Naira looked at nothing in particular. Lost in her thoughts. A lump formed in her throat making her unable to breathe. Her eyes were flowing continuosly. And the pain was increasing in her heart.

Why she? Why can't she live a normal life like every other person.

Why?

She was in the street of her house. Getting dirty looks from her neighbours. But she didn't pay heed to them because the inner turmoil was enough. Enough to break her.

Just then she saw a car approaching. It stopped some distance away from her. And she felt relief,relief to see him. Her Kartik.

He came out of the car looking for her.

"Naira!" He said visibly relieved seeing her. And ran upto her.

"Naira!" He chanted her name and pulled her in a hug.

She felt calmness spreading in her heart. She clutched onto him like she was dependent on him. She indeed was!his embrace was the only place where she could live with happiness,with calmness,with love.

"Kartik" she whispered. Clutching onto him more. While he pulled her more closer. Trying to lessen her pain. Her tensions. Her grief.

"Take me away from here. Please." She whispered in a shaky voice.

He broke the hug and his heart pained seeing her. Her red puffy eyes. Her weary face which was just reflecting pain and sadness. He nodded and took her hand after kissing her forehead.

He sat on his driver's seat after making her sit on her seat. And started the engine.

There was just silence. Between them. She was looking outside the window. At nothing in particular. While he was stealing her glances.

Naira was trying her best not to cry. Not to shed more tears. She was tired from all this. From crying. From everything.

But the tears never stopped. They flew continuously. She tried to hide her tears from him. Wiping them every now and then and never looking at him.

While he just couldn't help but feel helpless. After seeing her like this for some minutes. He held her hand, squeezing it, trying to comfort her. But she didn't look at him. She couldn't.

Her inner turmoil was breaking her. Today's happenings were revolving in her mind. And That was making her weak. more weak.

After the ride,they finally reached her apartment. She clutched her bag,her phone and came outside of car. Directly running to her apartment. She knew she would break down anytime and didn't want him to see her in that condition. Again.

She went inside. He followed. He can't leave her in this condition. He knew that She was broken and she needed him there. With her.

She grabbed her clothes and went inside her washroom all the way knowing about his presence.

While he felt his heart breaking in million pieces seeing her so broken.

She came out of her shower after an hour. Bawling her eyes out. Whimpering. After a hell of tortourous shower,she came back in her room dressed in her usual pyjamas and top. And saw no one there.

Maybe he has gone.

She climbed on bed and rest her head on headboard. Her tears again rolled down her cheeks. And she clutched her feets to her chest feeling lonely.

Get out from my house.

Those painful memories again knocked her heart. And she started sobbing again.

"Pa..pa.." she cried Fisting bedsheet. Her head pounding making it hard for her.

"Naira!" His voice reached her ears. And she quickly wiped her tears. Turning to look at him.

Kartik came close to her. And sat on the bed.

" Naira!" He caressed her hair. And pulled her on his lap. Hugging her. She hugged him and sobbed.

She sobbed, cried, wailed For hours. But still the pain in her heart didn't reduce to an inch. Although Kartik's presence made her feel relaxed. But still that sorrow didn't get lessen.

After crying for hours in his embrace,she pulled away from him.

"You should go now" she said  and dragged herself back putting her head on headboard looking at the farthest end.

"I won't" he whispered.

"Kartik.. (she paused) I think...I think.. we should break up." She said not looking at him.

"What!" He shouted shocked. Where did it come from?

"Yes.. we should break up.." she said and shrugged acting non-chalantly.

"And may I know why?" He asked cupping her face.

"It's .. it's just that you deserve happiness Kartik. And living with me. Being with me.. won't give you happiness. I can't give you happiness. I .. I am myself broken Kartik.. move on ..from all this.. and find someone who can give you happiness."  She said averting her eyes.

"Naira!" He was cut off by her.

"I am tired Kartik.. I am tired of this crying..  this life..this world.." she added. "You are wasting your time here." She looked at him and said.

"I don't wanna live anymo" he shushed her by keeping his finger on her lips. And glaring at her for saying that.

"Shut up. No more words. Make this thing settle in your mind that i get happiness with you and only you. That you are the only one whom I want to spend my time with. With whom. I want to share my life. So never. Never ever repeat those words again." He said cupping her face. And kissed her forehead.

"And please naira don't say like that. Everything will be fine. Everything will be good. You will get through this. We will get through this. Pls believe in you" he said and touched her forehead with his. Trying to make her understand. Trying to soothe her pain.

"Ok?" He asked.

"Hmm" she hummed trying to take all the comfort she could.

"Wait,I will bring you something. You must be feeling hungry." He said and got up.

"I am not hungry kartik." She replied.

"Shut up" he scolded and she chuckled.

"Tadaa" he exclaimed  entering in her room with one plate.

"What's it?" She asked. He sat on the bed.

"Maggie" he said and scratched his scalp embarassed.

"I just knew how to cook this." He said Pouting and she couldn't help but kiss his cheek.

"It's fine. I love Maggie." She said.

"Really?"

*Yes,In childhood. I and Aayush used to cook it and eat it." She said rubbing her hands enthusiastically. Just then she realised and stopped.

Before her thoughts invade her again. Kartik took a spoon in front of her mouth making her eat. And her eyes glistened seeing him.

She is indeed lucky to have him.

She ate and complimented him. His culinary skills. While he chuckled.

She made him eat. And they finished their Maggie like this.

"Now go to sleep." He said and she lied down. And he sat there caressing her hair trying to make her sleep.

She sobbed sometimes trying not to make any sound. To prevent him from listening. But whom she was kidding with?. He was sitting near her. Close to her and he could hear everything.

So after seeing her like this for minutes,he pulled the duvet's end and lied down next to her. Pulling her near him. Side hugging her.

And she finally slept in his embrace. Feeling relaxed and loved.
