The beach house was a big wreck, with having a huge party for a new Gem's arrival - banners, decorations, different type of Gems are everywhere - you felt overwhelmed with excitement as you couldn't stop smiling at the Gems who hang out for the party.

The party is nothing much but you helped as much as you could and that made you felt less useless on staying, you were proud of how it turned to, it was the best party you've ever been; might be your first.

You who had a huge tray on your palms walked through the crowds, giving the drinks that you've prepared for the party which they took it with a tint of blossom on their cheeks whenever they saw you passed by; Steven was outside, doing a commercial to invite every gem that is outside in galaxy, somewhere.

You didn't object the idea, and yet, you encouraged him to do so which he beamed more than usual.

After passing out the drinks, you opened the door, welcoming Gems that are there for the party - mostly because of you but they didn't dare to say it - as they entered the house with bright smiles.

"Welcome to the party! I hope you enjoy your stay!" you greeted, stood aside so they could enter.

One of the Jaspers smiled and blushed. "Thanks. I'm pretty sure we will enjoy it more than ever!"

You beamed up. "Really?" you asked with a full of excitement.

"Of course! Care to lead us to the drinks?" she asked.

You nodded eagerly, jumped excitedly. "Of course! It's right over here!" you said and guided.

The new pack followed your steps happily, smiling goofily at the giddy feeling they have; you guided them to the drinks section and politely offered them the drinks which they took it, as you were about to go further in the conversation, you saw Steven opened the door and walked in.

"Excuse me for a moment." you told the pack which they nodded. You quickly ran past the crowds and hugged Steven tightly. "Steven!"

Steven smiled and laughed, hugged you back with the same amount of passion. "Hey, sunshine! Glowing brighter than ever, I see." Steven told.

You pulled away quickly, eyes widened. "I'm glowing?" you shouted, panicked.

Steven laughed. "No! It's a compliment!" Steven answered, chuckling after.

"Oh..." you mumbled, blushed after from embarrassment.

Steven kissed your cheek, smiling widely. "Well, that's the part what I love about you. So don't feel stupid about it." Steven admitted, kissing your temple.

You hummed at his warmth and nodded, lips stretched into a wide smile as your cheeks created a bright blossom colour.

Amethyst came and pulled Steven towards the crowds as Steven grabbed your hand firmly into his. Amethyst smiled at him and stretched her arm out to point out the new Gem. "Yo, dude, come over here and introduce yourself." Amethyst told, pushing Steven to the front softly as Pearl and Garnet joined.

Steven smiled and offered his hand. "Welcome to Earth! My name's-"

"Well, well, well, if it ain't the old Gem saviour himself, Steven Universe!" the new Gem voiced.

Steven quickly retracted his hand to his side and gasped, shoulders tensed at the side of a tiny sized Gem that was coloured in the mix of blue, green, and red.

Steven was quick to notice that it was the fusion of Eyeball and Aquamarine, made him grew uncomfortable at her as he tried his best to form a smile without cracking.

"Bluebird Azurite, at your service! All right, give us a hug then!" Bluebird cheered, hugging Steven after.

Steven tensed at the awkward embrace between him and Bluebird but he forced himself on hugging back. "Oh! Heh." Steven muttered awkwardly.

Garnet smiled. "Cute." Garnet mumbled.

Bluebird pulled away from the hug and quickly beamed up. "Mmm. Oh! You like food, yeah?" Bluebird asked.

Steven furrowed his eyebrows. "Yeah?" he answered uncertainly.

"Well, sit tight, then. I'll be right back!" she replied, flew away with her wings and disappeared in the crowds.

Steven's eyes widened. "What?" Steven asked.

"Yeah, she just got here and is already exploring Earth cuisine." Pearl told as you nodded in agreement.

Steven grabbed your hand and forced them to intertwined, you could see him tensed and pure terrified expression on him, so you decided to do what he always does to calm you down; you rubbed his knuckles with your thumb.

And slowly, it did calm him a bit.

But it was quick to ruined when Bluebird came flying back with a plate of grass, clams and peanut butter - which was your favourite - and walked towards Steven, offering him the plate.

Steven gulped nervously. "What is this?" he asked.

Bluebird smiled further. "Just some old Earth things. Clams, peanut butter, and a side of fresh-cut grass." Bluebird pointed out. She then looked at Steven with wide puppy eyes as she begged. "Please enjoy it. I'm begging you. Please!" she begged, handing the plate towards Steven further.

"Gosh, Steven, don't make her beg." Amethyst told, hiding the smirk that she tried to show.

Steven gulped, he glanced at you as you caught his nervous glance, you smiled at him, encouraging. "It's okay, I'll help." you whispered. You turned and look at Bluebird who had her desperate looks. You smiled and cleared your throat, catching the tiny Gem's attention. "Can I have a try? I love peanut butter!" you pleaded.

Bluebird beamed at your invitation and quickly offered it to you. "Oh, yes please! I'm begging you!" Bluebird begged.

You smiled. "No need to beg me for it, it must be good by the looks of it." you admitted, took a bit of the fresh grass and dipped it into the peanut butter that you loved.

Before you could eat it, Steven chomping it off your fingers and chewed it, humming fakely of its deliciousness. "It- It's great." Steven muttered while chewing, gulping down the chewed food and tried so hard to not gag.

Bluebird smirked widely. "Brilliant." she muttered.

Steven gulped. "Can I see you guys in the bathroom?" Steven said quickly. The Gems nodded and headed towards the toilet. Steven looked at you and smiled softly, cupping your left cheek. "I'm sorry. I'm going to have a Gem meeting. Can you stay here for a bit?" Steven asked.

You nodded eagerly as Steven smiled brightly at it, kissing your forehead before rushed into the bathroom in a hurry, leaving you and Bluebird in the crowds.

You gulped nervously and quickly shrugged the fear, looking down to Bluebird with a warm smile. "Anything that catches your eyes?" you asked politely.

Bluebird smirked, she closed her eyes and returned your smile, clapping her hands once. "Of course! I'm curious about what does 'soda' looks like! They must taste wonderful!" Bluebird replied.

You smiled wider at the request and hopped softly like a child. "They are the best! For the first time I've tasted it, I couldn't stop!" you joked. You then pointed with your arm to the kitchen. "Shall we?" you asked.

Bluebird nodded her head as she gave you a closed-eye smile. "We shall!" she excitedly replied, formed her water wings and quickly flew inside of the kitchen.

You gasped in awe and rushed towards her, squeezing through the crowds and jabbing elbows, you huffed heavily for air once you reached the almost empty kitchen with Bluebird patiently waiting for your arrival.

Your eyes squinted as you smiled at her, tiptoeing and reached one of the sodas in one of the cabinet, you grunt while doing so.

A nearby Quartz noticed your distress and quickly come to rescue, grabbing a soda can and gave it to you with a smile; your eyes glimmered as you quickly bowed in gratitude.

The Quartz shook her head and went back to her pals, her pals jabbed their elbows playfully to her while snickering at her friend's flushed face.

You kneeled to Bluebird and offered the soda to her. "Here you go. You must try it! It's such a wonderful taste on the tongue!" you urged softly.

She smiled back and took the can off your hand, awe as she held the cold drink in hand; her ears caught a glimpse of sound unlocking which signalled herself to quickly look towards the bathroom, she smirked evilly once she sat the group walked out of the bathroom while letting their eyes roamed the crowds.

"(Y/N)!" you heard Steven called amongst the chatterings.

You quickly stood up, waved crazily to let Steven know you're in the kitchen, but to no avail, he seemed to can't see you.

You sighed through your nose softly as you pouted. "Let's go, Bluebird. They're looking-" you stopped your words when you saw Bluebird is not on your side anymore and instead was flying above the crowds' heads while shaking the drink.

Your eyes widened as your legs rushed into the crowds, pushing them softly and apologizing when you accidentally hurt them; but your eyes were locked on Bluebird who is still flying above your head, shaking the drink.

"Oh no. I forgot to tell her to not shake it!" you muttered angrily to yourself, now starting to chase her.

You huffed again for air and got out from the crowds that were surrounding you, your eyes looked towards Steven who opened the can's lid and shut his eyes when the drink squirted on his face aggressively, making him frown.

His eyebrows furrowed when the drink finished, eyes lingered on Bluebird who smiled innocently at Steven.

"How'd that happen?" Bluebird asked innocently.

Steven gritted his teeth as his eyebrows furrowed deeply, his arms flung open. "You obviously shook it." he hissed.

Garnet who was behind Steven cleared her throat. "Chance to change. A-hem." she reminded.

Steven sighed in distress, shoulders slumped in defeat. "You obviously shook it... by accident." he corrected.

This made Bluebird giggled darkly and innocently at the same time.

You busted into the scene, in your hand had few clean napkins you just grabbed as you looked at Steven in panic.

Steven's eyes softened as he set down his drink while smiling at you. "Hey, I was looking for you." Steven said with his tone soft.

You quickly handed the napkins to him while your eyes saddened at the sight. "I-I'm sorry! I forgot to tell her not to shake it!" you groaned, a hand reached to your hair and gripped them tightly. "Ugh! I'm such a clod!" you groaned, teeth gritted.

Steven shushed and calmed you down, took the napkins of your hand and patted his wet cheeks softly, drying them; you watched as he does so with a smile.

"I-I'm sorry-"

"There's nothing to apologise for. I'll just change, okay? I'll be back soon." he replied and kissed your forehead lovingly before leaving the scene with a dirty napkin in hand.

Your eyes trailed him climbing the stairs, without any words was uttered from him, he searched for clean clothes without any complaints.

You pursued your lips in a thin line, hands formed fists on both of your sides. "Did I made him mad?" you asked the Gems.

Amethyst quickly scoffed loudly, waving her hand forward and backwards twice. "Nah, never! He loves you too much to hate you." Amethyst admitted.

Your eyes widened at he words as you felt your cheeks heating up, cupping your cheeks in surprised, the Gems gave you a knowing smirk which made you squealed in embarrassment and ran outside the house with a lot trail of screaming in embarrassment.

The Gems just laughed it off before scattering, leaving Bluebird creeping a dark smirk on her lips with the corner of her eyes squinted.

You leaned your back on the wall and let out a long sigh, eyes closed as your hands slowly losing its strengths and ended up on your sides again; the familiar sunburnt your skins softly, made you inhaled the scent of the ocean.

The door beside you was flung opened with a long creak, revealing Greg who had just done brushing his long brown hair.

He noticed your distress form and quickly straightened his posture, ready to give the best advice he had been keeping for Steven.

He approached you and set a hand on your shoulder, made your eyes widened with an obvious flinch. "Hey, anything's wrong?" Greg asked.

You smiled. "Hi. And no, something's off."

"Off... how?"

"I-I don't know. It just... It wasn't you guys who were off. I think that... I am the one who's off. Is it a decease? Am I sick? A cold? Fever?-" you showered Greg with questions.

Greg nervously laughed, hold in both of his hands in the air. "Woah, woah. Go one by one, I can't understand."

"Sorry. I just..." a piece of loud music interrupted the conversation, which you and Greg flinched at the sudden raised of volume. You laughed nervously, scratching the back of your neck. "Um... Do you know where we can have this conversation? Without any noises...?" you asked.

Greg laughed and nodded, offering you his arm which you linked yours and left the beach house without any words but the sound of music could still be heard from afar.

Greg pulled the door open for you, you got in without complaining as he shut the door for you, Greg did the same to himself and closed his door; he twirled the key to he side, starting the engine before drives away.

Greg awkwardly cleared his throat, he hasn't really interacted with you before and it wasn't much if he did, so it made him pretty nervous to be talking to you since your problem might seem more complicated than what he thought.

Greg tapping on the wheel, tried to ease his nerves down. Again, he cleared his throat. "So, (Y/N). What seems to be the problem?" he asked, palms slowly getting sweater.

Greg heard you sighed, made his lips formed into a very thin line. "I-I..." he heard you began. Another sigh escaped your lips as your eyes began to tear up. "I know this sounds horrific... But... ever since I have trained with Garnet the other day, I couldn't help but get dreams about my dad."

Greg tensed, sweats began to pick up. He nervously coughed before focusing on the conversation. Though, he knew about your situation since Steven had told him in the very first day he found you. "How did it make you feel?"

You looked at Greg with glassy eyes. "I... I honestly don't know." you confessed, gripping on the hem of your shirt. "Is it weird that I miss my dad?" you blurted out.

Greg's eyes widened. "Of course not! He's your dad after all. You have every right to miss him."

You looked down. "I know." A tear escaped your eye and landed on your fists. "I'm just scared of what he will do once he found out about I'm still alive. I do miss him. He takes care of me even though his heart was full of hatred upon me. He still feeds me when I said I needed foods." you sobbed. "Even though he hates me, he still takes care of me as his own."

Greg frowned, his hands tightly hold the wheel. "Of course he will. His responsibility as a father never fades. He is still your father whether he hated you or despised you. It's still his job to make sure you're in well-being."

You sobbed louder. "B-B-But if he did...! If he actually cares for me at least a bit...! Why would he tried to kill me?" you asked, so bing into your hands afterwards.

Greg didn't answer and parked his vehicle in his carwash, he twirled the key again, stopping the engine to stop working and let the windows down.

"If I were him... If I were to hate you, and to kill you... I'll live a miserable life." Greg began. You sobbed and looked at him in confusion. "Your mother died before you were born, right?" he asked which you nodded at it, wiping your nostrils. Greg handed you his napkins which you gladly took. "Then, I'm pretty sure he regrets killing you."

You sniffed. "W-What do you mean?"

"Imagine this. He is the father of his wife's daughter. Obviously, he will be over the moon because he got his loving wife and his daughter to complete his life. But when he heard about the news of his wife's death, he broke down and fell into miserable. He locked his daughter inside of a basement and starved her. But the feeling of him needing to take care of her was still a responsibility of his, so he didn't let her starve and fed her." Greg continued, you sniffed into one of the napkins while listening. "But once the girl was 16, he felt the need of killing her. So he did. He drowned his own daughter in the ocean and left on the shore." You sobbed. "The father returns to his home as he sober. The realization struck him and he broke down twice in his life."

Your eyes widened, imagining the scene in your head as tears drying up.

"He continued his life, drinking and gambling. But nothing could fill his guilt for killing his daughter with his own hands. He realised, he is his own 'freak'. Till this day, he tried so many ways to find his daughter, but no trace was left behind. He locked himself in his house, prayed for his daughter to come back, just feeling how he prayed for his wife to do the same." Greg finished.

You hiccuped, sniffed inside of the napkin and wiped your nose. "M-My dad is looking for me?" you asked with a tint of hope.

Greg shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe, maybe not. God knows. But I assure you, (Y/N). Nothing can ever make his guilt wipe away unless you show up again in his life." Greg assured.

"Really?" you asked with hope.

Greg nodded. "If my point is not realistic, have you noticed anything the last time you saw... um, your father?" he asked.

You tried to recall, eyes squinted as you tried to do so, the painful memories from a year ago still haunted you and it was as clear as water, as a part flashed back, you snapped your head towards Greg and looked at him with wide eyes.

"He was... crying." you slowly pointed out, not believing your own words. "He cried. That day."

Greg hummed, a smile found its way towards Greg's lips.

"The part where... he carried me..." you recall.

A muscular hand-pulled you by the collar, dragging you in the field of sands as your tiny nails scratched his arm and hand, but no avail.

"Please! What did I do?" you asked, the voice was sore from all of the cryings and screamings from before.

Your father's grip tightened in anger, he continued to drag your light body still across the field.

"What did you do? What did you do, you ask me? You had killed your own and my only beloved wife! You are considered a murderer! And I never want any murderer runs my blood in my house!" he shouted before slamming your back on the hard sand, making hot tears rolled down your cheeks roughly.

You peeked your way and looked upwards to only see your father pained and crying face, his teeth were gritted and fangs were shown, his face was so red from holding back his anger and sadness; it caught you off guard but then snapped out of it when you felt him continued dragging your body, continuing screaming of pleadings.

You set a mouth to cover your mouth, eyes widened and teared up again. "That day... when he drowned me..."

Your hands were tightly held by your father and head was forced to meet the water, your screams had turned into muffled and bubbles, slowly and painfully emptying your lungs.

Your father who held you down cries, his throat itched. "Just die! Please! Just be gone out of my life!" he cried, deepening your head into the ocean.

Slowly, your body system shuts down, eyes shutting close and your body stopped struggling.

Your father grinned painfully, looked at your unconscious body that was seemed lifeless, he pulled your head out from the water, eyes pouring out his emotions as he leaned into your ear and whispered.

"Sweet dream, freak."

"He cries..." you recalled.

Greg only nodded and patted your back for comfort, you wiped your tears with one of the napkins and slowed your nose in it, wiping them afterwards.

You looked at Greg. "He... He still loves me?" you asked. "Will he not be disappointed to see me alive?"

"I'm pretty sure it's the opposite." Greg told.

You smiled widely, hands cupped your mouth in surprised as happy tears began to roll down your cheeks, you were thankful.

Suddenly, Bluebird appeared on your window, startling you at the sudden tiny Gem appearance. She frowned when she sees your tears. "What's with the waterworks, love? Did Mr Universe hurt you?" she asked.

You quickly shook your head. "No, no! He would never! It's happy tears!" you cleared up.

Bluebird nodded in understanding. "Oh, uh, Mr Universe, do you have any movies? Amethyst suggested that idea and told me that you probably have them!"

Greg smiled widely. "Of course! Let me show you the old sci-fi horror movie that I've been keeping. Let's watch it together." Greg suggested.

You wiped your tears away and smiled. "That's a very good idea, Greg."

And the next half an hour, you three enjoying the old classic movie, a sudden jumpscare made the three of you yelled in surprise.

"Dad, are you okay?" Steven came into view, his face painted worry.

You, Greg and Bluebird looked up from the movie and flashed Steven a smile. Greg spoke up. "What's up, Schtu-ball? Just showin' Bluebird and (Y/N) some of my old classic sci-fi horror movies." Greg told.

Bluebird beamed up. "Yeah! They're hilarious!"

You nodded. "And spooky! Care to join, Steven?" you asked, patting the empty space beside you.

Steven sighed in relief and smiled, shaking his head. "No, thanks. I'm good." he replied.

"So, what're you doin' over here? Got somethin' on your mind?" Greg asked.

Steven shook his head again. "You know what, Dad? I think I'll be okay." Steven replied.

And with that, he left, leaving the group to continue watching the movie.

Time Skip

It was morning and Steven had woken up early, it starting to become a routine of his since he figured that you were always ole up before the alarm set off.

Steven walked himself towards the bathroom, didn't even notice the missing presence beside him on the bed, he yawned as he entered, scratching his back and tiredly looked at himself in the mirror.

He saw that his face had scribble marks of Blubird's gemstones as he just laughed it off, rolling his eyes with a grin. "Oh, Bluebird, classic prank." Steven laughed it off and washed his face.

He paused when he heard screeches outside the bathroom, quickly he ran out to see the van is inside of the living room with the back doors opened.

"What? Huh? How'd the van...?" Steven paused, grinned afterwards and shook his head. "Oh, gotcha. Welp, I guess Bluebird and Dad must be having a ball together." Steven muttered to himself. He suddenly heard his dad and you screaming outside. He quirked an eyebrow and frowned. "Sounds like they're watching another horror movie. I'm sure everything's just fine." Steven reassured himself.

eyes widened as his legs automatically rushed outside, looking upwards to see.

"Help!" Steven heard Greg yelled.

Steven began to tensed. "O-Okay, Steven. Your dad is fine. Bluebird is cool." Steven reassured again. He walked outside and roamed his eyes towards the familiar field of sand. "Dad?" he called loudly.

"Up here, son!" Greg shouted, gripping his hair for his dear life as you copied his movement.

Steven backed up a bit to see more clearer, cupping his lips and said. "A-Are those screams of fun?" he asked.

"No!" Greg shouted back, gripping onto his hair further.

Steven looked at you and his father who held hairs in fear, your eyes tears up at the painful pull Bluebird was giving you since your hair was shorter to compare Greg's.

Bluebird giggled. "An era ago, there were two Gems celebrated for taking down Homeworld's greatest traitor. But then, they were cast out, forgotten, when the traitor duped all of Homeworld into loving him instead. Now, they've come to Earth for their revenge! And forever shall he rue the names --" Bluebird quickly unfuses, revealing Aquamarine and Eyeball.

"Aquamarine!" Aquamarine exclaimed.

"And Ruby!" Eyeball finished, crossing her arms to look cooler.

Steven boredly watched the two Gems, lips formed a thin line. Aquamarine's eye twitched. "Well? It's us!" she yelled.

"It's always been us, and you never knew!" Eyeball exaggerated.

Steven rolled his eyes boredly. "I always knew. Everyone knew." Steven revealed.

Aquamarine's eyes widened. "What?" she yelled in surprised.

If you knew, then why were your Gems bein' so nice to us, huh?" Eyeball asked angrily.

Steven spreads his arms open. "That's 'cause they're nice! They're nice people!" he exclaimed.

Aquamarine gritted her teeth in anger, tugging on your and Greg's hairs painfully as you let out a soft cry. "Enough of this!" Aquamarine snapped.

Eyeball used her Gem and pulled out a knife and sets it on both of you and Greg, threatening.

Steven's eyes widened at the sight as he stood in defence. "Whoa! Hey, careful with my best friend and my dad! If this is another one of your pranks, you'd better cut it out!"

Eyeball chuckled. "That was just us softening you up! Now, the real torture begins!" Eye all exclaimed.

Aquamarine smirked further. "We've learned so much about your life, Steven. Especially how much you love your precious My-Dad and Love. But, if you want him back, you'll have to do us a favour or two, such as... destroying your house!"

"Yeah!" Eyeball agrees.

"Bubble your friends!"

"Yeah!"

"And burn Little Homeworld to the ground!"

"Do it!"

"No!" Steven yelled.

Aquamarine snickered. "Then My-Dad and Love gets it!" Aquamarine threatened.

"Gets what?" Eyeball asked, oblivious.

Aquamarine rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Gets hurt. Just do what we saw in that movie!" Aquamarine told harshly.

"Oh, yeah!" Eyeball realises and laughs maliciously.

Greg's eyebrows furrowed. "... Aah! That's enough!" he snapped.

Greg snatched the knife away from Eyeball as she yelled in protest, he sets the knife on yours and his hairs, ready to snatch it off; Steven's eyes widened at the sight.

"No!" Steven yelled in protest.

Your eyes widened at Greg's doing and quickly blinked your tears away. "Wait, Greg. Don't!" you protested.

But Greg didn't listen and cut the both of your hairs with a cut, quickly releasing you and Greg from Aquamarine's grasp.

Your eyes widened when you felt the gravity pulled you downwards, a sudden pain on your left side struck and you cried in pain, tears flowing further.

Before you know it, you and Greg had landed onto the ground harshly since Steven didn't manage to catch you both, Steven's eyes widened further, it went in a flash before he even knows it.

You hugged your left side desperately, realises that your side had hit the corner of the roof; you formed yourself into a little ball and cried loudly.

"Dad, (Y/N), are you guys okay?" Steven asked in worry, kneeling to the two-person he loved.

Aquamarine scrunched her face in disgust. "Ugh! Disgusting!" she gagged and threw the hairs onto the ground next to Greg.

Greg whimpered when he saw the hair that he had cut, he crawled towards it and hugged it tightly. "Oh, my baby!" he cried, crying further and sobbed aggressively.

Steven's eyes looked between you and his dad, his hands that were on his sides and formed fists, his teeth gritted and his skin began glowing pink.

"Father, go inside and take (Y/N) with you." Steven lowly ordered.

Greg quickly helped you up and forced you to walk, entering the house with you and his hair in arms, eyes kept on bawling.

Once Steven confirmed that you and his dad were safely inside, he quickly summoned his shield and fully turned pink, eyes held full rage.

"I won't let you get away with this!" Steven shouted angrily, jumped up towards his enemies.

Steven pushed both Gems onto the field of sands, teeth-gritting further.

Aquamarine and Eyeball landed beside each other and quickly regained postures. "We have to fuse if we're going to beat him." Aquamarine ordered.

Aquamarine forces herself onto Eyeball and glowed but quickly was separated after.

"What was that?" Eyeball asked in anger.

Aquamarine's twitched. "You were uncoordinated. Try again!"

They tried again and failed, they did it for multiple times, ignoring Steven's presence who watched them in anger; they failed again as Eyeball held her fist towards Aquamarine.

"That's it! I've had it with you!" Eyeball yelled in anger.

Aquamarine fought against Eyeball's punches as they continued, Steven who watched returned his glowing form into normal, he sighed and discard his shield.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. You guys fused just because you hate me, didn't you?" Steven asked, said in a calmer tone.

Eyeball and Aquamarine turned and looked at Steven. "Yes!" they snapped and yelled in unison.

Steven sighed. "If that's the only reason, then it's no wonder you can't keep it together." Steven said, saying it in a 'duh' tone.

Aquamarine frowned. "What are you talking about?"

"There are so many other reasons to fuse, like friendship and responsibility... and love. Imagine how much better it would feel to fuse to support each other instead of tearing someone down. Your life would fill with warmth and friendship and joy, and love and -"

"Wowie, wow! He is so annoying!" Eyeball loudly admitted, covering her ears in distress.

"I hate him so much!" Aquamarine said after.

Eyeball and Aquamarine smiled widely at each other, palms met together. "I know! Me too!" they said in unison before fusing again.

Steven slumped his shoulders and watched the scene unfold. "Are you kidding me?"

Bluebird returns and laughed maniacally. "Back at last!" she cheered, summoning her ice swords and continued the evil laughs.

Steven copied and summoned his shield, shielding himself from harm.

"En garde!"

"Steven, why is Greg crying in the bathroom? And why (Y/N)'s side look bruised?" Pearl asked, looking back at you who is on the couch, desperately holding your side.

Amethyst joined her and squinted her eyes, stepping outside of the house. "Tell him he's gotta move his dang va- ah!" Amethyst yelled in horror when she saw what Bluebird did to Steven.

Steven continued to shield himself with his shield while Bluebird continued chanting 'Die!' and slashed her sword onto the shield, smiling madly.

Bluebird paused her action when she saw the trio walked out of the house with shocked faces. She tried to cover her sword behind her back, smiling sheepishly. "Now, if it isn't my favourite trio." she said sweetly.

Garnet touched Pearl's and Amethyst's shoulders, glowing and merged, fusing into Alexandrite; Bluebird gulped at the sight of giant Gem.

"Oh, no." Bluebird gulped.

Alexandrite slaps Bluebird into the ground and they unfuse, Bluebird did the same.

Steven approached the enemies with a bored face, kneeling onto the hole. "Are you two okay?"

Aquamarine peeked out of the hole, hands intertwined with Eyeball's. "Oh, we've been defeated." she dramatically told.

"Yep." Eyeball boredly replied.

"I've completely learned my lesson."

"Huh?" Eyeball quickly asked in confusion.

"I'm sorry, Steven. Accept my apology?" Aquamarine pleads, offered her hand for Steven to shake. Steven mindlessly handed out his hand to shake but Aquamarine quickly swiped her hand away, laughing. "Gotcha
You may have gotten us this time, but we'll be out there." Aquamarine dragged Eyeball, forcing her winds to fly with the added weight.

"Hating you!" Eyeball continued.

Aquamarine replied after. "Forever!"

"You smell...!" Eyeball mocked before disappearing into the sky.

The group of four watched boredly as the enemies disappeared, Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst watched in confusion.

Amethyst shrugged. "I guess, there really are Gems out there that hate you." Amethyst said bluntly.

Steven sighed. "Yep, but I'm not the one they hurt." Steven said, eyes widening after. "Oh gosh! (Y/N)!" he yelled in realisation. But Steven paused when he saw his father sat on the shore, looking sad at his loss. Steven approached him slowly and patted his father's back. "I'm really sorry, Dad. I never should have given Bluebird a chance." Steven said, sighing after.

Greg sighed as well, shaking his head. "I love how you believe in everyone. You stuck to your principles, and I'm proud of you. I mean, everyone can change, but not everyone wants to."

Steven smiled and looked at the sunset. "Yeah."

"Goodbye, old pal. You're finally free." Greg muttered sadly, he lets go of his hair and watched in swims on the calm ocean in painful expression. Greg smiled and waved at it. Steven watched the scene unfold, the feeling of regret still painted on his heart. Greg looked at his son and smiled sadly. "You might want to see (Y/N). She's in more pain than me." Greg told.

Steven's eyes widened, he hesitantly wanted to stand up and pleaded from his eyes to go, his father smiled and nodded, with that, Steven rushed himself towards his home, his heart pounding painfully.

He busted the door open and roamed around, quickly caught you in his eyes; you were wincing slightly, your eyes were half-lidded.

"(Y/N)!" Steven called, rushing towards you. He kneeled in front of you, eyes widening at your torn cloth.

You groaned, shaking your head. "N-No. Don't touch it. It's starting to get better." you advised.

Steven looked at your bruise uncertainty as his hands itching to tear your clothes to get a better look on your bruise.

You smiled softly at Steven and patted his poofy hair, snickering before wincing at the pain. "I'm fine. I just... maybe sleeping can help."

Steven snorted and smiled, he kissed your temple lovingly and told you to lay down, with a very much effort, you finally laid down your head on a pillow; Steven brought a blanket and cover you, you smiled at his gratitude.

"Lean down a bit. I want to kiss you." you told.

Steven chuckled and quickly leaned downward and catch your lips perfectly into his; he closed his eyes at the passionate kiss, grinning goofily as your giggles turned into muffles.

Your eyes fluttered open, hands holding his shoulders as you slowly pushed him away; Steven looked at you quizzically and confused.

"What? Is it my breath? Was it horrible?" Steven quickly asked, huffing his breath on his palm and sniffed on it. You snickered and shook your head, sitting up. "Woah, what are you doing? Your side is not healed yet."

You shook your head. "No, it has." you replied, tugging shirt upwards and showed your side, it seemed like it had never been touched but a long scar could be seen - it was from before, your dad and all. "You healed me."

Steven's cheeks brightened as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Whoops. Didn't mean to do that. It kind of had a mind of its own, you know?"

You giggled and just crashed yourself into Steven, capturing Steven's lips perfectly into yours as the two hybrids shared the passionate kiss; both of yours and Steven's cheeks brightened, Steven pulled your face closer as his lips getting needy for your lips.

The Gems and Greg only watched in amusement, shaking their heads before leaving the scene to give the hybrids privacy.
