- Connor, get your ass out of this fucking bathroom ! shouts Max, knocking on the door. 

it's 7 : 50 pm in london and Max and Kit are supposed to be at Kizzy's on 8 pm to just chill with the others. Max's dressed with a wide jean, a white crop top and an a blue university jacket, and she's waiting to go in the bathroom, but Kit is inside for half an hour. when he finally comes out, he's wearing a black jean with his inseparable white shirt and a green denim jacket. his hair is dishevelled, as usual. 

- what ?  asks the boy. 

- nothing, says Max hurriedly. 

she enters  the bathroom to brush her hair and apply a little foundation and mascara. when she comes back into the living room, Kit's on his phone, ready to go. he raises his head and he sees Max, he smiles. 

- you look good. 

- thanks. you too. 

they smile to each other for a few seconds, before the girl asks : 

- you don't have any sneakers, do you ? because i only have my Converses and they don't really fit with my outfit. 

Kit laughs and she throws a pillow at him. 

- stop laughing everytime ! 

he stands up to look into his wardrobe to give her a pair of red Air Jordan. 

- are they okay ? do they fit ? 

- that's perfect, anwers Max. thank you. 

- you're welcome. 

they leave 5 minutes after and walk a bit to finally arrive at Kizzy's ten minutes late. everyone's already here. it's Yasmin who opens the door and litteraly scream and and cuddles Max so hard she can't breathe. 

- Yaz...

behind her, she hears Kit laughs. 

- god i missed you so so so so so much ! how are you ? 

- i'm good, but i'd be better if i could breathe. 

- oh yeah, sorry, laughs the girl. 

she was about to say something about Yasmin's outfit when Will apears from the kitchen with a cigarette in hand. when he sees his bestfriend, he runs to take her in his arms and kiss her forehead. 

- Will...

- how are you Max ? i'm so happy to see you !

- me too, laughs the girl. 

- you look beautiful, says him by turning her on herself. she looks pretty, huh ? 

- yeah, laughs Kit, next to Will. yes, she's pretty. 

Max sticks her tongue out at him and she goes in the kitchen to say hi to Joe and Corinna who are sit on the table, drinking beers. then she hugs Kizzy for a few minutes and she sits with them on the sofa. They propose her a drink but she refuses. 

- Kit ! shouts Kizzy. if you want, there's beer in the fridge. 

the girl doesn't hear the boy answering but Kizzy asks her with a wink : 

- and so... are you happy at Kit's ? 

- my goooood i can't with you, says Max tilting her head back. yes, it's... funny ? 

- funny ? 

- no it's weird, Kizzy. it's so fucking weird to just sleep on his sofa while he's propably naked in his be... anyway, that's cool. i mean, we have fun, we laugh and we talk a lot. 

- that's so funny to see how much you like him. 

- shut up, whispers Max. 

she talks with Kizzy for 10 minutes, and, hurriedly, the lighs turn off. she feels two hands on her eyes and laughs : 

- Bash, i know it's you. 

- how do you do that ? asks Sebastian, removing his hands. 

- because i know you, smiles the girl. 

they spend two hours at Kizzy's, and, at 22 pm, Joe proposes to go out to walk. outside, it's really cold and Max is shivering. 

- oh, says Kit who's walking next to her. i... my jacket is probably not warm enough, and you already have one...

- Kit. that's okay, i didn't ask you to gave me your jacket. 

- what ? asks Will, who is behind them. are you cold ? 

- yes, smiles Max, but that's not...

too late, she already ha Will's big coat on her shoulders. 

- thanks. 

- so, starts Will putting his arm around her shoulders, Maxine Davis. is there anything new in your life ? 

- no. don't worry, your still my bestfriend. no one's stupid enough to replace you.  

she watches the boy laugh and continues to talk with him, pretending not to see Kit's sad look. 

a long chapter today haha but tooooo cute
