๐„๐†๐†๐’๐˜ walks alongside Jane as the two make their way down the street to their apartments.

Neither of them talk but the silence isn't awkward. Eggsy tries his best not to stare at Jane. After the talk with his friends at the pub, he had been thinking about his friendship with Jane.

Of course they just became friends and she was really cool. But the downside of the friendship was that she was absolutely gorgeous and Eggsy was attracted to her, yet he knew he would never be her type.

Hell she didn't even know what her own type was but Eggsy knew he would never stand a chance.

The two stop and stand outside Jane's door as she gets her keys out her purse. She glances over at Eggsy who seems to be having an internal conflict. She smiles lightly and waved her hand in-front of his face.

"You wanna come inside?"

Eggsy snaps out of his inner turmoil and thinks about his rely before he opens his mouth.

"Sure."

Jane opens the door and steps in then closes it behind Eggsy. Her heart skips a beat as she breathes in his woody scent. Her body warms up as she feels the heat from his body as he stands near her. With her mind running at 100mph, she decides it's probably best to stay in the living room.

"I'm gonna go change really quick. Make yourself at home."

Eggsy nods as she quickly passes him and runs into her room. He lets out a huge breath of air and walks over to the couch. He didn't know why he was feeling nervous. He had been here too many times to count ever since they started to become closer.

Sitting down he runs his hand down his face and shakes his shoulders, trying to relax. He freezes as he hears the door open and Jane's bare feet padding across the floor.

"Want a cuppa?"

"Yeah that would be great."

Jane makes the two a quick cup of tea and then hurries into the kitchen. She hands the cup to Eggsy then sits down beside him with hers in hand.

"Thanks Jane."

"Of course. Thanks again for walking with me. And for staying at the pub until I close. You don't have to do that. But I'm very grateful."

"It's honestly no problem."

Jane lightly places her cup on the table then turns to look at Eggsy as she sits cross crossed. She smiles at him making him look at her in confusion.

"Something on my face?"

"No. I'm just trying to figure out why you always wear those caps. You have a full head of hair under there. Yet you never show it."

Eggsy chuckles, "How do you know it's a full head of hair. I could be balding."

Jane bursts out laughing making Eggsy smile widely, "Eggsy Unwin there is no flipping way that you would be balding. Never. Take the hat off."

"Why?"

Jane chuckles as Eggsy tries to move away from her, "I just want to see. I bet you have nicer hair than I do."

"Nah I'm okay."

"Eggsy take off the flipping cap."

"No." He laughs as he tries to swat her hands away from his hat.

She yells yes and tackles him making him fall back on the couch. Eggsy freezes as he realizes that Jane was now straddling him. She rips off his cap and whistles staring at his golden locks.

"Well well well... the boy does have a full head of hair. I'm quite jealous actually."

Eggsy chuckles nervously trying not to move his hands to her waist. Jane notices his awkward laugh and then realizes herself the position she was in.

"Shit I'm sorry."

"No it's okay!"

"No it's not. I'm so sorry."

Both sit up quickly, bumping heads then freezing as their eyes meet. Eggsy stares into Jane's now hazel looking eyes as they gleam brightly back at him. They move in closer to each other, leaning closer and closer. Just as their lips slightly touch, a slammed door echoes throughout Jane's apartment from next door. The two jump away from one another and catch their breath not trying to make eye contact.

"It's uh getting late. I better get home."

"Uh yes of course!"

Eggsy smiles as Jane hands him his hat. She walks him over to the front door then opens it. He walks through and turns around, catching her gaze.

"Goodnight Jane."

"Night Eggsy."

Eggsy nods slightly then walks over to his door. He glances back at her one more time just as she does then he waves and walks into his home. Jane shuts the door and leans back against it as her fingers graze over her lips. She smiles looking up at the ceiling, as she thinks back to Eggsy's warm soft lips.

'No Jane! What the hell are you thinking? No feelings! No commitment! It only leads to heartbreak.'

Sighing, she realizes that her inner conscience is right and cleans up her kitchen before heading to bed.

...

"You two are being weird."

Eggsy looks away from Jane as she stands at the bar behind the cash register. His friends all stare at him in confusion as he shrugs.

"What? I have no idea what you lot are on about."

Jamal and Ryan give each other a look before smirking at Eggsy.

"It happened didn't it. Last night you guys finally slept together."

Eggsy groans , "No! Of course not. I told you, we're just friends."

"For now." Brandon sings making Jamal and Ryan chuckle.

"Whatever."

Jane walks over to the table but doesn't make eye contact with Eggsy. She gives them check without any jokes or sass, then disappears behind the counter once again.

"You broke her!" Ryan slaps the back of Eggsy's head.

"What the fuck bruv?"

"What the shit happened last night? She was fine yesterday! She hasn't smiled once today!" Jamal whisper yells while crossing his arms over his chest.

Eggsy glances over at Jane and sees that she wasn't glowing as much as she usually does. He sighs and quickly makes his way over to the bar. Sliding over the counter, he then grabs Jane's hand to her dismay and pulls her to a corner in the back.

"Eggsy... what the fuck are you doing?"

"Jane what's wrong?"

Jane frowns as she looks at Eggsy's serious face, "What do you mean? Nothing's wrong."

Eggsy shakes his head and holds his arms up by her head while looking down at her intensely. Jane feels her heart drop into her stomach as he hovers over her closely.

"Jane, I know something's up. It's okay if you don't tell me, but please just let me know that you're alright."

Jane looks up at his caring face and concerned eyes then smiles lightly, "Eggs I'm okay. Just having a rough day is all. Thanks for caring but I promise I'm fine."

He stares at her waiting for a hint of her lying. He then nods and puts his arms down by his side once again. He turns to walk away but Jane impulsively grabs his wrist and pulls him towards her. She leans forward and kisses his cheek then moves away.

"I love being friends with you Eggsy. I really don't want it to be ruined. You get me?"

Eggsy knew exactly what she meant. They almost crossed the line last night. Them kissing would have probably lead to them sleeping together, which would have then crossed over the friendship threshold to the friends with benefits because neither was ready for a relationship. He valued his friendship with Jane and didn't want it to be ruined either.

"I understand and agree Jane. Don't worry."

Jane lets out a breath of relief then nods, "Alright good. I gotta get back to work."

Eggsy nods and moves so she can walk past him. As she disappears, they both glance at each other once more smiling before she's finally out of sight. After composing himself, he walks back to the guys as they wiggle their eyebrows and open their mouths to say something.

"Don't even think about it."

Why do you think Jane has an issue with love?

You think they would've crossed the line if they hadn't been interrupted or snapped back into reality? Would crossing the line really have been bad?

How do you think Jane will fit in this story? How will she mesh in Eggsy's life?

Future predictions?
