I had to check the timeline and backstory.
And it got to writing this:
Husk was born in Las Vegas in the 1890s,ย and grew up playing the saxophone in casinos until he died in the mid-sixties and early 1970sย (I also learned that he was great with kids, a former Vietnam War soldier just as VivziePop described).ย
And we also don't know whether he had children or not, but I'd like to think that he did so that's why I want toย introduce my OC, Gabriella, as his daughter.ย So what I wanted to put was this:
After Husk played the saxophone in lounge bars, he fell in love at first sight with a hooker. One night, they conceived a child, and, believing he wouldn't abandon her, Husk married her at 20. Their daughter, Gabriella, was born eight days later on September 8, 1910.
What seemed like a happy family turned sour when Husk realized his wife was only after his money. In 1915, when Gabriella was four, his ex-wife left him, divorcing and never returning. Husk and Gabriella moved into a casino, where he raised her and ensured she received a better education than he had.
Husk later went to fight in the Vietnam War. Gabriella wrote him daily, and he cherished her letters. However, upon his return, he had changed; he became a gambler and magician, continuing to pay for Gabriella's education while unaware that she was skipping classes. Things seemed to improve until his debts mounted. To avoid worrying her, Husk drowned his sorrows in cheap booze throughout Gabriella's childhood. She loved him dearly and overlooked his drinking problem.
Tragically, he died from an alcohol overdose, prompting Gabriella to leave high school and work as a bartender and nurse. Sadly, she was murdered just three months after his death in the early 1970s.
