment, she didn't even know how to explain Cassandra's situation.
"Um.. she doesn't. It's more like, seperate from her." Bonnie says which only confused the woman even more as she furrows her eyebrows.
"What does that mean?" Kiana asks and Bonnie was about answer when Elijah notices something weird happening with the water.
"What's happening?" Elijah asks causing them all to look at the blue water that was quickly turning black, surrounding the girl.
"Oh, dear lord." Kiana gasps as her eyes widen staring at the dark water bubbling around Cassandra. "Get out." She says as she rushes towards the water and Cassandra only sits up, furrowing her eyebrows. "Get out!" She screams and the girl does what she says, getting out of the water but no one knew why she was freaking out. "I cannot help you, you have to leave. I will have no part in this." Kiana rambles as she shakes her head and Bonnie only furrows her eyebrows, glancing at the others for a moment.
"Wait, you said you could help." Bonnie says, she wasn't about to leave without a proper reason of why they were getting kicked out.
"No, this magic is.. it's pure evil. There's nothing." Kiana shakes her head, she wasn't risking her life for some random girl that she didn't know.
"But--" Bonnie tries to argue but Kiana glares at her, staring at Cassandra with fear in her eyes.
"She has no heart, no emotion, she can't feel even the slightest bit of remorse.". She explains and Klaus only glances at her confused.
"How'd you know that?" He asks and Kiana snaps her eyes to him and he could then see the clear fear in her eyes.
"That is all the factors of someone without a soul." Kiana states making their eyes widen but Cassandra only stares blankly at her. Kiana starts pushing them, gesturing towards the door. "Someone so consumed by darkness that it is eating them up from the inside out." She says as she pushes them towards the door, Bonnie was trying to stop but the woman wasn't allowing her to. "I'm sorry but I can't help you." With that, the woman slammed the door in their face leaving the group absolutely dumbfounded and even less optimistic about their chances against the divine.

THEY HAD GATHERED IN THE LIVING ROOM WITH THE OTHERS AFTER RETURNING FROM KIANA'S HOUSE. No one knew what had happened but they guessed by the look on their faces when they got back that it hadn't been good. Cassandra was sitting on the couch as Octavia had her arm around her, resting her head on her shoulder. "Okay, luckily I was able to get her to tell me the spell she was going to use." Bonnie explains, she had gone back alone and luckily Kiana was kind enough to give her the spell although it also came with a warning that the darkness inside of her was too powerful and that it might destroy her if Bonnie tried to take it from its host.
"But she couldn't do it, what makes you think you can?" Damon asks making Bonnie sigh as she knew they would doubt whether or not she could do it.
"It's not that she couldn't, she didn't want to because of Cassandra's soul." Bonnie corrects him as she turns to Cassandra but Katherine only furrows her eyebrows, hearing the cause of it all.
"What about her soul?" Katherine asks as she flickers her eyes around them and cassandra only shrugs her shoulders.
"I don't have one anymore. That's why I can't feel anything." Cassandra tells them and everyone was shocked to learn that fact because they couldn't think of her without having a soul.
"Fuck, are you serious?" Kol asks and she only nods her head a little bit. Bonnie turns to her, taking her hand and squeezing it.
"Look, you risked letting the darkness out to bring me back and now im not going to stop until I get It out of you."
"Okay." She says simply as she knew that Bonnie was going to keep doing everything in her power since she was the reason why the divine got out in the first place.
"I need you to lay down." Bonnie says and the girl does what she says. Bonnie moves her eyes to the others, frowning a little bit. "Everyone.. you might want to leave." She admits as she knew it wasn't going to be a pretty sight to see.
"I'm not leaving her." Klaus denies, shaking his head as he wasn't about to just leave her when this was so crucial.
"Me neither." Octavia says as she takes Damon's hand in hers. Bonnie nods her head, she knew she couldn't force them leave but they needed to know rules.
"Okay. No matter what happens, do not interfere." Bonnie says as she points a finger at them and they all nod their head. She kneels down, taking her head in her hands and closing her eyes. Starting the spell, cassandra gasps as she feels her chest restricting. Bonnie chants as she grips the girls temples, hearing Cassandra groan lightly.
"Bonnie, it hurts." She admits as she starts moving a little bit and Bonnie only sighs, forcing her body down.
"I know." She says as she watches the girl scream an agonizing sound. "You're okay." Bonnie tells her but she didn't even know if that was reassuring right now.
"Bonnie!" She screams, trying to reach up and grab Bonnie's hands but the girl only magically glues them to the floor. Cassandra wiggles around, it was like her insides were getting burned. "Please, stop!" Cassandra pleads as she kicks her feet at the ground. Bonnie tries to ignore her cries as she tries her best to locate the divine.
"I can't." Bonnie admits, she did feel bad that it was hurting the girl but right now she could afford to care because then she would mess up.
"Bonnie, you're hurting her." Caroline says, tears in her eyes as she hated seeing the girl in such agony. Cassandra let's out another pained scream as her back arches off of the ground. Bonnie only scoffs, glaring at the group for a moment.
"Did you think this would be painless?" Bonnie asks before turning back and continuing the spell. Suddenly a black mist exits her body causing the girl the scream loudly. Everyones eyes widen as they watch the mist swirl around the room before disappearing causing Cassandra's body to go limp.
"Cassandra?" Klaus rushes over to her, his eyes full of concern as he kneels next to her. "Cassandra!" He tries again, shaking her body but there was still no movement from her.
"What did you do?" Nathan asks, his voice a little harsh as he stares down at his best friend who was asleep in her fiancee's arms.
"She's fine. She's just unconscious." Bonnie tells them, not wanting them to worry. They should be more worried about whether or not the spell worked than if Cassandra was awake.
"Did it work?" Elijah asks as he looks down at Cassandra and Bonnie only sighs, shrugging her shoulders as she truly didn't know.
"We won't know until she wakes up." Bonnie says as they all stare at the woman who was unconscious. It was the first time she looked peaceful in such a long time but they knew when she woke up, there were two ways it could play out. Cassandra could be perfectly fine and they could go on living their normal lives.
Or the darkness had taken over completely.

CASSANDRA OPENS HER EYES, feeling drained as she glances around the room, squinting. She could not see anyone there so she had guessed they got tired of waiting for her to wake up. Groaning, the girl sits up and glances around, feeling her whole body ache. Cassandra takes a deep breath before standing up and walking over to the mirror. She grips onto the table, closing her eyes for moment.
She could still feel it inside of her, she knew whatever Bonnie did didn't end up working. Cassandra opens her eyes, looking into the mirror. She didn't know what she would see but she knew if the divine was inside of her, that'd she would see it here. Cassandra waits a could seconds, gripping her head as she felt a pounding headache occur.
Groaning she shakes her head a little bit before staring down at her hands. They were shaking and they were still a pale white. She didn't know why she looked so sick, maybe because her body was constantly fighting for control with the divine. The darkness didn't want to let her win so easily.
Looking at herself, she sees the corner of her lips turn up and a tilt of her head. Cassandra gulps as she knew what this meant. It hadn't worked. It probably didn't do any harm whatsoever to the divine. Cassandra didn't know what it did but it didn't help her in the long run, that was for sure. Cassandra shakes her head, seeing the woman nod hers a little.
But what Bonnie didn't know is that she had not gotten rid of the divine. Instead, she had ripped the door open allowing it to use the weakness of Cassandra's body to its advantage. It got a front row seat exactly where it wanted to be. And there was nothing that was going to stop the divine now. Cassandra stares back at herself, her breath increasing as she shakes her head. But her reflection only laughs, smirking at her and that's when she heard it. The voice. The voice that had tortured her for so long.
"Did you miss me?"
