     "So.. Scooter Grubbs had that Grady White you guys found? How the fuck did he get that.. he's about as much as a marina rat as they come." River said to John B and JJ as they walk to Lana Grubbs house. But.. that soon went south after they heard things crashing in the house.

     JJ pulled River into him, trying to keep them both hidden for the time being. But, it reminded her of something.

     Those fucking boys in juvie.. no, no, she wasn't back there. She wasn't there.. she's home, right? Right?!

     "Riv? Hey, what's going on, you're panicking?" JJ said, quickly taking his arms away from her shoulders. "No, no, no.. not again, please." She pleaded quietly, covering her hands with her head as she sat on the ground.

     "John B, go talk to Lana. I'll be there in a bit." JJ said, the blonde kneeling beside River as John B went inside. "Babygirl? Hey, it's just me.. it's JJ, okay? You're okay, I promise.. I'm not gonna let anyone hurt you." He said, doing his best to soothe her racing heart as he held his hand out to her, River taking it without any hesitation.

     Once River had finally calmed down, JJ spoke up. ".. Did I trigger you by wrapping my arms around you? I-i seriously didn't know that would trigger any bad memories, I'm so sorry—" He started before River cut him off. "Hey, hey.. don't beat yourself up over it, okay? And.. yeah, it was a trigger. There's.. a lot you don't know about my time in juvie." She said as JJ sat down next to her.

     "Well.. you don't have to talk about it right now, if you're not ready to. Just.. know I'm always here for you, okay?" JJ said. River nodded before speaking up again. "It's.. a pretty morbid story, just warning you. When I was in juvie.. one day, I was in the shower rooms, wanting to get washed up before dinner. And.. there was three boys. They broke off the door handle and barged into the shower I was in. And.. that night, I lost my innocence. It wasn't willingly.. I kept c-crying and trying to fight back, but.. i-it was all in vain. All three of those boys took advantage of me. I never said a word about it.. I was too scared of what would happen if I did."

     JJ's expression fell as River explained. He wasn't expecting something that dark... but he was absolutely heartbroken. Some selfish boys put his girl through absolute hell. "Riv, I—.. I'm so sorry you went through that. Nobody deserves that.." He mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper. He then held his arms out, offering the smaller girl a hug. And once she accepted it, the girl practically melted into his embrace. She felt.. safe. Like nothing could hurt her, as long as she's with him.
