Hannah

The bright light from the sun woke me up with a snatch. I sat up and rubbed my eyes realizing that I'm not in my room at the university. I looked to my right and saw Shawn sleeping peacefully beside me. I carefully went out of the bed and sneaked into the bathroom, with the hope that I can found a painkiller or something like that. So I can give it to Shawn when he wakes up.

After a few minutes, I finally found a little box of painkillers. I took out a pill from the box and filled a glass of water before I put it down on the nightstand on the side where Shawn is sleeping. I looked at the time and saw that I need to be at the university in about 10 minutes and it takes around 30 minutes to come to the university from Shawn's apartment. So I have to go like, right now.

I took a piece of paper and wrote a little note to him.

Hi!
I'm sorry for last night. I really am. I didn't mean it to happen. But I'm glad that I finally got the chance to see you again. If you just knew how much I have missed you. I wish that I could stay, but I need to be at the university. I can call or text you when I've finished for the day? And oh, don't forget to take the painkiller as quick you've woke up. And I hope that you'll feel better soon. I can buy something for you if you want? If so, you can just text me if you need something :) As I said, I wish that I could stay with you and take care of you, but I need to go now. Bye <3

I laid the note beside the glass of water and the painkiller before I walked to the hall and put on my shoes.

"Where are you going?" I heard a tired and raspy voice behind me. "Oh fuck, you scared me" I turned around and put my hand on my chest "Sorry," he said and laughed. "Did I wake you up?" "No, I woke up by myself when I felt that no one laid beside me" "Sorry, but I need to go. I'm already late. Did you take the painkiller by the way?"

He nodded and took a few steps towards me "Do you need a ride?" he asked and brushed away hair from my face "You shouldn't be driving now Shawn" I shook my head. "I know. But I can call for a cab and I can be your company. I call a cab right now and I'll go and put on some clothes. Because I can't go like this" he said and looked down on himself, only wearing boxers.

"That's a good idea" I laughed "And thank you" I smiled up at him. "Of course. Anytime" he said before he disappeared into his room to change.

Not long after Shawn came back to me. And damn, he is looking good.

It must be illegal to look this good. And how can such a simple outfit look so good at him?! I don't understand! If he just knew what he is doing to me. Fuck.

I cursed under my breath and I think he heard me because he smiled at me "What did you say?" He furrowed his eyebrows with a little smile on his lips "Eh, um- Nothing" I slurred and I could feel my cheeks heating up. I bent up from tying my shoes and flipped back my hair and he just smirked at me "What?" I chuckled "You don't look so bad yourself," he said before he opened the front door for me and I could feel my cheeks heating up even more.

"Do I make you blush?" he nudged me with his arm and had a warm smile painted on his face. "Shut up" I giggled and pushed him playfully. "I take that as a yes and I like it"

-Skip car ride-

"See you later today?" he asked and placed his hand on my thigh and gave it a light squeeze "Yeah" I nodded and tugged a strand behind my ear. He leaned towards me and cupped my cheek and stroked it with his thumb. First, he looked at me in my eyes, then they traveled down to my lips and he peaked me on my lips. The kiss was short but passionate and I could feel him smile against my lips. I put my hand on his chest and pulled him away "Okay, but I really need to go now" I smiled before I jumped out of the car and walked away to my class.

-Later that day-

I sat down on the grass patch and read my book. Enjoying that I'm finished with my studies for the day.

All of sudden a shadow stood in front of me which caused me to look up.

"What the fuck is this?" Jack asked and showed me his phone. "Jack, you know that you can't keep coming like this?" I raised one eyebrow "Answer me. What the fuck is this?" I took the phone out of his hand and looked at the screen. It was an article with the title 'What happened between Shawn Mendes and Hannah Smith? And who is the new guy?'

The first picture was of me and Shawn kissing on the street in Toronto and the other one was of me and Jack walking down the street here in London.

"Just some bullshit," I said and gave him his phone "You dated me just to distract yourself from Shawn?! I'm just a toy for you?!" "No Jack. It's not like that" "Well it seems like it" he shoots me a death glare and then looked down on his phone again "Hannah Smith and Shawn Mendes have been spotted a few times on the streets in Toronto kissing. Are they a couple? Probably not. After one week they were spotted at the airport, hugging and crying. And not long after Hannah was spotted with a new guy. Who is he?! Is he the new lover of Hannah's life? They haven't been spotted kissing yet, but they have been spotted a lot of times when they are holding hands and walking close to each other. Is it something that Hannah is trying to hide? Is the new guy just a distraction? It seems like it. Hannah is hiding something. Who is she gonna choose at the end? Shawn or the secret guy?" he read out loud from the article.

"So you have just been messing with my mind? Playing with my feelings?!" He almost yelled at me. "No Jack listen. I-" "No. I'm not finished yet! You use me as your little toy just because you broke up, or whatever, with Shawn. Who you by the way said was your friend. But you lied. So you just used me to make you think of something else?!"

"No, listen to me! It's not what you think. It's nothing going on between me and Shawn. It was something but nothing serious. We never had something serious. It was just a fling. Trust me. I feel more for you than I feel for him"

"How the fuck can I trust you? You have been lying to me. Saying that you and Shawn are just friends, but then I see a picture of you and him making out?!" He raised his voice and I could feel a lot of eyes on us.

"Jack, just please listen to me! It was just a fling. But when we talked for the first time, I felt that you were someone special. And that's why Shawn got mad at me when you and I were talking at the hotel. Because he thinks that I was in love with him. But I told him that I don't feel anything for him and we ended up as friends" "I- I just can't talk to you right now. I can't believe that you have been lying to me. I thought that we had something" he said with a sad voice and then he turned and walked away.

I don't know why I lied to him. But at the same time, I'm feeling upset that he thinks that about me. He is kind, but it was just yesterday that wasn't the best date. But otherwise, he is an amazing guy. Why did he have to see that stupid article? And why did I kiss Shawn when I know that we can't live together. I like Shawn. I do. And I'm starting to fall for him. But I can't do that. We can't fall in love. Aaahh! There is way too many thought in my head right now.

Shawn

The time was around 8 pm and it started to get dark outside and I haven't heard anything from Hannah. So I decided to take a cab to her university. Just to check on her, if something has happened or not. I have that feeling that something bad has happened to her.

I walked into the dorm hallway and a lot of girls looked at me and whispered behind my back. But no Hannah.

"Hey," a girl's voice said behind my back which caused me to turn around. "You are Shawn right?" "Yes, that's me. Can I help you with something?" "Are you looking for Hannah?" "Yes, how did you know?" I raised one eyebrow at her. "I'm her friend. And she had shown pictures of you. So I'm guessing that you are looking for her"

"Oh, do you know where she is?" "Yeah, she is at her place" "Her place?" I raised one eyebrow confused about what she was talking about. "Oh stupid me. How should you know?" she giggled and shook her head "She is on the top of the hill that is behind the university"

"Thank you so much," I said and placed my hand on her shoulder while I walked past her.

And there she sat. On a bench on top of the hill. Resting her elbows on her knees, her face in her hands, and looking out of the view. I took slow steps towards her and took a seat beside her. "Hey"

"Hi? How did you found me here?" she asked and looked at me. "I was worried that something had happened to you so I took a cab. Then your friend comes up to me and told me that you were here"

She just nodded her head and then looked back at the view. And I could tell that something is upsetting her. I then saw a tear escaping her eye, rolling down slowly against her cheek. "Hey," I said and wrapped my arms around her body and pulled her close to me. "Shh, it's okay" I rubbed my hand on her arm, trying to calm her down.

She rested her head on my shoulder "You can tell me anything" I said against her forehead and gave her a quick kiss on her forehead.

"I don't know if I can" she shook her head and hid her face in her hands. "Hannah," I said and grabbed her wrists and took away her hands from her face, and wiped away the tears from her cheeks. "You can tell me anything. I can see that something is upsetting you. And that makes me worried"

She swallowed hard before she spoke up.

I know this chapter was crap as well. I had an idea of what would happen next. But If I continued to write this chapter would be so looking. So the rest will come in the next part. And I'm sorry once again that this chapter went out like crap. I promise to try to step up my game for the next part. Have a nice day/night! 💫❤️
