My Serenity (alex x willie x oc)

SJ POV
Tonight was going to be the biggest night of my life. My best friends and I were going to be playing in the Orpheum and I get to watch them rise to fame with me.
I played piano and was a backup singer.
When I first met Alex, Bobby Luke and Reggie I absolutely hated myself and my name.
I didn't feel like perfect little Serenity. I wanted to be something big. I wanted my name in bright, bold letters on a billboard.
Now I'm SJ. Rocker, loud talker and sneaky catwalker.
Alex first introduced me to Luke and Reggie in high school during a music class. I had meet Bobby a day later.
Alex and I had grown up with each other and our parents were best friends when they were kids.
I was the first person that Alex came out to. He told me he liked both guys and girls a month before we got the call that we were going on tour over the summer.
I supported him because I knew how hard it must have been for him. He had the courage to speak up and share his feelings.
I only wish I could tell him how I feel.
We had just finished rehearsal and Luke was craving some street dogs. They suck ass but hey, whatever makes my boys happy.
Luke tried and failed effortlessly to flirt with a girl named Rose.
"Come on loverboy," I said as I dragged him out of the venue. "You'll get her on your way in."
"So boys, and SJ. What are we thinking? Street dogs with every topping?" Luke grinned as he slung his arm around my sweaty shoulder.
"Last time we did that, Reg almost puked on stage," Alex pointed out.
"Hey, where's Bobby?" I asked as I looked behind us, suddenly noticing his absence.
"He said he's a 'vegetarian'. Just trying to impress that very pretty lady," Reggie smirked.
We crossed the street after the guys waved at some fans of theirs. I rolled my eyes as Alex and I laughed at Reggie and Luke for their childish behavior.
"SJ," Alex whispered into my ear causing me to shiver. "We should ditch them."
"Dude, you do realize we still have to perform. Besides, I'm starving. I haven't eaten since this morning when you insisted we get waffles at the diner," I replied.
"Right, right," He ran his fingers through his hair and turned away awkwardly.
We arrived at the street dog dude and all bought our hot dogs.
Luke plopped down on a couch with way too many mystery stains on it.
"Eat up because after tonight we are going to be legends," Luke held up his street dog before we all bit into ours.
It tasted weird but maybe it was because I finally tried pickles on my hot dog.
We were eating silently and I tried to calm my nerves.
Luke finished eating first and the rest of us finished up. We sat there for another minute before getting up.
And what happened next will be forever ingrained in my memories.
Luke stood up and immediately on the couch before passing out on the concrete. His body hit the ground first and Alex, Reggie and I stood up to help him.
Reggie went down next. His eyes rolled to the back of his head and he whimpered before falling over next to Luke.
"SJ, I don't feel good," Alex moaned as he slumped over on me.
"No, don't say that. We're going to be okay. It's probably bad food poisoning," I tried to convince him.
I held Alex's hand and stared at my two boys on the ground.
I couldn't move. I was paralyzed.
Alex's full weight was suddenly on me and I tried to move my head to see him. His head was on my leg now.
"Alex," I whispered, my vision was getting foggy and I knew that no one was around to help.
We were dying.
The last thing I remember was the feeling of Alex's hand in mine and Luke and Reggie together on the concrete.
The last thought was that I'd never get to tell Alex that I love him.
-----
I woke up gasping and sat up. I was in my house.
Only... it wasn't my house. My room that was once blue with band posters was now yellow with someone named Taylor Swift.
My bed wasn't my bed.
"Mom?" I called out. No one answered.
I got off the bed and walked downstairs. A little girl with long brown hair was sitting in the living room.
"What are you doing in my house?" I asked.
She acted like she didn't hear me. She was watching TV but it was a show I had never seen. She got up from the couch and I stood in front of her, blocking her path.
"Who are you?" I asked again, knowing this time she would see me.
Instead, she walked right through me.
I gasped and felt my body. I had on the same clothes from the night before. Same leather jacket and Beatles t-shirt with jeans and boots.
"Sweetie," A woman's voice called from the kitchen.
The little girl went there and I followed her.
The woman, who I presumed was the girls mother, has the same long brown hair but with greys popping out. I didn't recognize her and I certainly didn't recognize my kitchen. It had been remodeled and looked brighter.
"Sarah, please go finish your math homework," The woman told the little girl, Sarah.
"Yes mommy," Sarah sighed and went back upstairs. I followed her back into my room.
I examined my room when I went back in. Yellow walls, posters about movies and singers that I didn't know.
But what freaked me out the most was the calendar on the wall.
July 23rd, 2019.
What. The. Hell.
This was some sort of sick prank.
"Okay guys, you got me," I yelled out, waiting for Alex, Luke and Reggie to pop out and tell me this was just for fun.
"Why're you yelling?" A guy asked. He also had long brown hair but was wearing a helmet and carrying a skateboard.
"You can see me?" I asked him.
"Yeah, you're a ghost, duh," The dude said. "I'm Willie. I used to live here."
-----
Willie took me outside the house and explained stuff to me. Stuff about the afterlife and ghost rules. He told me about how he died and I told him my name.
"I didn't actually think I would die," I confessed.
"Yeah, well. Not all of us expect it," Willie sighed. "That was my house back there. My sister Sarah was only three when I died. Broke my dad so he left."
"I used to live there too, in Sarah's room. Back in 1995, I'd never expected to die just hours before becoming a rock legend. My mom and dad never really supported my dreams but were happy with my decisions. Our band was going to be legendary."
"I remember reading about you. Sunset Curve, right? Food poisoning that could not be reversed. Immediate convulsions and body shock," Willie said, staring at me. "Sorry, its just that you're legends."
"We're legends because we died?" I asked idiotically.
"Well yes. Because of you, there were stricter health codes put into place for street vendors. A lot has changed in the 24 years since you've been gone, SJ," Willie replied.
When he said my name, it was like Alex saying it. It was melodic and stupid but it made me happier than I've felt since the night we were going to perform.
-----
Willie and I had gotten close. He had taught me everything I needed to know about ghosts. I could walk through walls but also chuck an actual brick if I wanted to.
I could summon my piano anywhere I wanted and I could go wherever without any trouble.
Willie and I ended up going to a Taylor Swift concert after Sarah became obsessed with her.
I didn't understand the big deal until I saw her in concert. We got in for free obviously and got front row seats.
Willie chose to become a temporary back up dancer and I laughed.
FIve months had passed and We had gotten close and gained a mundane routine.
Mondays: cause a riot at the beach
Tuesdays: Skatepark
Wednesdays: Visit Sarah
Thursdays: Walk around celebrities houses
Fridays: talk about hot men
Saturdays and Sundays: contemplate if other supernatural beings are real or not
I had learned that Willie is bisexual and I shared my secret crush on Alex.
"He must of been really important to you," He said to me after I spent a 20 minute rant about his hair routine.
"He died in my arms," I whispered softly.
"I'm so sorry," Willie said, pulling me into a hug. I let a single tear fall before regaining my strength and standing up.
"It's okay Wil. I'm better with you here," I smiled at him.
"Come with me tonight. There's someone I want you to meet," WIllie offered.
We had ended up outside this old building.
"I can't die twice but you're sure there's no axe murderer in there?" I asked as we walked into the building.
"Trust me, Caleb is going to love you. Just... try not to stare," WIllie grinned as he threw open the doors into a large room. People were everywhere. It looked like some sort of secret night club.
"Woah," I said as I walked in. Willie followed behind me and he directed me to a tall man in a purple suit.
"Willie, my boy," He greeted Willie then turned to me. "This must be Serenity. Willie talks about you non-stop. I'm Caleb. Caleb Covington." We shook hands and then he walked on, greeting other guests.
I felt my face heat up when Caleb told me Willie talked about me. It made me fuzzy knowing that the guy I like talks about me almost as much as I think about him.
Wait, did I like Willie? I mean, we do spend our days together and really relate to each other.
But a part of me still missed Alex. I couldn't help but love Alex even when he was gone.
-----
After watching an amazing performance, Willie and I headed to the beach. It was dark out but recently, we liked to walk along the shore and reminisce.
"Willie," I whispered as we walked along the beach. "Do you really talk about me as much as Caleb says you do?" I asked him.
He was silent for a while before stopping in the sand. I turned back to look at him.
"I do," He said quietly. "Serenity, you are one of the best things that has happened to me. I talk about you to anyone who will listen because I believe that you deserve to be talked about. And I really like you, more than you know." He confessed.
I stood there quietly. Should I tell him about Alex?
I decided that I would. I can be in love with two people and Willie deserves to know that my heart doesn't fully belong to him.
"Willie," I started. "I really like you too. You're my best friend and I feel on top of the world when I am with you. But there is something you should know."
He looked at me confused. "Go on."
"I really like you a lot. But I also like Alex, the one I was telling you about. I don't know if this will change anything but I know you deserve the truth," I confessed.
Willie's face went blank with no emotion. Then he looked up at me.
"I'm cool with that," Willie said. "I mean, the way you describe Alex, he sounded pretty hot."
I laughed. "Oh, yes he was. He was adorable."
We continued walking along in silence. I built up the courage to lace my fingers into Willie's.
For once in my existence, I finally felt at peace
----
It had been nearly a since Willie and I confessed. We were planning on crashing a pep rally at some random high school today.
I really wanted to have a good time.
Willie and I had been dating for a while now and he wanted this to be some sort of date.
On our last date, he attempted to teach me how to skateboard. Let's just say that I was not a natural at it.
We had gotten to the school before the pep rally and decided to have some fun terrorizing random classrooms.
I enjoyed making kids pencils fall but I also found out I could whisper to humans, if only slightly.
I liked to give them the correct answers on tests and make sure they knew how to speak to their crushes. I was like the high school phantom.
Willie and I walked hand in hand as we entered the gym where students were gathering.
This group of girls dressed like colors of unicorn throw up were huddled in the corner giggling.
We stood in the center of the gym watching people until the lights dimmed and the unicorn poop girls started to sing.
It was an amusing performance to say the least. Willie desperately wanted to dance with them but I restrained him with some cheek kisses and playing with his hair.
"Okay let's give it up for Dirty Candy!" The principal cheered with the students and staff. "Go Tigers!"
Everyone started to get up to leave but I noticed a girl that looked vaguely familiar. I crept up to the stage curiously with Willie behind me.
She started to play the piano but then stopped.
"You got this, Julie!" A voice behind me encouraged her.
I turned around and then paused. If ghosts could have heart attacks, I definitely just had one.
There, standing in all of their glory, was Luke, Reggie, and Alex.
They watched Julie start to sing and a crowd formed around us. I just stared at the three of them.
"SJ, are you alright?" Willie asked, getting freaked out by my stillness.
All I could do was point to the three guys. "My boys," I mumbled.
Then they were onstage with Julie, singing and performing with her. I could feel a tug suddenly within me and I was up on stage with them at the piano.
The crowd went wild when I appeared but I stared at Willie in shock.
I just played the piano and tried to pretend that Alex, Luke and Reggie weren't staring at me.
I had to admit, this song was super catchy.
When the song was done, I poofed back down to Willie.
"What the hell just happened?" He asked me.
I looked to where I was once standing and then back at Willie.
"I don't know. This can't be possible," I said.
We both ran out of there really fast and into the hallway. My heart was racing. Alex was here now, existing with me. Existing with Willie.
"Serenity," Willie shook me, snapping me out of my trance. He looked super worried.
"Will, those were my boys in there. I performed with my boys," I said, still in shock.
I leaned against a wall, sliding down it to sit on the floor. Willie plopped down next to me.
"So what now?" He asked.
"I obviously want to be with them again. They were practically family. And Alex...." My voice trailed off.
"You still love him don't you?" Willie looked at me with pain in his eyes.
"No! Well, yeah. But you're the perfect boyfriend. I love you but Alex, he's..."
"He's your first love. I get it. I mean, he is pretty hot."
"I'm sorry," I mumbled in shame.
"Don't be sorry."
"No. I feel disgusting knowing that I love you but also like Alex. I mean, it's been twenty five years. You'd think I'd be over it by now. I just wish we could be together. Like us and him. Together."
"SJ, it's a normal feeling. It's called polyamory and I'm completely fine with you liking him."
I looked at Willie in shock. "This... this feeling... it's normal?"
"Yeah, I feel that way too," He admitted.
"About who?" I asked.
"Some people I knew before I died. They were my everythings. We did a lot together. When I woke up as a ghost, I tried to track them all down but I was already gone a year. They all moved on," Willie sighed. "But Alex... He's perfect for you... and I think he's cute."
Willie blushed.
"Babe, you like him don't you?" I smiled.
"If that's fine with you then yes. Yes I do," He sighed with relief.
"Can we find him? Can we ask him?" I asked eagerly.
"Ask him what?"
"If he would want to be with us," I got shy.
"Sweetheart, I'm sure he'd say yes. I mean, who wouldn't be crazy about you," Willie pulled me into a hug.
"Can we go look for him now?" I asked willie excitedly.
"Of course darling," He grinned at me and laced his fingers through mine.
Nine days later...
Willie and I have spent the past few days following Julie around the local high school just to see if my boys would pop up to see her.
Of course, we have been out of luck for all of the days.
"SJ, I bet they're gonna be here today," Willie said. "And I bet that Alex'll take one look at us and won't be able to resist our hot bods."
Willie flexed his muscles and made a silly face.
"Shut up you nerd," I giggled.
We walked around holding hands as the students walked into their classrooms and it soon became quiet and empty in the hallway.
It became peaceful, especially knowing what we had faced.
"Luke, what if Julie tries to get rid of us," A familiar voice whispered from around a hallway corner.
"Alex, dude, she's not gonna be able to do that. We're attached to her soul and besides, we're too cool to be left alone," Luke reassured Alex.
-------------
(ATTENTION: so sorry this isn't finished, this book was just forgotten. I have no more motivation to continue so here's a synopsis of the end I was planning on writing.)
Willie and SJ confront Alex and then over the next weeks they all grow close and agree to date each other. This is in place of them nearly re-dying after the orpheum.
SJ turns out to be a very powerful ghost and ends up stopping Trevor/Bobby. Julie and the guys go on a world tour with SJ and Willie popping in as background dancers.
(Sorry again to this person who requested it)
