CHAPTER NINE

"What kind of room is this?" you said with an irritation.

After the investigation, the captain of the hunting dogs asks this two guys to take care of you and the rest left the room, leaving you, Jouno, and Tetchou behind.

"Tetchou, I'm going for an errand." Jouno said and immediately left without hearing what Tetchou gonna say.

'What are we even gonna do here?' Tetchou said inside his head with irritation.

A few moments of silent, Tetchou heard a grumbling sound. He looked at you.

"Are you hungry?" he asked.

"If you are going to feed me, please do." You said as you were facing away from him.

"I'll be back. Don't even think about running away because if you did, you'll have a talk with my sword." he said coldly and left.

"Rest assure." is the only thing that you said before tetchou left the place.

That made you think, 'They already met her?'

Somehow you felt anxious and you don't know what to do next.

'Maybe, I'll try to convince them to get them to help me this is going to be a tough one to handle.'

And the first person you decided to convince first was the person that was going to greet you later.

After a few moments of waiting, Tetchou came back with the food. You and him went to sit in the chair and prepare to eat.

You examine the food that was prepared for tetchou.

'What is this food...'

You looked at tetchou to make sure if the food in front of you was edible. He was eating it without any hesitation.

You looked at your food and swallowed your suliva.

Maybe their culture here is different from yours, maybe that's why their food look like this.

You closed your eyes and took the first bite.

'nevermind.' You said inside your head as you forced to swallow the food.

'I don't think this food is even edible' you took a small peek on what tetchou was eating and to your shock, his food also doesn't look edible.

'is he eating his egg with the shell on?' You couldn't even believe what you were saying.

After he took a bite of the egg with it's shell on, you gently took the egg from his hand.

He looked at you confused. "You wanted the egg?"

You sighed, "Not exactly." you said as you started peeling the shell off of the egg.

Suddenly you felt pityful towards him. 'Does this guy even get to eat properly?'

As you finishedpeeling off the shell, you gave the egg to him.

Tetchou gladly took the egg and ate it. Of course, he prefers the egg on but he didn't tell you anything.

"Are you from a samurai lineage?" suddenly Tetchou spoke to break the silence.

That made you think.

"I don't . . . know." you said hesitantly.

'Did I come from a samurai lineage?'

Meanwhile, Just like what Jouno said, he went on an errand.

And right now he is in a local store. He went inside to check on something.

"Which snack shall I be eating today?" Jouno heard a familiar voice.

'Found you, Ranpo Edogawa.'
