Prolouge

A young woman with dark, shoulder-length hair walks through the sterile, humming lab, her clipboard tucked close to her chest. The quiet of the space is thick with the scent of antiseptic and the cold touch of metal surfaces. She moves with purpose, her heels clicking lightly against the polished floor. Yet, something feels... off. Her steps slow, eyes flicking over the sterile surroundings. Her fingers tighten around the edges of the clipboard as the hairs on the back of her neck prickle.

Suddenly, a faint, almost imperceptible hiss slices through the silence. Her breath catches, and she whips around.

A viscous, black mass undulates near one of the lab tables, slowly, almost sensually, gathering itself like liquid shadows twisting together. At first, it's an amorphous blob—sticky, glistening, and unnatural—but then it begins to take shape, forming into something darker, something alive. Two white, jagged eyes emerge, glowing faintly in the dim light, like hollow moons in a pitch-black sky.

"Ahh," it hisses, a sound like a breath caught in the throat of something monstrous. "Finally... a worthy host."

A chill crawls up her spine, but before she can react, the black mass lunges toward her, slick and swift. It wraps around her, coating her in an unyielding, freezing grip. The edges of her vision blur into darkness. Her heart races, and she tries to scream, but her voice is swallowed by the overwhelming presence.

Pain. Sharp, searing pain. It erupts through every fiber of her being as she struggles, unable to break free. Her muscles lock, her body betraying her as the foreign substance seizes control. The world twists and warps. Every nerve feels as if it's on fire, but then—just as suddenly as it came—the pain stops.

Silence.

Her body feels different now—stronger, yet heavier. A strange, primal power pulses through her veins, and something else settles inside her, a voice that echoes deep within her mind, unfamiliar but undeniable.

"Now you and I are one, L/N," it says, low and growling, but also something... smoother, like a purring predator. "You and I are Venom, and you are mine."

Her breath hitches, her heart still pounding in her chest. Her hands tremble, and she feels the weight of it—the bond, the connection. Something shifts within her, like a shadow stretching over her very soul. Her fingers twitch, and instinctively, she can feel it—something alien, yet entirely her own—coursing through her.

The world around her, though still dark, is now clearer. The lab is hers to command, her senses heightened, the air thick with the promise of power. Her eyes snap toward a reflection in the glass of a nearby lab station. Her face is still her own, but the contours of her body feel... different. Stronger. Darker.

I didn't ask for this, she thinks, but there's no answer. Only a dark, malicious chuckle reverberates in her mind. The voice is playful now, almost teasing.

"Didn't you? You were always destined for more, L/N. And now, you have us."

Her heart skips a beat, a mix of fear and exhilaration flooding her. There's no going back. Whatever was in her body is not just a parasite—it's a partner. A beast. A hunger.

And she is its new home.

The reflection in the glass grins back at her, sharp, unhinged, and entirely alive.
