After the news of L's discovery, Light was defeated, but only for this round. Once he snapped out of his thought process (Y/n) was already gone not wishing to deal with an angry Light already too late at night. 

Now, a day has passed since then and now Light and (Y/n) are walking down a street heading for their school. Glancing over at Light (Y/n) saw that he had a serene expression even though of the events that occurred yesterday, a smile ever so present on his face. 

"Are you okay, Light?" (Y/n) worriedly asked him, glancing back at her front then at Light every few seconds. Light looked over at her and smiled, "I'm fine, now that you're with me." Light answered her, the light shining against his brown locks. (Y/n) lifted an eyebrow before shrugging and looking forward. 

"Whatever you say, Yin-Kun." 

Now, they were back in school as (Y/n) was separated from both Light and Ryuk. (Y/n) was currently in science class hearing the teacher babble on about how photosynthesis worked, but more in-depth. 

Looking out the window (Y/n) saw Light having a soccer match with some of his classmates. The ball hitting his head Light pounced it up and down as it then went to the ground, the other players kicking it. One of the players kicked it inside the net earning a point. 

'He looks like such a regular student, with such a regular life... bullshit.' (Y/n) smiled at this and continued to watch. Already knowing of the people dying every second thanks to none other than our loved... Kira.

Grabbing the piece of bread that was on her plate (Y/n) munched on it. "You should eat something else." Looking up at Light (Y/n) let out a confused sound. "You always eat nothing but bread and water, eat something else for a change." Light advised (Y/n), handing her his juice box and a small container of rice. 

Gulping down her piece of bread (Y/n) looked back up at Light. "I eat more than just bread and water! I also eat strawberry cake and chocolate smoothies." (Y/n) countered as a triumphant smirk was on her lips thinking that she won. Light chuckled and opened the small container of rice and grasped a pair of chopsticks in his hands, dumping it inside the rice container. 

Seeing the incoming pair of chopsticks and rice (Y/n) eyes widened before her mouth was stuffed with the amazing flavor of the beautiful rice. (Y/n) froze for a second before slowly eating the rice and gulping it down. 

"More." (Y/n) demanded and moved closer towards Light making him laugh. "If you wish, (Y/n)."

Walking towards cram school (Y/n) was currently being piggy-backed ride by Light as she said, and I quote, "I walked around more than I ever had today, this is why I have wings, you know!" End of quote. 

"L is probably panicking by now. I still have fifty criminals left especially for times like this." Light smirked, their schoolbags being carried by (Y/n) even though Light rejected the idea, and so did Ryuk. 

"Why would L panic? If I was in his shoes, I would be rejoicing right now knowing what he already knows." (Y/n) drawled out, eyes getting sleepy from the amount of energy she had put into school. "Probably, but I don't think L has enough evidence right now to know who Kira is, so I think we still have some time left." Ryuk commented, his fingers running through her hair. 

'Right now, L should be starting to suspect someone involved with the police.' Light speculated, his brown eyes sharp. "When you think about it, Light is already a suspect." (Y/n) yawned, rubbing her eyes as Ryuk began to coo at her as if she was a baby which earned him a smack in the hand. 

"What do you mean by that?" Light questioned her, eyes glancing up at her curiously. "Well... they know that someone close or in the police force that is involved with the Kira case has the schedule of a student, leaving them thinking it's one of the children of the police involved with the Kira case, leaving you to be one of the many suspects." (Y/n) spoke, also playing with Light's hair, her eyes in a daze. 

"It won't take them long to narrow it down to you..."

'Kira has found a way to obtain information from the task force headquarters. I cannot ignore this fact.' Getting up from his sitting position L looked down at his computer, his eyes being covered by his hair bangs. 'What is Kira's real objective? What is he trying to do?' A snarl was shown on his face, the gears in his head turning at a rapid speed. 

Putting his hands inside his pocket he felt the familiar feeling of a piece of paper. Freezing for a second before quickly trying to get the paper out of his pocket he pulled it out and looked at it, flipping it over to the back he saw the familiar writing of his new friend.

"I don't get it, by getting rid of the student theory, aren't you at a bigger disadvantage if L thinks you're connected to the police?" Ryuk questioned, still trying to touch the already asleep head of (Y/n) even by Light constantly blocking his attack. 

"My reasons... it's in order to find L and finish him off." Light bluntly explained. "What do you mean?" Ryuk questioned him, trying to sneakily touch (Y/n) hair only for Light to move to the right quickly. "In human society, there are only a few people who actually trust each other. That's true even among police. In particular, L and the police don't trust each other at all. Could you trust someone whose face and name you don't know?" Light answered him but was not yet done with his speech. 

"When L discovers that information from the investigation was leaked... he's bound to search for leads on me within the police force. When he does, it's only a matter of time before the police get really mad. On the surface, L and the police are working together to try and catch me, but in reality... L's investigating the police and the police will start investigating L." Light stopped walking as the sun began to dip further away from Japan's view. 

"I'm not the one who's going to find L. The police will track him down, and I will eliminate him!" Light exclaimed, his eyes turning a deep shade of red. "You're a creepy creep, Yin-Kun." (Y/n) remarked, covering his eyes with her hands. 

"It's not even Halloween yet, so calm down." Light chuckled at this and grasped her hands in his own, pulling them away from his eyes. "Okay, (Y/n)."

"This is too much touching!" Ryuk angrily complained and tried to get (Y/n) away from Light making her wrap her hands around Light's neck tightly making him gasp for air as Ryuk tried to pull her away from him, (Y/n) yelling at him not to. 

Light sighed and glanced around and saw people looking at them weirdly. "Ryuk, stop, people are looking at us!" Light scolded Ryuk in a quiet tone. Ryuk quickly pulled away from (Y/n) as she hit him with her school bag.

"Here's the solution to this problem." (Y/n) silently groaned as she blocked the teacher's words, already being annoyed at the fact that she had to do this for a while before she is allowed to go back to the shinigami realm. 

'I can't believe I have to do this, no matter how many times I begged Light to drop out of cram school, he wouldn't listen! Now I'm stuck following him here every day.' (Y/n) pouted, but quickly looked up as she saw Ryuk walk away from the front of the class and towards the window next to her. 

Scooting her chair closer to her desk she allowed Ryuk to walk by the window and look outside. "(Y/n)... I think we have a rat." Ryuk whispered into her ear not wishing for Light to hear this. (Y/n) nodded and mouthed, 'I know'.

"FBI agents entered Japan four days ago. They are currently investigating the police involved." Inside a dark room were L and a computer stationed on the ground, the view of a man with a black trench coat and hat was seen on it. "This is the list, isn't it?" The L asked him, holding a packet of papers in his hands. 

"Yes." Moving the papers to be able to be seen better the man continued. "There are 141 people within the police alone who have access to classified information on the Kira investigation." The last piece of paper was shown in L's hands, number 141.

"But one of the 141 people of someone close to them..." Throwing the papers on the ground gently L placed his head on top of his hand. "... Kira is definitely among them!" The man on the computer proclaimed. 

One resume, in particular, stood out to the man in the darkroom.

"Light, you gotta second?" Ryuk asked Light. The three were currently walking back home from cram school as the sun already was gone being replaced by the moon, darkness being set at bay by the streetlights. 

"Didn't I tell you not to talk to me as much as possible when we're outside? How many times do I have to tell you?" Light asked him in a quiet voice, eyes narrowing in a glare being directed at the ground. (Y/n) was now on Lights back, her chest rising up and down calming Light from looking back at Ryuk. 

"Well then, I'll just tell you. Cover your ears if you don't want to hear. I don't have anything against you, Light. I think the notebook couldn't have been picked up by a better person, and I have to stick around with you until the notebook is finished or you are," Ryuk continued to stare at the back of (Y/n) head intensely, the next thing that he says leaving a print on Light. 

"but, I'm not on your side or L's." Ryuk admitted, Light looked over his and (Y/n) shoulder looking at Ryuk before looking back forward. "Ryuk, I know that much already." Light assured him. "That's why I'll never say anything about whether what you're doing is right or wrong, but I'm going to say this as your roommate." Ryuk continued to drawl on his speech making Light look back at him. 

"What's wrong, Ryuk? Why are you telling me this all of a sudden? This isn't like you." Light asked him. "I'm going to tell you this, not because I'm an ally of Kira, but because it's creeping (Y/n) out..." Light frowned, "Get to the point already..."

Ryuk smirked, "... someones been following you all this time." Ryuk revealed, an amused spark rippling in his red orbs. Light stopped walking as he let the news seep in, but continued walking soon after. 

"Indeed, it is pretty creepy..." (Y/n) mumbled, already being awake. Light glanced over at her and smiled, "Don't worry, it won't be like that for long." Light comforted her, smiling in the end making (Y/n) smile back. 

"He has been kinda annoying me lately making my sleep uncomfortable, and it doesn't help that he can see me." (Y/n) complained, glancing behind her shoulder to see the silhouette of the man hide behind a wall. 

"Don't worry, (Y/n), I'll get rid of him soon." Light promised her, his eyes downcast. (Y/n) nodded her head and rested her head back on top of Lights own. "All right, Light. Though, first, you should learn his name."

"Will do."

Sitting down on the park bench (Y/n) glanced down at her lit-up phone and reread the message that Ryuzaki sent her. 'I'm two minutes early... should I have arrived later?' (Y/) thought to herself and shrugged, 'Well, I'm already here, so I shouldn't ponder about it anymore.'

"(Y/n)?" Quickly looking over at the source of the voice (Y/n) smiled, "Panda-Kun!" (Y/n) exclaimed and quickly got up from her seat and ran up to him, wrapping him in a hug. "I see you're also early." L speculated causing (Y/n) to smile. 

"Yeah, so, what did you need?" (Y/n) asked him, sitting back down on the park bench as L did the same. "Do you know someone named Light?" L questioned her, his eyes boring into her own. (Y/n) paused for a second before nodding, "Yeah, why do you ask?" (Y/n) questioned him, glancing over at the moon and back at L. 

L nodded his head and looked down at his feet. "Steer clear away from him, he's dangerous." L warned her, expecting confusion but only hearing (Y/n) laugh. "Panda-Kun, Light is the least dangerous person in the world! He and I have been friends since I first moved here, and he was very kind to me, you must not know much about him." (Y/n) concluded, her false cluelessness to making her wish she could laugh more at the true information of Kira's nature. 

L stared back at her, his eyes darkening. "Just... if you feel something is off, tell me, okay?" L asked her, (Y/n) nodding in affirmation. "Sure thing, but I know nothing bad is happening with Light, so I suppose he's good. Though, I do have a few questions." (Y/n) looked back over at the moon and stared back at L. 

"How did you know that I know Light? Why do you want me to stay away from him? Also... why do you want me to report to you whenever he acts weird? Are you perhaps... suspecting him of being Kira?" (Y/n) questioned him. L was slightly taken aback but smiled. 

"You mentioned to me about him, and I knew someone who knew him who told me about Light. Second, when I said you should stay away from him, I meant you should be wary of those around you in these dangerous times. Third... kinda." L answered her questions, not being able to think correctly with her presence next to him making him come up with lame excuses. 

(Y/n) hummed, "I suppose you're right, and I should leave now, I have to wake up early tomorrow." Getting up from her seat (Y/n) turned around and waved L goodbye. Though, before she could get more than five steps away, she suddenly stopped and turned around towards L. 

"One, not even once have I said anything about a guy named Light, and remember when you asked me if I knew a guy named Light? That means that I didn't mention anyone named Light to you once, leading you to ask me that question. Second, why would you put someone that I never once talked about as an excuse to my second question? Which means I should also be wary of you. Third, that means that you're somewhat involved with the Kira case." (Y/n) stated confidently. Turning around she waved L goodbye. 

"Until we meet again, Panda-Kun!" (Y/n) waved goodbye and quickly walked away from his view leaving behind a confused L. "It seems... friends are much more hard work than I have originally thought since I couldn't come up with a believable lie on the spot." L speculated and bit his fingernail before nodding and getting up, a sleek black car waiting for him.
