❝ 𝐎𝐡, 𝐈'𝐦 𝐬𝐨 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞! ❞ 

*(𝐘/𝐧) 𝐩𝐨𝐯*

To think that skateboarding would change my life so much, it's just a board with two wheels on each opposite end, what's so special about something like that? This is what I originally thought, but when I finally spent more time riding it, I felt more relaxed, more free. As if all my worries slipped away. The way that the vibrations that came from the wheels riding across the black concrete made me know that I could hurt myself right now but I could not if I wanted to, that is that joy of skateboarding. You know you have a say in where you go and in what direction. 

Of course, that's all false when you fall. Especially when you scratch yourself. Though, you must always remember, that someone never learned anything by not taking risks. 

I was sitting on top of a hill that overlooked the whole city, near the abandoned mine. People said that it was haunted by ghosts, but I never believed that. Why would people wish to stay in this hell-hole after they've died? I wouldn't.

Sighing, I looked down at my slightly scratched-up skateboard and saw all the silly stickers that Shindo bought for me, said that it matched my personality. I never knew what he meant by that, people always said that my personality was cold and serious, but I think now, after two weeks of skating, that my personality changes.

Lifting my hand I looked at my wrist that was covered by the black wristwatch that I had and saw the time that it read, '23:33', or, 11:33 a.m..

'I guess I have to head back in an hour or two. No one is home, only my butler, but that dude already knows that I like staying out late skating, so I guess I will be fine.' I thought to myself and smirked. Putting on my black mask I pulled up my hoodie and grasped my skateboard under my arm and began to walk down the hill. 

Why am I wearing a small disguise? Well, my family customers are everywhere, and so one of them might see me and rat me out to either my mother or father, but both will result in the same thing. 

Slightly shivering I began to walk quickly down the hill, but I was caught between two sides. One was left, on which I took earlier, and one was the right. The reason was because of the silly rumor, but I'm no scaredy-cat. So, I walked down the right path closest to the abandoned mine. 

Clutching my skateboard tighter towards me I began to walk more hastily. My heartbeat quickening. 

"Yes, go Shadow!" Hearing the excited yell I stopped walking and turned my head around to face the metal fence. 'Shadow? Wait, there are people in there? I wonder...' Glancing around to find a place where I could see what was going on behind the metal fence my ears began to pick up more yelling and shouting.

'How come I never noticed this before?' I questioned myself. Finally, I found a big enough tree to be able to see over it. Putting my skateboard on a strap that was on my back I began to climb up the tall tree. The strap was a gift from Shindo. 

Grunting, I finally got to the top, and what I saw was the most beautiful thing out there. It was a skating paradise. People were skating everywhere, smiles were on their faces. Lights were a soft white as they aluminated the people below, the stars twinkling as if they were cheering for their passion. 

"A place for passion..." I whispered to myself in complete awe. "Hey! You up there!" Quickly snapping my head down I began to panic, I was caught by two teenagers, one with red hair and honey-colored eyes, and the other one with bright blue hair and bright blue eyes. 

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to know about this place, I was just a bit curious and-" I stumbled out my words one after the other, but was interrupted by the energetic red-head. "Hey, I didn't mean to scare you. You wanna go in with us, (Y/n)?" The red-head asked me, his smile bright. 

"How... how do you know my name?" I questioned him, sure he looked familiar, but I don't think I met him before. The redhead pouted, "We met before, remember? Your skateboard was going down the road and I caught it for you." The redhead informed me, but I don't think I remember him all that well. 

Ten seconds passed by of me trying to remember him, and suddenly the image of him holding my skateboard came to mind. "Oh, yeah! I remember now, you were that one kid, Reki, was it?" I questioned him. He nodded his head happily at me, "Yep! Wanna come with?" Reki asked me. 

I glanced over towards the blue-haired teen and he nodded reassuring me that I was not interrupting. Looking back over towards the other teen I slowly nodded my head and began to climb down. Once my feet reached the ground Reki grasped my hand into his own warm one and pulled me towards them as they put me on their motorcycle, and somehow, I fit in. 

"We have to hurry though, I have a package to deliver." Reki informed me, his face became slightly panicked. I nodded, "Don't worry, I believe we'll make it." I reassure him and gave him a small smile. He blushed and nodded his head slowly before looking away from me and back to the front. 

We arrived at the gate as two guards stopped us, and Reki pulled out a small pin that had a very creative S on it. The guard nodded and let us in as the gates opened. Hurrying inside we began to go even faster. 

"Say, what's that guy's name?" I asked Reki, squinting my eyes as I tried to adjust to the bright lights that were quickly passing me. Reki looked back at me and smiled, "This snow guy over here is Langa Hasegawa!" He introduced his friend and looked back to the passing skateboarders. 

"You can just call me by my first name." Langa informed me, though his gaze never met mine. I nodded my head as the motorcycle stopped. Getting off of the motorcycle I waved goodbye to them as they did to me, and they zoomed off. 

I pulled off my hoodie and mask and looked around the lively place. I smiled happily. "Finally, a place where I belong." I giggled. Pulling out my skateboard I hopped on it and pushed my left leg two times and put back my left leg on the board as I went down the crowd of people. 

'This... this just feels so right.' I smiled widely as I whooped and began to go faster, but stopped when I got to a scene where Reki was being yelled at by an ugly toad. 

"What am I supposed to do with this, huh? Tell me what you did with my frikkin board!" I man yelled at him, his face scrunched up in frustration as he held up the chipped board. Reki gasped in surprise as his face paled. "How you gonna fix this, dude?" The girl that was holding on to the angry male's right arm asked him, her face also angry. 

I gulped, 'There's nothing that I can do to help him, I don't even know how things work around here.' 

"I know you don't expect me to skate on this jacked-up piece of crap!" The man, no, the little boy yelled as he harshly threw the skateboard on the ground. "You take that back!" I yelled, clenching my fists tightly. 'To throw a precious skateboard, no matter how ruined it is, should never be done!'

The toad turned around towards me and scoffed, "What did you just say to me, little kid?" He asked me, his anger now being directed towards me. "You heard me, I said take that back!" I yelled at him, my heart beating faster. 

He walked towards me as an angry smirk crossed his disgusting features. "Oh, now you gonna get it." The man growled. "Stop! I'll get you a new one, just leave him alone!" Reki exclaimed, the man turned around towards him, his anger beginning to skyrocket. 

"There's no way you'll make it in time." Turning around I saw a man with white face paint and green paint that looked like small explosions going around his eyes, with purple lipstick on and ginger hair. "You know the race starts at midnight."  The mysterious man commented, a hungry look in his eyes. 

I glanced down at the board that was already on the ground and picked it up. "Slay it for us, Shadow!" Someone yelled out, further fueling his ego. "The winner of tonight's match gets to give the loser any tattoo he would like." Shadow announced, walking towards the couple. 

'So, this is Shadow.' I smirked. "You've got your girl's name inked on you, so I'll add something to it," Shadow suddenly got up all on her face as she let out a surprised squeak. "Lil Dumpster Slut!" Shadow showed her his tongue and pulled away from her face and laughed as everyone else began to cheer louder. 

"Now, I don't think that is a way to talk to a lady." I commented, my gaze sharp on Shadow. Everyone looked over towards me and began to snicker. "It's that kid from earlier, sure got some guts." The boy behind me whispered to the guy on his left, but I stayed quiet. People who underestimate others aren't worth my time.

"You again?!" The toad exclaimed. I smirked, "How about, I fight this one. To show you that all and every skateboard is rideable, but you just got to have the attitude for it." Walking up closer towards the three I pointed the beat-up skateboard in Shadow's direction. "I'll fight you in his place, my boy Reki over there." I announced and put the board back at my side. 

Shadow blinked once as everyone got quiet, but he suddenly began to laugh hysterically, and soon, everyone else followed along. "You? Please, I'm not gonna fight some noobie!" Shadow cackled, his fat finger pointed at me. 

"Scared?" I questioned him, my mocking gaze now on him. Everyone stopped laughing as Shadow gave me an offended expression. "Fine, I'll fight you, and I'll kill that little nerve that you have, too!" Shadow announced and looked away from me and back to the crowd. 

"Skaters, get into position!" A guard yelled out. I quickly walked over to the starting point as I grasped the tip of my skateboard in my right hand and focused on the journey ahead of me. The light turned red two times, then... it was time. 

Shadow quickly went ahead of me as I stayed behind and watched him go until he was out of sight. People began to whisper to one another in slight confusion as they watched me stay still. 

"Is this kid dumb?" 

"Probably got cold feet, the coward."

Pulling out a pocky box from my hoodie pocket I pulled out a strawberry flavored stick and bit onto the end tip of it and put the tip in my mouth leaving the rest hanging out. "I think this is good enough now." I whispered to myself and put my foot down on the ground and pushed back once, and I was out of everyone's vision. 

Cheering was soon heard as I was already catching up to Shadow at an alarming speed. "The kid really thought that he could beat me, hah!" I heard Shadow laugh at me apparently being a noobie but I quieted him from scaring everyone with his weird laugh by placing a pocky stick in his mouth. 

"Shush, your laugh scares kids." I warned him and faced the front. Pushing my leg down on the floor again I got ahead of him as I heard him growl. Facing ahead I saw that we were nearing a turn. I yawned, "There's a reason why bedtimes exist, people." I mumbled.

Once I was near enough of the corner I flipped my board as it came into contact with the rock bed making a small squeak noise, but I didn't fall, I was still going. Going back to riding with both of the two wheels I saw Shadow passing me. 

'Seems that kinda slowed me down, have to think of better things later since that was just out of pure instinct.' I concluded in my head as I pushed myself two more times, and I was back with Shadow. 

"Hey, Shadow, sorry about worrying you." I apologized to him, but it only made him scoff. "I wanted you to get hurt, stupid." Shadow snapped at me. I smiled, "Fair game." 

Everything after that was just smooth sailing with both of us turning sharp lefts and rights and jumping over blocks of rock. Glancing over at Shadow I saw that he was beginning to sweat, though his eyes never went towards me. 

I looked back up and saw that we were approaching a place with metal-covered walls inside. "I guess this is the last stage, huh?" I mumbled. Once we both entered he went ahead of me, but all that I was busy with was looking around at all of this. 

'This is way different from everything else, expected by being the last stage.' I commented, but I have to admit, it looked pretty good. "Welcome to S! Weren't expecting something like this, were ya, kiddo?" Shadow asked me, but also laughed. I shrugged, "Didn't know what to expect, to be honest, but this..." I drifted off. "This is paradise!" I yelled as I started to go faster. 

'I want to be here for the rest of my life!' I giggled as I finally started to settle down. I have to be serious, but this isn't reality, this is paradise, and I get to be as happy as much as I want!

"Good news! Goals right in front of your eyes! Too bad there's no way out now!" Shadow cackled. I smiled, 'There's always a loophole to something, so there has to be one...' Looking around my eye caught a prop that was sticking out from the restricted ground. 

"Bingo." I said to myself as I got myself ready to make the switch. Pushing my skateboard towards the prop I made it so the only thing that was touching the rusted metal was the middle of the board. Going down the prop I slide off of it as began to fall. Pulling out another pocky I placed it in my mouth as I huffed. 'This better be worth it for wasting my sleep time.'

Landing on another prop I skated down it as I was finally heading for the finish line. Going up the ramp I was about to do down, but unfortunately was distracted by a familiar yell. "(Y/n), watch out!" Turning towards Shadow I saw him throw me some things that seemed like explosions. Flipping my board up I saw as the explosions lit up, but my board was already on top of me. 

Passing the surprised Shadow I continued to go in a circle mid-air. The explosions, and the way that I moved with them, felt so magical, so real. So, this is what Shindo was trying to teach me. I could kiss him right now. 

Landing on the ground I looked back at Shadow and I smiled, "I won, now, what should I give you?" I asked him in a mocking tone, but before I could think more I was suddenly pulled down on the ground by none other than Reki. 

"That was amazing! I swear, I thought I saw the heavens open up and saw you as a god!" Reki exclaimed happily. I sweatdropped, "What-?"

This began my journey to a world with skateboarding and a lot of simping gone wrong, and with two new colors, Gold and Red.
