AURORA WOULD'VE PREFERRED WILL'S screaming to the silence that had encased the hospital as the hospital staff threw open the doors. They rushed Will through winding halls before the staff loaded him on a hospital bed before shoving wires into his skin.

Mrs. Byers was crying as she sobbed over her boy, and Mike still had Aurora cradled to his chest. Will jolted up as the staff began to cut off the PJs he had been wearing, the boy screaming his throat raw. They couldn't stop him, so they just quickly checked his body for injuries, and Aurora realized she didn't enjoy his screams either.

It was blurry, Aurora couldn't remember when Will had gone quiet again, and when his heart monitor slowed to a regular pulse. Mike had led her out of the room, and into a chair by the door. She was by the door to Wills room, listening to the heart monitor.

"I could've done something," Aurora mumbled to Mike, "I could've helped him, I...I just froze up."

Mike squeezed her hand, and turned to face the girl. "No, Rory, you did everything you could've. You helped him in the field, and he's okay now."

Aurora couldn't cry anymore, she had cried for almost a straight hour and it seemed like she had just...run out of tears.

"Aurora," Mike grabbed her face in his hands, forcing them to meet eye to eye, "I promise you this, Will is okay. You helped him, he is alive because of you."

She only nodded slightly, before Bob peaked his head out the door, "Wills awake."

Mike nodded and stood up, holding his hand out for the girl, "Come on, princess. Let's go see our best friend."

Aurora let a small smile slip to her lips as she stood up, grabbing the boys hand as she followed the boy into Wills hospital room. The smile dropped when she saw Will connected to all of the wires.

Will glanced at the two kids that entered the room, a flash of confusion running across his face. Auroras stomach formed a bottomless pit.

"Hey Will," Aurora greeted, "I thought we promised each other no more dying for at least three years?"

"Sorry," his voice was soft as he tried to remember to last conversation they had with each other in a hospital, "Aurora."

He spoke her name like he was slightly confused, as if it was a foreign word that he hadn't said before. Then Will pointed behind Mrs. Byers - towards Bob - in confusion, "who's that?"

"What?" Bob questioned, "it's me, big guy? It's Bob." He tried to reach for Wills hand, only to have him flinch away.

"Are you a, uh, doctor?" Will questioned, while Aurora and Mike glanced at each other in worry.

"No," Bob shook his hand, sadness lacing his voice, "no. It's just me. Just...just Bob."

Mike stood at his side - still holding Auroras hand tightly, "I'm glad you're okay. Like really glad. I don't know what I would do without you."

Will nodded as a doctor knocked softly on the now open door, "Hey Will."

The next few minutes had the doctors questioning Will about what he did remember, and every time Will couldn't answer something, Mikes grip on Auroras hand tightened.

"How about this guy here?" Doctor Owen's pointed at Mike. "Do you know who that is?"

"That's...my friend. Mike," Will spoke slowly.

"And next to him?"

"That's Aurora. Rory." Will nodded and Aurora felt the pit in her stomach close up, slightly.

"What about me kid?" Hopper questioned, and Aurora sent him a soft glare, "you remember me?" Will shook his head slowly, "They tell me you helped save me last night. You remember that?"

Another head shake.

"Do you remember anything about last night?" Doctor Owen's questioned Will, "about what happened?"

"I remember they hurt me," Will spoke, before pointing at Aurora, "and she helped me."

Doctor Owen's glanced at Aurora, "how did she help you?"

"She...she put me to sleep. Where he can't get me. She shouldn't done that, it upset him. Just like the soldiers did."

Doctor Owen's glanced at Aurora, before pulling a picture off of his clipboard, "you said, 'upset him.' Is that him?" Will turned to the man slowly, before nodding his head at the photo of the shadow monster he had drawn. "Okay, okay I want to try something. it's gonna seem a little odd first, but I think it's really going to help us understand what's going on. Is that okay?"

Will nodded, "okay."

Doctor Owen's motioned behind them, and another doctor wheeled something into the room. Auroras stomach turned, "I've gotta go."

She hurried out of the room, and turned the corner to throw up into a trash can. She didn't have much in her stomach, so she just heaved up whatever she could. Not wanting to wipe her mouth in her sleeve, she straightened her back and walked towards the right.

Before running straight into a wall, "watch it, little girl. Wait a minute, what are you doing out here?"

He grabbed her arm, "I've got to go to the bathroom," Aurora grinned, "lady problems?"

The man dropped her arm in disgust, "Um okay, to your right."

Aurora grinned and made a right turn, finding the bathroom and washing her face and gargling a bit of water. She sighed into the mirror before leaving the bathroom, to head back to Wills room.

But, before she made it back, she noticed a small room with a few men inside - several screen monitors surrounding them - the door slightly ajar.

"Copy that," One man spoke, frantically typing something onto his computer as the other flipped several switches.

"We're sending the troops down now," The other man spoke through his earpiece.

Aurora scrunched her eyebrows in confusion, what was going on here. She knew that Hawkins Lab had been taken over by someone, but who exactly? The closer she stepped to the room, the more footage she saw. Scanning the monitors, she came across one of the tunnels.

Before she could see anything else, a hand grasped Auroras shoulder, turning her around. It was a tall man - a soldier. He narrowed his eyes at Aurora as he questioned her, "What are you doing?"

"I...uh..." Aurora stuttered, trying to search for an explanation.

"Get her back with the others!" The man ordered to another - this one grabbing her and bringing her back to the room. This time, the doors behind her locked from the other side, two soldiers blocking the entry. Pursing her lips, Aurora retraced her steps to Wills' room.

"Hey, what's going on?" Aurora spoke, noticing the expressions on everyone's face.

Mike stood, pulling the girl over to the corner of the room and spoke quietly, "Will saw the shadow monsters most vulnerable point. They are sending troops down there now to burn it."

"And Hopper?" Aurora questioned in a panic. "Please don't tell me he went down there too."

"No," Mike assured. "He's in the control room."

"Wait, so the soldiers are already down there?" Aurora picked at her nails, "the tunnels?"

"Yeah," Mike answered, turning back to Will. "Will saw them."

The two returned to the boy, taking a seat beside the hospital bed he laid on. Running a rough hand through her hair, Aurora paused in thought.

Will's lips then started to quiver. Noticing this, Auroras heart rate seemed to increase. Something was off, something about the whole thing seemed too...easy.

After a moment, Will trembled as a soft cry came out, "I'm sorry."

"What?" Mrs. Byers asked, turning to Will and reaching out to him. "What do you mean, sweetie?"

Will's breaths quickened as he cried, "He made me do it."

Mike grabbed Auroras hand again, as she furrowed her eyebrows trying to decode what Will was saying. After a second, Aurora inhaled sharply, her lips falling apart.

"Who?" Mrs. Byers cried, lightly shaking the boy. "Who made you do what?"

"I told you," Will spoke. "They upset him. They shouldn't have done that. They shouldn't have upset him."

Mike turned to Aurora, the same expression flashing on his face as the two both shouted in unison, "The spy!"

They both shot up from their seats, running over to the guarded doors - desperately trying to get through.

"Woah!" The guard yelled, shoving the two kids away from the door.

"We need to get through!" Mike shouted, forcefully trying to push the guards away.

"You don't know what's going to happen," Aurora shouted, "it's a trap!"

"Everything is fine," The guard argued. "It's under control."

"It's a trap!" Mike shouted repeatedly, Bob running over and hugging his arms back - preventing him from pushing any more. "It's a trap!"

As the alarms started to sound, Aurora froze, glancing between the guard and Mike. She had tears in her eyes, her heart was racing but she had a sort of iciness in her glare she shot at the guard. Then she turned towards Mike, "we need to run."
