Yaku knew he had a crush on you in first year's biology, right after you sat next to him and introduced yourself with the most beautiful smile. But, honestly he never had any plans of telling you. Yaku simply told himself you were way out of his league and accepted he could never be with you. That didn't stop his little heart from liking you though, especially as the years went on. You were very close friends, best friends by second year, he would say. You always got asked out, or given letters and notes of proclaimed love, but you never returned these affections. Yaku found it interesting sometimes, that even his best friends didn't interest you. Even Kuroo didn't stand a chance, but he asked you out constantly. One day, during practice, Yaku - much like the rest of the team - was listening to the captain try his hand again. He found himself scowling and drinking water to force himself not to say anything. But, what he heard next was something he wasn't expecting.
