𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀
𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 – episode two

Phoenix hadn't agreed on anything last night, but that didn't stop Ravi from adding her into a group chat with him and Pippa. Phoenix was ghosting the group as new messages came and went.

It was only until they asked to hang out that got Phoenix interested. Phoenix got into a casual outfit and grabbed her tote bagged which contained her keys and wallet and whatever she might need to touch up her makeup. Phoenix told Becca where she was going even though the older girl could care less.

Phoenix ran down her stairs and made it outside. The walk to the area was silent as her music filled her ears peacefully. She felt at peace for awhile and all her problems faded away.

Once Phoenix made it, it was drizzling rain. "Phoenix you're here!" Pippa shouted as it caught Ravi's attention who was holding an umbrella "Get under here! It's raining" Pippa scowled pulling her close, Ravi held the umbrella a certain way so it covered all three of them.

"So what did i miss?" Phoenix spoke finally as a sigh escaped her lips. "You would know, if you didn't ghost us" Ravi's tone was harsh with a hint of honesty "Been busy" Phoenix lied

"Well, im assuming Ravi told you about our plan on working together, all three of us" Phoenix nodded recalling last night's event "Well i accidentally got to work without you guys and interviewed Emma Hutton" Phoenix's eyes widened at the name

"Emma is a big talker, what did she tell you?" Phoenix was curious as she walked next to Ravi "She barley said anything to me"

"Maybe she could've said more if i was there, me and Emma talked a bit when her and Andie were friends" Phoenix revealed, Ravi didn't say much as he already knew. Ravi knew alot about Phoenix he just pretended he didn't.

"According to Emma, Sal snd Andie never argued" Phoenix scoffed knowingly "Have you tried texting Nat? Nat da Silva"

"Yep, and she hasn't responded"

"Seems like she's like Phoenix, someone who doesn't answer their phone" Phoenix nudged him "Due us a favor and shut up Ravi"

"Me and Ravi, experienced some drama between Sal and Andie" Phoenix revealed as Ravi stiffened beside her. "Pretty sure you Dad hated Sal"

"It wasn't necessarily hatred, it's complicated, my dad just thought Sal wasn't right for Andie. And that Andie should go with someone like Max" This was the first time Phoenix had revealed this openly "Can you guys talk about your siblings?"
Ravi was the first to talk.

"Andie's the one who disappeared but her face is everywhere, Sal's is nowhere" Phoenix felt bad and knew she couldn't be there anymore "I have to go" She announced "It's raining" Pippa warned but Phoenix had already walked away as her clothes got drenched in rain.

Phoenix had been rotting in her bed for the remainder of the day. "Phoenix! There's someone here for you!" Atticus voice shouted throughout the house. Phoenix was confused.
"She's dressed weird and is pulling a bob somehow?" Phoenix heard Atticus judged the girl and she knew who it was.

"Coming! Give me a sec!" Phoenix stumbled as she put on her pajamas pants. Once she made it down the stairs she saw Pip. "What are you doing here?" Phoenix questioned, obviously annoyed. "I know you dont wanna see me, and i know you didn't agree to helping us"

"But Phoenix we need you, please." Pippa seemed like she was begging "Okay, i'll help. Only because im doing this for my sister." It was entirely a lie, but there was another truth she was keeping hidden. "I would hug you right now, but it's too soon right?" Phoenix nodded "Too soon, and i would probably decline if you did"

"Right well let me get to my point, Ravi is waiting for us" Pip smiled nervously looking at Phoenix was any reaction "Okay and?" She didn't know what it had to do with her. "Were a team and team's stick together, come on Lieutenant, we have somewhere to be" Pip grabbed Phoenix's arm and dragged her out the front door not leaving any room for protest.

Phoenix hopped into the passenger seat as Pippa started the car. The ride was silent besides Pip's random rants, as Phoenix only listened and never talked. Phoenix didn't enjoy talking much, there wasn't much to talk about. Everyone assumed they knew everything about her so she just allowed it.

Pip drove into a parking as Ravi was already sitting down. He turned to look at them, and a look of surprised filled his face as he realized Pip had managed to drag Phoenix along to do things right a second time.

The girls got out of the car and approached Ravi. "Before this dick says anything, im not gonna run off again like earlier" Ravi bit back a laugh as she insulted her "Touché Lieutenant." Ravi stated "So Sarge what had happened?" Ravi asked Pip as they all sat down on the floor.

"I talked to Nat today, it was intriguing" Pip started playing a voice recording on her phone. "Here listen" Nat's recording started playing "Nat is like that, she tries to scare people but it dosent work"

"She got in the car with the guy from the party" Ravi took note and Phoenix was confused. "What party? I thought you guys caught me all up"

"I went to a party and interviewed Max Hastings" Shivers ran down Phoenix's arms as she heard the name "What did he say?"

"Nothing too important." Ravi bit back as Phoenix rolled her eyes in annoyance. Pip nudged Ravi telling him to quit it. "It's not significant, Phoenix dont worry"

"Do you guys know if Nat and Emma are still in touch?" Ravi asked "Nope, everyone cut ties after Andie" Phoenix recalled when they stopped checking up on her.

"Plus Emma moved to the city" Pippa added "Give me her number" Ravi said out of the blue "Ravi were trying to solve a case here, not trying to find you a hook up, stop trying to get your dick wet" Phoenix snapped as Ravi gave her a look.

"Im trying to make a trap, and for you information ive gotten too many hook updates lined up that i dont need another" Ravi took the phone from Pip and started typing

"Your invisible hookups?" Phoenix laughed "Geez, guess after all these years the lying never left you." Phoenix whispered under her breath, Ravi ignored her insults and continued with his plan on pretending to be Nat while texting Emma.
