forty, megan
🍶 i never want to remember who i was before you....
𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 forty, megan
her footsteps went back and fourth. they were almost staggered yet she was able to maintain the correct pace. one foot in front of the other.
it was cold in pennsylvania. no denying that.
yet she just kept walking. her headphones dangling as she walked with the beat.
her eyes were laced with the ground as she was almost counting the small pebbles in the cement.
she turned to the left now.
she finally picked her head back up as she opened the door handle to the apartment that belonged to their manger and stepped inside the small lobby before walking up to where she would be.
she lived in the fifth floor.
yet, the little girl could walk up there.
she had gotten stuck in the elevator before. didn't want it to happen again.
the next song now played. she could feel a headache coming into effect soon. it irked her. she couldn't stop in. not even enough ibuprofen in the world could help the damage that happened.
her legs got tired quickly as she walked up the stairs. she made a mental note to herself to work out more, or at least walk more. she shouldn't be winded from three flights of stairs.
then again she would feel exhausted when walking up the school stairs.....
she had made it to megan's floor as she had now to find the door that belonged to the raven headed girl.
her song changed again.
time was moving fast. to fast for her. she wanted to grab the seconds handle and take it back as many years as possible. she knew if she moved the hour key it would only sky rocket back.
the seconds key wouldn't.
the girl turned her head to look at the door now.
apartment 553.
she balled her hand into a fist before she knocked twice. her headache grew more and more. it hurt. she could feel it above her left eye. it was stinging.
she waited a few seconds but still nothing. so she knocked again. she pulled her hand back as she heard noises from the other side of the door before it opened up revealing the raven headed girl.
she opened it and gave jamison look. a look jamison seen way to often. it read " what are you doing here".
" we need to talk" jamison spoke walking past the women and into her apartment.
a annoyed sigh left her mouth before the door could be heard closing behind jamison and locking.
megan's apartment was clean. very clean. which was odd. it was never this clean.
" you cleaned" jamison questioned turning around the look at the girl. " don't sound so suprised" megan told the younger girl walking past her and to the kitchen.
jamison followed.
" well are you going to keep starring at me or talk" megan asked as her back faced jamison's face as she made coffee.
" i'm moving" jamison spoke. the two words caused megan to freeze up a bit before acting un peeved. she didn't want to show jamison how much this bothered her.
she was supposed to be a iron. hard penetrate. but we all know iron rusts. and so is megan.
" i'm moving to washington on the other side of the country in two months" jamison spoke.
it was december 2nd.
she had two months left.
only two.
" are you going to say anything" jamison asked the women. megan finally turned around.
" you're going to have to find a new manger while your out there" megan told the girl walking past her and to the living room with her coffee cup. jamison stood there astounding before turning around and following her.
" that's all you're going to say" jamison asked her. " megan i'm moving, leaving my life here all because my mom is being selfish" jamison spoke walking behind her.
" jamison i doubt your mom is being selfish" megan spoke. " she's doing what she thinks is best and at the moment it might not seem that way but it is, everyone moves like do you think i'm from this awful state" megan told jamison.
" megan i don't want to leave" jamison spoke. she felt her voice cracking. " but you have to" megan spoke sitting down on the couch. " jamie it will become a point in life where everyone moves on from this place, some mentally and some physically" megan told her.
" you don't get it" jamison spoke looking at her. " jamie for once in your life look at the bigger picture here" megan told her. the younger girl was confused.
" it's a new place filled with thousands of opportunities it's not life you're moving to a new country. you will still see your friends it just won't be as often" megan told her. she was far to calm for this all.
" and you" jamison asked.
" what about me" the older women responded.
" what will i do without you" jamison asked as she recalled the moments she relied on the woman the most. it was weird but megan felt like more of a older sister then alyanna did at most times.
" suffer probably" megan spoke taking a sip of her coffee.
" you will be fine. you still have two months, for these next two months forget about this all. because right now you aren't moving" megan told her.
jamison nodded.
because that's all she could is nod. she couldn't cry. she couldn't scream at the type of her lungs. she couldn't even more her feet if she tried to.
she could only nod.
