Thirty more minutes until I had to arrive at the Yagami household. I was not nervous, or excited, I just felt... annoyed, you could say. Why do I have to go to his house and meet his family? Yin-Kun is probably planning something right now, probably something that has to deal with the man following him.

Sighing, I slipped on my blue jeggings and put on an (F/c) sweater. Grabbing my mini backpack I put the straps under my arms and grabbed my phone. Walking out of my room I put my hair in a (H/s) and walked down the stairs. Sitting down on the sofa I leaned my head back and groaned.

"Thirty more minutes... of waiting." I mumbled to myself and sighed. Getting up from the sofa I walked out of the house and locked the door and continued to head towards Yin-Kun's house, which is, as I have said before, right next to mine.

Walking up the steps I knocked on the door and heard footsteps coming. Putting on a smile the door swung open revealing a little girl with a black sweater and brown hair let down. "Hello, do you know if Light's home?" I questioned her. The Sayu quickly blushed and nodded her head, "Yeah... h-he's up in his room preparing for a date with this one girl, but I bet she isn't even that pretty!" Sayu exclaimed in annoyance, puffing out her cheeks in anger.

I chuckled, "I do suppose there are people who can beat my appearance." I saw her face freeze for a second before an embarrassed blush covered her cheeks. "I-I'm sorry! I didn't know that his date was you! You're very pretty miss... hum..." Sayu trailed on, looking up at me hopefully.

"My name is (Y/n) (L/n), yours?" I asked her, already knowing her name, but it wouldn't hurt to be polite. I smiled even wider as I saw her blush intensify by the second. "Sayu Yagami, Miss (Y/n)." Sayu answered, her eyes darting to the ground seemingly shy of me. I smiled, "Hello, Sayu-chan, you can just call me (Y/n)." I greeted her as Sayu-chan immediately brightened up.

"Then you can also call me by my first name, (Y/n)!" Sayu announced happily, a bright smile on her face. "Sayu? Who's at the door?" Looking up towards the stairs I saw Yin-Kun buttoning up his shirt as his attention was on Sayu.

"It's your date, (Y/n)! You better treat her right, or else I'll sucker punch you in the face!" Sayu warned him and raised her first menacingly at Yin-Kun as he chuckled. "I promise." Light agreed and walked over towards me.

"Hey, Yin-Kun, your heard your sister, if anything weird happens on the date she'll make sure you regret it." I reminded him as I saw him sweatdrop. "Got it, (Y/n)." Yin-Kun responded and put an arm around my shoulder making me sigh.

"Oh! You're Light's girlfriend! Please, come in! We're about to have brunch, would you care to join us?" Sachiko-okusan --Light's mother-- asked me in a warm smile which quickly made me smile back. "I would love that, but if Light doesn't want to-"

"I would love for you to join us, (Y/n)." Yin-Kun interrupted me making my eyebrow twitch. "Alright! It's decided then, I'll quickly go and get you a seat and a plate." Sachiko-okusan announced and went inside the kitchen.

"(Y/n), (Y/n)! Can you come play Yu-Gi-Oh with me?" Sayu asked me as she pulled the right sleeve of my sweater. I smiled, "Sure, though I don't think I have ever played it before." I sheepishly said as she pulled me up the stairs ignoring the yelling Yin-Kun.

"Sayu! Don't just drag (Y/n)-" Also cutting Yin-Kun off --that's what you get-- Sayu stuck out her tongue at Yin-Kun he tried to run up the stairs faster than us, but we were already at her door. "Too late!" Sayu yelled and quickly pulled me inside the room and locked the door, Yin-Kun pounding on the wooden door with his fists.

"Sorry, Yin-Kun! Our date doesn't start in a good 20 min so I'm not reserved for you yet!" I apologized to him in a teasing tone as I heard Sayu giggle. "Yeah! She's mine right now!" I smirked as she put down a deck of cards in front of me with a black swirly sign on the back with brown as the background.

Picking up the first card it said 'Dark Magician of Chaos' on the top as I saw a man with spiky dark midnight hair with a cone-shaped downward purple hat and one staff being held by both of his hands. "That's Dark Magician of Chaos, he's an eighth-level monster meaning you have to give up two monsters to summon him." Sayu explained to me as I hummed.

"He has attack points of 2,800 and defense points of 2,600, meaning he's better off in attack position." I stated and put back down the card into the deck. "True, true, but his effect is what matters most!" Sayu announced and pointed at the small text at the bottom of the picture.

"That tells you what he can do, and up here," Pointing at a small circle that was in the top right-hand corner the word Dark was seen as the circle was colored a dark and gloomy purple. "tells you what monster type it is." Sayu explained to me with a proud smile on her face.

"So... this card game is just about who can use the card the best?" I questioned her, glancing down at the deck of cards in wonder. "Yep! So, what do you say? Wanna play a quick game before your date starts?" Sayu slyly asked me, shuffling her cards, and gazed at me with a daring look in her eye.

I sweatdropped, "Sure, and don't worry, I don't want any help." Sayu shrugged and shuffled my own. "If you say so." Pulling out a piece of paper and a pen she put both of our names on each opposite side and wrote down 'LP' under our names and also wrote down 8,000 under that.

"We'll start with 8,000 Life Points, any questions?" Sayu asked me, quirking her eyebrow as she waited for me to say yes. 'Please, I'll never accept your help. Not to sound rude or proudful, but in the first five seconds of me being alive, I was appointed the second in command of the shinigami army. I can handle this.'

Handing me a game board with a bunch of monsters in it she explained to me where each of them goes. Where the defeated monsters, trap cards, or spells card goes: The graveyard. Where the special summon monsters go, and where the trap, spell, and monster cards go as well as her explaining the simple rules.

"All right then, let's duel!"

"Skull Archfiend of Lightening! Attack her Life Points directly!" I yelled as Sayu dramatically fell on the floor. "No! My Life Points! I lost to a noob! To a noob! I'll never recover from this humiliation!" Sayu dramatically cried as I stacked up my cards and folded the paper game board.

"Hey, brighten up! I have 5,300 Life Points left, so you did well." I tried to reassure her only for Sayu to lay face-down on the floor and crawl towards her bed. "I'll never leave my room-"

"Dinners ready!" Sachiko-okusan announced making Sayu quickly get up and unlock the door, running towards the dining room. I sighed and got up only to bump into Yin-Kun. "Sounded like you two were having quite the battle." Yin-Kun sarcastically said. "Must have been more important than me." Yin-Kun looked down at me as I felt myself back up against the wall. Yin-Kun pinned me up against it as he looked at me directly at the eyes intently.

"(Y/n), I love-" Cutting him off I put a hand to my nose. "Your breath stank, bro. Get some peppermint." I very kindly informed him, not that kind but it was a bit kind. Light's face instantly blushed in embarrassment as he leaned away from me allowing me to walk away from him and down the stairs towards the dining room.

"(Y/n)...!" I heard Yin-Kun angrily grumble as I stifled a laugh. "(Y/n), dear, over here!" Hearing the voice of Sachiko-okusan I turned around towards her and smiled. Heading over to the chair next to Sayu she instantly clung to my arm making me freeze before stiffly smiling down at her.

"Sayu! Let go of our guest!" Sachiko-okusan scolded Sayu as she pouted and latched away from me reluctantly. "Fine..." Sayu whispered and crossed her arms but quickly brightened up at the sight of cold soba.

"Light, mind helping me grab the other things?" Sachiko-okusan asked him, her smile forever shining like the sun. I like his mom, she's nice. Yin-Kun sighed, "Okay." Walking over with her they came back with Sachiko-okusan holding a pot of tea and pouring all of our teacups fully.

Setting down the small pot of curry on the table Yin-Kun sat across from me and began to pick out his food as his sister soon did the same, then his mother, and then me. "I'm sorry that my husband was not here to meet you, but he has been very busy lately with a case." Sachiko-okusan apologized, her gaze meeting my own.

I smiled, "It's fine, I can just meet him some other time." I reassured her and took a sip from the tea and relaxed because of its warm sensation. "Some other time? Does that mean you're coming over again?!" Sayu excitedly asked, her eyes shining.

I shrugged, "Probably, though, I suppose that all depends if Light allows me to." Sayu immediately looked over at Yin-Kun with a glare. "(Y/n) better come by soon, if not, you're going to answer to me!" Sayu warned him again making Sachiko-okusan sigh.

"Alright, you should all start eating now before the food gets cold." Sachiko-okusan advised which shut everyone up and began to eat. I served myself some cold soba and grabbed the wooden chopsticks and stared at the cold soba for a while before picking some up and putting it inside my mouth, chewing and swallowing, you know, human stuff.

"(Y/n), how do you like it?" Sachiko-okusan asked me, a worried smile on her face. My face was blank for a second before I quickly brightened up. This was... "This is the best cold soba I have ever tasted!" I exclaimed and ate more quickly making Sachiko-okusan chuckle.

"Slow down, sweetie, you'll choke." Sachiko-okusan suggested as I nodded and slowed down my eating. "Have you ever eaten cold soba before, (Y/n)?" Yin-Kun asked me, his eyes curiously watching as I ate my cold soba.

I shook my head and swallowed. "Never tasted it before, but now... I think I might just be in love." I dreamily sighed and began to slurp up more cold soba as I heard the laughter of Sayu. "Light, you just got bested by cold soba! You, the man that every girl in your high school is crazy for!" Sayu teased him as she got secretly pinched by her mom.

Yin-Kun frowned and looked over at me. "You seriously can't love cold soba more than me, (Y/n). We've been together ever since you moved in!" Yin-Kun fretted as Sayu looked over at Yin-Kun. "You guys have been dating for all this time and I didn't even know?!" Sayu exclaimed as she got another pinch from her mom.

I gulped and sent a quick glare at Yin-Kun before looking at Sayu. "Yeah, we have, I just thought that I wasn't ready to meet you guys." I lied to them and they nodding, believing my fake tale. "I understand. Oh, I do believe you two should leave now, we've been delaying your date for almost an hour!" Sachiko-okusan gasped and got up from her seat ushering both me and Yin-Kun out of the door.

"Have a good time!" Sachiko-okusan chirped and shut the door, giggling being heard behind the door. I sweatdropped and looked over at Yin-Kun. "How do you... handle humans like that since birth?" I questioned him as we walked away from the house and down the street.

"I suppose, as a human, you get used to it." Yin-Kun answered me as I nodded. Feeling something hold my hand I looked down and saw Yin-Kun clutching my hand tightly whilst mine was loose. "Quick question, where is Ryuk?" I asked him deciding to ignore the hand-holding part.

"I promised him if he didn't come with us to our date that I would let you guys hang out in the mall." Yin-Kun sadly answered me. I nodded my head and gripped his hand harshly. "Yin-Kun, you're lucky that I care about you." I growled as I heard him let out a whimper making me loose my hold on him.

"I know." Yin-Kun laughed as I sighed. "I have a feeling... that I will have a shopping dog with me today."
