Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 7 : Cᴀʟʟ ᴍʏ ɴᴀᴍᴇ

(Y/n)'s POV

"Enna Core."

Khun had a big smile that made him hot that would drive any girl crazy. The guy who introduced himself as a servant of De Jah, named Grand de Lee, look at Khun with doubts of what he can do if he's only a lightbearer.

While I was wondering what Khun was doing, his lighthouse changed suddenly, cutting a checkerboard pattern on each side of the cube. Suddenly, a sphere full of cells like honeycomb appeared. The whole thing was big enough and had the same colour as Khun's lighthouses.

I suddenly look at him, jealous of what he did.

"You can't surpass me !! How did you learn to do that ?!
- You should stop being a lighthouse bearer, I'm much better than you."

He keeps teasing me in a smooth voice and I'm making my way through it grumbling. As our group walked away as if nothing had happened, Grand de Lee looked at us screaming.

Then all of a sudden he doesn't say anything and I suddenly have a bad feeling. Everything is going slowly around me, thanks to my ability to anticipate attacks. Some kind of bee flies directly to Khun's lighthouse using Enna Core.

I rush to crush the bee and I can see a smile on the locked man.

Poison. The bee has poison. I can smell it, I can't crush it but what can I do then ?

I was going to stop it anyway and I saw Khun running towards his lighthouse too, he must've noticed the attack.

"There's poison, don't touch to this bee !!"

I was going to sacrifice myself, then anyway, my resistance to the poison is strong. When I was about to catch the bee in my hands easily because I could see it flying very slowly, Khun threw himself on me and the bee ended up breaking the lighthouse.

"WHY DID YOU STOP ME ?!
- YOU SAID YOURSELF THERE WAS POISON, YOU IDIOT !
- I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP, YOU STUPID JERK !"

I was about to continue insulting him when I saw strands of a colour I knew well, falling to the ground. I looked up at Khun's face, which was framed by his now-cut hair.

"Your hair, Khun...
- It's okay, as long as you're all right..."

His hair that was tied up has been cut by the bee because of her speed and now it's almost back to the same length as 2 years before, the little length that's left, still tied up.

It was after hearing a voice that I noticed that someone with green hair was in Khun's lighthouse and is now on the debris of it.

"You kidnapped someone ?
- What the hell were you thinking again ? His name's Beta, and I keep him hidden...
- SO YOU KIDNAPPED HIM !"

Once again we get into another words fight. We stop suddenly when we see Grand de Lee coming out of his grip, thanks to the broken lighthouse.

"How do we do it now..."

I grind my teeth and Khun picks me up by the hand and pulls me up.

"Being sweet, you know how to be ?
- I'm sorry, would you have preferred something more like that ?"

He suddenly puts his arm around my waist and I try to push his face away with my hand against his cheek while he has a smirk on his face.

"No thanks, playboy."

Grand de Lee's POV

I'm staring at them, wondering if I'm being totally ignored, or just ignored a little. It all comes down to the same thing, I'm being ignored.

"Hey... I'm here. Can we keep fighting ?
- Why are you embarrassed (Y/n) ?
- Let me go, Khun."

Why young people are so rude these days ? Well, never mind, they'll see if they should've ignored me ! I grab my weapon and run to the duo since the rest of their team is further away.

"Khun ! (Y/n) ! Watch out !"

The brown-haired girl with a horn warned them by shouting but it was already too late for them.

The blue-haired boy pushed the girl with him when he saw my sword, and as it was about to sink into his stomach, everything stopped. All the shinsu in the air suddenly disappeared and all movement was slowed down or even stopped.

3rd person's POV

"What's going on...?"

Endorsi can't move, even if she's a princess of Jahad. Boro and Sachi are stuck like everyone else and Khun is staring at the sword that's in contact with his coat. Everyone moves a few centimetres a minute and yet Beta gets up as if nothing is happening.

"Why aren't you moving ? Is this a contest ?
- Beta ? Can you move ?! That's right, after all you're a weapon..."

As Khun was talking to Beta, (Y/n) stood up after being pushed by Khun before the shinsu was sucked in anywhere.

"I can move too..."

Everyone's looking at (Y/n), shocked. Grand de Lee murmurs a few words that Khun can hear, being nearby: "Two monsters..." Khun gnashes his teeth at the man's words.

"Hey. Kill him. — Order Khun to Beta
- Are you giving me orders now ? I don't see why I have to listen to you.
- Hey, it's Beta, right ? Let's do it, I can't see his stupid face personally anymore."

Beta laughs and looks at (Y/n).

"You, I like you. (Y/n), right ?
- Yeah, nice to meet you.
- Let's celebrate this meeting by giving him a facelift !"

Khun laughs inwardly, they were meant to get along together, he thinks.

(Y/n) takes an impulse and jumps straight to the man in armor who can't duck. Beta does the same behind him, activating his demon for doing more damage.

Grand de Lee receives a blow to the belly from the front and the back, digging a huge hole in his armor and in his body because of the destructive power of both.

"Not bad for a guide.
- Not bad for you, too."

Beta smiles and gives a high-five to the red-haired girl with their hands full of blood and (Y/n) smiles back. The rest of the group watches the man's body falls lifelessly to the ground, blood running down the pavement.

"But why is all the shinsu absorbed like that...
- Bam. Bam fight against Hell Joe."

Everyone looks at Khun who just spoke and seems to agree with him. And they weren't wrong, because further into the castle, Hell Joe and Bam with Urek Mazino had begun a destructive fight.

"We can't all move around like you do with the concentration of shinsu... — Expressed Boro
- It becomes stifling..."

Endorsi managed to express her impressions before suffocating, the rest of the group coughing. Beta and (Y/n) looked at each other before running off to where the shinsu was gathering.

"We're going to stop all the shinsu from being absorbed ! Save yourself and don't talk ! — shouted (Y/n) as they ran, looking worriedly at Khun
- Guide, get on my back !"

Beta squats down and the red-haired girl quickly climbs onto his back, putting her arms around his neck to hold herself. The human-activated weapon took off from the ground the next second, flying at full speed towards the battle site.

The location was not difficult to find, the concentration of shinsu gathering at only one point. As the duo who were already getting along very well arrive, Bam and Urek are fighting Red Thryssa, a monster which was used by Hell Joe, sucking the shinsu to create a deadly bomb. Bam uses the power of the thorn and also gathers a large amount of shinsu as if to beat him.

"What can we do ?! — Ask Beta while watching (Y/n)
- I have an idea."

The guide taps Beta's shoulder and soon enough he realizes she wants him to get her closer to Bam and Urek.

"Hey, shirtless guy, what's Bam doing ?!
- "Shirtless guy" ? And how do you guys still moving ?
- I control the shinsu.
- I don't need it. — Shrug the human-activated weapon
- You control the shinsu, pretty lady ? You think you can help baby ?"

(Y/n) try not to focus on the weird nicknames and she nods. Urek tells her his plan and what he told Bam to do. Bam has to concentrate some shinsu to make a crack in Red Thryssa for Urek to finish it.

"I have complete confidence in baby, but all that shinsu strength takes time to gather it, and it's not much, since Red Thryssa's already absorbed some of it. Do you think you can get some shinsu out of the bomb and give it to Bam ?
- I've been trained in shinsu a long time ago, but let's see if I can do it."

Urek smiles at the girl, and Beta removes (Y/n) from his back to put her on his shoulders, to not block her attack.

Beta protects the guide who seems to gather shinsu in her hands, the black mass that the Red Thryssa created is losing in intensity little by little.

But it wasn't the only thing that was losing intensity. (Y/n) begins to exhaust herself, gathering all her forces to draw the maximum amount of shinsu from the bomb, or even stop it to avoid any problem, and then let Bam and Urek finish the monster.

Beta did everything to keep (Y/n) awake, so she wouldn't faint. He pinched her legs slightly, although his strength still managed to tear her leggings and make her bleed, but the pain in her legs kept her clearly to don't fall down.

As the bomb was running out, the power of Bam's attack he was preparing increased dramatically.

But suddenly, the Red Thryssa gathered all his strength and (Y/n) felt trapped. As if the bomb was about to explode inside her. The monster was putting an invisible pressure on her to stop her, but she wasn't going to give up that easily.

As the red-haired woman's vision blurred, the pain in her legs became more intense and she could hear the voice of her new friend, Beta, calling out her name.

Eventually her eyes closed.

10 years before

"Mr.Yu, my legs hurt, and I'm exhausted ! We've worked all day...
- (Y/n), you know, you learn better when you're exhausted."

The little girl with the (h/c) hair is pouting and crossing her arms, sulking her teacher.

"Why do I have to learn all this stuff anyway ? Being a guide is good enough, right ? Why should I know how to use shinsu, too ?"

The older man looks at the child and thinks for a moment to say something not too harsh.

"One day, you'll have to protect yourself. And an another day, you must help the people you love to save them. Don't you want to be strong enough to be able to continue living with them, even if it's dangerous ?
- I'm afraid of what's dangerous... Why can't I just run away ? That's what mom always does..."

Jung runs one hand through his hair, thinking a little more. He lets out an exasperated sigh and looks the girl in the eyes.

"If later, you or your loved ones are in danger... What would you do ?
- Well... If they were in danger, I'd help them, I guess. But if it were me... I'd leave. Far away from them. So I wouldn't cause them any trouble."

The blond man looks at the (h/c)-haired child surprised and strokes his head gently.

"Wouldn't you be sad ?
- Of course I would, but I think I'd rather to know they're in security. Than in danger."

(Y/n)'s POV

That's what I always thought. That's what drove me to flee Khun's team two years ago. My problems had led to the loss of Mr. Yu and my mother before by the Jahad's army, and I didn't want to see them die too by the hands of FUG this time.

What an unfair life, isn't it ?

No one is there to protect those I care about, because I have to do it myself. But if I was the problem, I'd always rather run away.

But Mr. Yu was right. Running away can't be a way of life. You have to fight the problem at its root and not leave your loved ones behind.

But now that someone else has a problem, what should I do ?

Khun and the team are running out of shinsu for breathing and Bam's doing everything he can to beat this monster.

But what am I doing ? I'm just going to stand here and do nothing ? When I promised myself I'd never turn my back on my loved ones again, I was joking ?

I have to help them. I have to save them, not let them down.

I promised Khun I'd never leave him again, that I'd tell him everything about myself little by little. I can't break that promise...

"(Y/n) ! Answer me ! Shit, she's fainted !!"

I open my eyes, a gleam of combativeness inside. The pressure of the Red Thryssa is gone and I stand up again, because I was having fallen against Beta.

"Finally, you're awake !! The full product is almost ready ! You've got to help him a little more ! Can you do that ?
-... Yes."

I could see his surprised look on his face when I changed. I don't joke like I used to, and I can feel something burning in my heart, pushing me to fight.

To save my friends.
Beta, Boro, Sachi, Bam.
To save the ones I love.
Mr. Yu, Mom... Khun.

As I thought of all this names, I could see a gleam of light shining in my hands, and the light was passed into Bam's hands. The bomb seemed to have disappeared and I could see Bam and Urek attacking the Red Thryssa together, as I felt all my strength abandon me.

My legs, my arms, my head, my whole body becomes heavy all of a sudden and I feel myself capsizing backwards in the void.

All I heard was my name being shouted by a guy I know well.

After that, everything went black.
