It was a bright sunday morning, I had church this day. I was very excited to go to see my friend Hanni. Hanni and I have been friends for years, she recently came out as bisexual and had a hard time telling her parents. It was quite shocking considering how strict her household is on same-sex relationships.

Danielle — "Good morning world, good morning Jinny." I say tiredly as I get up to go rub her. She barks loudly and I jump back.

Danielle — "Be quiet." I tell her I put my index finger over my mouth. "Everybody is probably still asleep."

I slowly get up and turn towards my bathroom. I walk on my tippy toes to avoid making the floor creak, Jinny follows directly behind me.

Danielle — "Jinny go away for a minute!" I shout at her as she runs to hide under my desk. I close the bathroom door and lock it.

Danielle — "That dog is so annoying sometimes."

I proceed to do my seven-step skincare making my skin glow and dewy looking. I also shower as well using the best products from luxury brands. I finish my skincare and start on my hair care. While doing this I receive a call from Hanni.

Danielle — "Hello?" I asked in confusion.

Hanni — "Yeaahhh, wspp." She replies drunkly. 'She's drunk again?' I ask in my head.

Danielle — "Hanni, why are you drunk?" I asked her sternly. I hate when she does this, it's quite annoying.

Hanni — "Becauseeee, I'm bored you know. I live aloneeee. Come overrr." She replies.

Danielle — "Only because I care, I will come over." I reply ending it with a sigh. I hang up on her and put on my clothes. 'This girl is always drunk, maybe she needs someone.'

I finish putting on my clothes and head downstairs where my sister, Olivia.

Danielle — "Good morning Olivia!" I greet her in a happy tone.

Olivia — "Morning dani! Where are you rushing to?" She says as she gets up and walks over to me.

Danielle — "Going to go see Hanni, she's drinking again."

Olivia — "Yeah, it's wayyy to early to be drunk.
I hope she's okay."

Danielle — "I hope so too, see you later." I assure her and kiss her forehead.

Olivia — "I love you dani!"

Danielle — "I love you too livie!" I replied as I went outside. I began to walk to her house, it's only five minutes away. Hanni lives in Seoul right now, and our apartments are close in walking distance.

I begin to text Hanni.

'She wants to go to church drunk?' I asked myself. Hopefully she doesn't do anything weird. I was walking down the street when I felt someone tap my shoulder.

Hanni — "Hi danibae!" She smiles cheerfully as she hugs me.

Danielle — "Woah hanni, chill! You scared me!" I say as I hug her back.

Hanni — "Ready for church?" She asks me and I nod.

Danielle — "You seem sober now." I tell her.

Hanni — "Yeah, Im not sober. But I did drink lots of water before I came so maybe that's why!" She exclaimed.

Danielle — "Yeah, yeah. Let's start going before we are late!"

We head to church but all I can think about is the fact she called me "Danibae". What does that mean.. I soon forgot about my thoughts once we reached the church.

Danielle — "Hanni, aren't you banned from this church?" I ask her in confusion.

Hanni — "Well, yes. But that doesn't mean we can't sneak in." She says giggling.

We step into the church and sit in the back row. Hanni holds my hand and I began to get butterflies. 'Do I like hanni?' 'Why do I feel this way?' I ask myself in my head. The preacher begins to preach.

??? — "May we all stand in god's favor! Let's all praise him and shall he forgive us for our sins."

Hanni looks at me and smiles.

Hanni — "I hope he'll forgive me for mine." She whispers in my ear.

Danielle — "For liking the same sex?" — I ask her.

She nods and we listen to the preacher for hours on end until first service is over.

Hanni — "I enjoyed church today Dani!" She says as she grabs my hand. "But I have something to tell you." She leans closer and whispers "I like you."

Danielle — "Your really confessing your love for at church your banned at??" I ask her and she nods.

Hanni — "Yes, why not?!" She tells me as I smile.

Danielle — "Im starting to like you too."

She kisses me on the cheek and I overhear someone.

??? (1) — "Ew lesbians!"

??? (2) — "Kissing in a church is horrible!"

I roll my eyes and grab Hanni's hand. I had fun today, and that is all that matters.
