Peace was a weird concept. The real definition of peace is freedom from disturbance. Which is why it was so weird for Madison; that word freedom. It was as if peace was a right that everyone had. But a right isn't something that someone can take away easily. However, with peace, it only takes a split second for it to be stripped away from someone, and that's why Madison found it so weird.

After everything that had happened to her, she felt some type of feeling. She thought it was peace. That's why she looked up the definition of the word, but when she read it to herself it gave her a weird feeling. It didn't seem like a right that she had earned. And for her there was a disturbance.

It wasn't a major one, nor was it a bad one. This disturbance was one within Madison. Sure she felt happy and safe. After all, many months had passed and she was fully back to health, and she was having the time of her life.

Yet there was something in her heart that felt off. Madison didn't feel it all the time. It was only when she was with Peter, or when she thought of him. Something in her heart would start to pull at her, and her head would get a buzzing feeling. For months Madison tried to figure out why her best friend had this affect on her. It was as if she was missing a major piece of a puzzle.

Madison had spent a great deal of time with Peter. He had been with her almost every single day since she had gotten out of the hospital all those months ago. Madison would tell him over and over again that he didn't need to do that. But every time he would reply with a simple statement. "I just don't want there to be a moment we missed incase anything happens."

That statement would always make her smile like a little child on Christmas. Madison had no clue why, but it always warmed her heart. Peter and Madison had grown even closer than they were before she went missing. But, even though she felt her best when she was with Peter, there was still something that felt off. It wasn't him; Madison knew that it was her.

May had also became a more important figure in Madison's life. The girl would always see her whenever she went over to Peter's house. They would always try to cook a meal, but then the three of them would just end up going out to eat. By now they would think not to cook anymore, but they always did it for fun. It was like Madison and May's thing.

Tony and Pepper also kept close to Madison now. After the whole ordeal with Madison's birth mother, Madison decided that the woman who had tortured her for a month straight wasn't her mother. Pepper was. Pepper was the woman from day one who had helped raise Madison along side Tony. And with the wedding coming closer and closer Madison had spent a lot of her time helping plan the whole thing out. She was to be the Maid of Honor after all.

Many hours were also spent by Madison in the lab with her father. The two worked on dozens of new weapons and suits for themselves as well as Peter and Rhodey. That was their bonding hobby. The two would also spend a lot of sleepless nights drinking hot chocolate and eating cheeseburgers while they talked and laughed with one another. They had always done this, but those types of nights had increased greatly.

Madison also still had moments when she felt like she couldn't breath. When she felt as if she was back in that room and chained to that terrible table. She would feel her heart stop and tears would fall from her eyes. These attacks only lasted a few minutes, but those would be the worst minutes she could image. Most of the time they would be caused by her nightmares that she would have. Rarely would it ever be caused by someone or something during the day. But when that did happen it was the worst. Because she would always feel weak whenever it happened around people. Even when they would tell her it's okay and that she was strong.

But those times hardly happened. Most of the time Madison was smiling and laughing. She had even gotten back into dancing. Madison used to dance all the time with Natasha, but ever since the events that went down during that Civil War, she stopped. Natasha was one of Madison's motherly figures. She had taught Madison how to speak many different languages and how to hide in plain sight, which came useful for Madison since she was an Avenger. However, Madison got back into the art of dancing and practicing her languages on her own time. She figured that it would be a good way to move on from her old family but still remember them.

She still loved all of them with every bit of her heart. But she hadn't seen them in a long while, so it was time for to her move on. There were still times when she would look at old pictures that she had hidden away of the people she had lost. They would always make her smile instead of cry now.

Healing was a big part in Madison's life now. Everyday she was healing more and more. Madison embraced her new power that she gained and learned how to use it well. She made the decision that it was apart of her now and she was going to use it for the greater good. Madison also became stronger with her other powers.

It was a process for Madison at first, but now it was like second nature to her. Sure, Madison had scars both mentally and physically, yet she was healing from them. On her own and with everyone she loved around her to help. Madison was grateful for everything she had in her life. She was changed after what happened, and she planned on spending every moment she could the way she wanted. It was relieving to her in every way possible; it brought her peace.

But, just as she thought, peace was something that could be taken away in a split second.
