You weren't completely useless. You got into UA for a reason. Sure, your quirk was a little less... ferocious as the others, and you didn't score as high as Bakugo or Todoroki on anything other than speed, but you were intelligent and could think on your feet. That's what Aizawa told you, anyway. Either way, as class 1-A got more friendly with each other, everyone started to care about each other, and that meant forming bonds. You were quick friends with Jiro and Denki, and they could both protect you a bit more in stressful situations. Unfortunately, the rest of the class looked at you like someone who could not protect themself at all, which wasn't true. The one person who made it his personal mission to ensure your safety (which you didn't need) was Todoroki. At first, it kind of bothered you. How he would swoop in at every chance, take your battles, and look hot while doing it. But, after a while, you just accepted it. He liked being a knight in shining armor, and you liked staring at him while he fought for your honor. It was a win-win.
