12/13/23 — Y/N's Diary

Today I seen Han, he's so pretty and quiet just my type. I wish he spoke though so we can get to know him. I was staring at him all class so I didn't really get anything done, and I was caught by my friends a lot. I don't really care, I'll stare if your really pretty-

I stopped writing as I heard my mother call me. I closed my diary and went downstairs to see what she wanted.

Y/N — "Yes mother?" I replied trying to see what she wanted.

Mom — "Can you be useful for once and make me something to eat?" She said and I nodded and went to go make her a sandwich. I finished and went to hand it to her when she went ballistic.

Mom — "Y/N! I DIDN'T WANT THIS I SAID COOK ME SOMETHING NOT MAKE ME THIS SHIT!" She screamed as she stood up and headed towards me.

I already knew what was about to happen. I received a really hard slap across the face. I began to cry due to how hard she hit me, making her more mad.

Mom — "WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU CRYING??? I DIDN'T EVEN HIT YOU THAT HARD YOU WORTHLESS BITCH! HEAD TO YOUR ROOM NOW!" She screamed at me so loud that I felt my ears burning. I immediately ran to my room and locked myself in as I grabbed my diary and began to write.

Mom just screamed at me... I don't know what.. I did wrong... I tried.. my best..

I stopped writing and noticed the wet spots on the diary. I tried to wipe them away but instead they just smudged everywhere. I sighed and headed towards my bathroom to clean myself up. I looked in the mirror and noticed the huge hand mark on my face. I touched it and moaned in agony. I sat there for a while thinking about what I did to deserve this mark, until I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. I ran back to my bedroom and lied down to imitate me sleeping. My mother then opened the door roughly.

Mom — "That's what I thought, go to sleep you worthless piece of shit. Can't even make a fucking sandwich right.." She mumbled loud enough for me to hear as she left.

I decided since I was already laying down I might aswell fall asleep so that's what I did.

In the morning — 6:22am

I woke up for school at 6:15 and I'm just sitting on the edge of my bed touching my face again. I'm still wondering what I did to deserve this treatment. 'Did I make her sandwich to hot? Did I use the wrong meat? Did I take to long?' I thought as I got up and went to my bathroom. I looked in the mirror and decided that I needed to cover this up. I used concealer and tried to cover it up. I brushed my teeth and took a shower. As I was getting out I went to my drawer and noticed some of my clothing was missing. I suspected my mother as she is the only other person in my house. I just sighed and went through the clothing I did have and found a cute outfit. I decided that I was hungry so after I got ready I went downstairs. I seen my drunk mother sitting on the couch with one of my shirts on, stretching it out. I quietly walked past her as I got me a bowl for my cereal.

Mom — "Who's there?" She said as she awoke from the noise I was making. "Oh it's just you, can't you be any louder?" She said sacarasticly.

Y/N — "Sorry mother. I was trying my best I apologize." I responded hoping she wouldn't slap me again.

Mom — "After you eat, get the fuck out. I'm tired of hearing this noise every morning!" She responded sternly. I did as she said and soon the bus came to pick me up.

AT SCHOOL (HANS CLASS)

I walked into the class my crush is in to see him sitting quietly alone. He's so cute and pretty, I wish I had the courage to speak to him. I sat down at my usual seat near my friend, Lia, and we started talking.

Y/N — "Hey Lia, how are you today?"
I asked her faking a smile.

Lia — "I'm doing well, what about you?" She asked me.

Y/N — "I'm doing so good right now. I can't wait until lunch though, a girl is hungry!" I said jolly. I began to look at Han again. I noticed that he is wearing glasses which makes him even cuter. Lia noticed this and decided to comment on it.

Lia — "Awww, someone has a crush." She whispered to me as I blush.

Y/N — "I do not!" I responded defending myself. Deep down inside, I knew I did.

Lia — "Why don't you talk to him? I'm pretty sure he's single." She told me giving me hope.

Y/N — "I want to but, I just don't know how to." I told her. I went to look at him again when I made eye contact with her making me turn away and blush.

Lia — "Y'all would be so cute." She commented as she went back to working.

I decided that I would talk to him today and luck was in my favor as we had a project to do, and we needed three people. I looked over at Lia and got up to ask if he wanted to partner with us.

Y/N — "Hi-i." I said as he looked up at me.

Han — "Hello." He responded making eye contact with me. I was lost for words for a moment until I remembered what I came here for.

Y/N — "I wanted-d to see if you-u wanted to partner with me and my friend?" I asked him still stuttering.

Han — "Sure. Do you have a phone number?" He asked me and I gave him mine and Lia's.

He told me thank you and wanted to meet up at the library after school. I knew I could but I would risk my mother being upset at me, she's upset everyday so I didn't really care. I went back to my seat and told Lia who started screaming in excitement.

Lia — "OH MY GOODNESS! MY SHIP IS ABOUT TO SAIL!!"

Y/N — "Calm down, people are staring." I told her as the bell rang and we were let out for lunch.

TIME SKIP AFTER SCHOOL (LIBRARY)

I was heading to the library alone as Lia had work. I walked through the double doors and checked in. I searched for Han until I found him with his nose stuck in a book.

Y/N — "Hey..Han." I said in a soft tone only he could hear. He looked up and motioned me to sit down next to him.

Han — "Hey Y/N, you look very pretty today. I wanted to tell you that earlier but Lia was there." He told me as I blushed.

I mouthed "Thank you" as we began to discuss our project. We were having a good discussion until suddenly he stopped talking and just stared at me. He soon pushed back my hair and touched my cheek, the side where my mom slapped me.

Han — "What happened Y/N?" He said as he began caressing my cheek.

I decided to tell him about my mother which made him upset. "Why would she do this to you?" "You don't deserve this." He commented. I turned to look at him making eye contact with him. He looked so much prettier up close. We stared at each other for a while, just analyzing each other's facial features. He broke eye contact as he went and grabbed my hand and kissed it. I was shocked on why he did it until he explained it.

Han — "I think your insanely beautiful Y/N. Your so beautiful just like an angel. I don't know you well but I can tell your a nice person. I wanted to ask you if you'd like to hang out sometimes with me, alone." He told me as I blushed. I was very flattered that he was interested in me.

Y/N — "Thank you Han, I feel the same way. I'd love to get to know you better." I responded smiling and he began to smile too.

TIME SKIP (ALMOST HOME)

After the library I walked home and I was almost there until I heard screaming and shouting from inside. I knew it was my mother but I didn't know why exactly. I opened the door to hear her screaming even louder.

Mom — "WHERE WERE YOU?? WHO ALLOWED YOU TO COME HOME LATE?? UGHH WHY DID I EVER GIVE BIRTH TO A PIECE OF SHIT LIKE YOU!" She screamed as she throws a bottle at me. I dodged it and guessed that she was drunk and went to my room. I put my backpack down and opened my diary. I began to write.

12/14/23

Today I actually met Han. He was pretty nice and even called me pretty. He found out my mom hit me and was very upset. He wanted to get to know me better. I can't wait until we start dating. I think love this boy. :)

I smiled writing that last part as I put my diary up and laid down on my bed. Today was exhausting, but it was worth it. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings me.
