YEE NAALDLOOSHII

"I was already tired. Han and Hyunjin were getting their gear ready, with Seungmin helping them first. Hyunjin, after gearing up, came to my side, tapped on the window, and asked if I needed help. I told him I was a bit tired and would join them later; if needed anything, then I would just text him. Hyunjin simply nodded and...left.

I stretched my legs a bit before pulling out a random book from my backpack. The book was named 'With it, it goes on all four'.

It had a pitch black cover with wooden letters printed all over it. It was about a Navajo creature or something, it said. Just looking at the cover didn’t tell me much.

It surely wasn't my book. I saw it for the very first time. Maybe someone put it in while we were at the log.

The very first page had a disturbing picture of this creature. It somewhat had an in-between appearance that blended a human and some animal. It was tall and sinewy, with limbs that bend at unnatural angles; fingers crooked at those tree branches that weren't that far from me. Its skin was pale, weathered, and stretched tightly over bones. The face—well, wasn’t there. I wasn’t sure if it was on purpose or a printing error, but it caught my attention...

The sisters talked about these malevolent creatures that would prey for blood and flesh in any form.

Skinwalkers is what they referred to these dreadful beings throughout the book. The book was informative with no interesting pictures except for the first page.

I don't know why I kept reading the book maybe the concept of skinwalker was something new to me. I was lost in the information when all of a sudden I heard a–

Knock! Knock!"
