The episode opens with a warm and vibrant kitchen set in soft shades of pink and white, immediately creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere. The countertops are lined with ingredients, sauces, and spices, and there's a sizzling pan already on the stove. Jade, dressed in a light pink apron with "Jaded Talks" embroidered across the front, is standing behind the counter with a playful smile. Jennie walks into the shot, wearing a white apron with small, cute cat prints.
"Welcome to Jaded Talks, where we talk, spill a little tea, and apparently cook up something good!" Jade says, glancing at the camera with her signature wink. Jennie waves, already giggling as she ties her apron.
"I think you're going to need more help cooking than talking today, Jade," Jennie teases, moving over to the counter to check on the ingredients.
The episode kicks off with the two of them making Korean food-specifically tteokbokki and kimchi fried rice. Jennie, as always, is confident in the kitchen, while Jade is more laid-back, focusing more on the conversation than the cooking.
"Okay, Jennie," Jade starts, chopping vegetables, "we've cooked together a lot, but today we're making it official. Are you ready?"
Jennie smirks, her hands already working on the sauce for the tteokbokki. "I'm always ready, especially when it comes to food."
Jade laughs and gestures to the camera, "So, Blinks-this is a special episode because I've got Jennie with me today. We're going to cook, chat about our releases, and maybe spill some behind-the-scenes stories you haven't heard before."
As the two of them begin preparing the ingredients, Jennie carefully stirring the tteokbokki sauce, Jade looks over at her with a grin.
"Let's start with your solo debut," Jade says. "When 'SOLO' came out, everyone lost their minds. It was such a powerful release. How did it feel to finally get that out there?"
Jennie pauses for a moment, her expression softening as she thinks back. "Honestly, it was nerve-wracking," she admits, pouring some gochujang into the sauce. "I'd been part of BLACKPINK for so long that I got used to having the other members around. But doing something by myself? It was different. I felt so exposed but also so proud."
Jade nods, genuinely interested. "I remember how nervous you were right before it dropped. We were all watching the music video together for the first time, and I could see you holding your breath."
Jennie laughs, "Yeah, I was terrified! But the response was overwhelming. I think I found a new kind of confidence with that song."
The two continue cooking, with Jennie taking the lead on the tteokbokki, while Jade starts working on the kimchi fried rice. The conversation shifts to Jade's own career, specifically her acting.
"Speaking of solo projects," Jennie starts, giving Jade a sly look, "you've been doing some serious acting lately. Law School was huge. How did it feel to step into that role?"
Jade stirs the rice, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "Acting is a whole different world. I think people expect it to be easier than it is because we perform on stage all the time, but it's not the same. When I was on set for Law School the cast was amazing, and they really helped me get comfortable. Of course having Youn-Jung there helped."
Jennie nods, flipping the rice in the pan expertly. "I can imagine. You always had this natural confidence, though, like you were meant to act."
Jade laughs, a little shy, "Well, I don't know about that. But it was definitely fun. I'm really excited about some of the projects I have coming up."
There's a pause as the two of them focus on cooking for a moment, with the sizzle of the pan and the rich aroma of spices filling the air. Jennie glances over at Jade with a mischievous smile.
"So... speaking of solo projects," Jennie says, her tone playful, "what about you, Jade? You've been in the studio a lot lately. When are we going to get your solo debut?"
Jade smirks, clearly expecting the question. She stirs the kimchi fried rice with deliberate slowness, keeping the suspense up.
"You know I can't say too much about that," she teases, glancing at the camera. "But let's just say... I've been working on some things."
Jennie raises her eyebrows, leaning in. "That sounds like a teaser to me! Come on, you've got to give us a little more than that."
Jade laughs, shaking her head. "No spoilers today! But I will say that I might have a song I want to give Blinks. But other than that all I can say is that, I've been really inspired lately, so who knows what might happen next?"
The camera zooms in on Jennie's exaggerated pout, making the viewers laugh as Jade brushes off the question. The playful teasing continues as they finish cooking, with Jennie trying to pry more information out of Jade about her solo music, to no avail.
As they plate the food, Jennie switches gears, bringing up one of Jade's other ventures.
"So, besides teasing us about your music," Jennie begins, "you've also been planning on your podcast, Jaded Talks. How's that going?"
Jade's face lights up as she starts talking about the podcast. "It's been amazing. I have so many ideas on what I want to do and who to invite, other than the great Jennie Kim," she says, nudging Jennie playfully. "It's been a great way to connect with fans in a more personal way."
Jennie nods, taking a bite of the tteokbokki. "It's fun, right? I feel like people don't always get to see that side of us. We're always performing, always in front of the camera, but the podcast feels more relaxed. Like we're just hanging out."
Jade agrees. "Exactly! And I think that's why fans will love it. It's not just about the music-it's about who we are off stage, too."
The conversation flows naturally as they continue eating, with both of them sharing stories from their rookie days, talking about the ups and downs of being in the spotlight.
At one point, Jennie brings up an old memory that makes both of them burst into laughter. "Do you remember our first tour, how you couldn't stop laughing during rehearsals? The choreographer was so mad!"
Jade covers her face, laughing at the memory. "I couldn't help it! I was so nervous that everything seemed funny. And you weren't helping-you kept whispering jokes!"
Jennie laughs, "Well, you were the one who started it! But yeah, those were some crazy times."
The two fall into a comfortable rhythm of chatting and eating, sharing stories about their growth as artists and friends over the years. They discuss their favorite performances, the challenges they faced, and how proud they are of each other for everything they've accomplished.
As the conversation winds down, Jennie returns to her teasing tone. "So, back to this solo debut... Are you really not going to give us any hints?"
Jade shakes her head with a grin, clearly enjoying keeping her plans under wraps. "Nope. You'll just have to wait and see."
Jennie sighs dramatically, "Fine. I'll get it out of you eventually."
The episode ends on a lighthearted note, with the two of them finishing their food and joking about doing more cooking episodes in the future.
"Thanks for hanging out with us today!" Jade says, turning to the camera. "Make sure to watch Jennie's episode on Jaded Talks and try cooking some tteokbokki at home. It's really good."
Jennie waves to the camera, smiling, "And don't forget to keep an eye on Jade's solo project... whenever that happens."
The screen fades to black as the iconic Jaded Talks logo appears, leaving viewers excited for what's next.
