"Hyung," Jungkook gasped.
"Whoa whoa. Hey. Kookie, hey."
"I can't — Mimi, can't...c," Jungkook coughed, his body trembling against Jimin's.
"Baby. I'm here. I've got you," Jimin promised and lowered them to the floor. He held onto the younger, his hand rubbing circles onto Jungkook's back.
The younger shuddered.
"I failed. I failed."
"Hey, baby. Calm down. Breathe with me, kookie."
Jimin whispered softly into Jungkook's ear, and held him tight, reminding the younger that he wasn't alone; that he was right there with him. Eventually, Jungkook's breathing slowed but the tears didn't.
Jimin pulled away and cupped the younger's cheeks, concern written all over his face.
"What happened?" he asked, "Do you want to talk to me about it?"
Jungkook nodded as he narrated the earlier events to Jimin, tears sliding down his cheeks in an endless stream. Jimin would be lying if he said his blood wasn't boiling by the end of it.
"Regardless of the powers you possess, you're still human. You're still bound to make mistakes and that's okay. You don't need to be condemned for them. Things like these happen and it's okay," said Jimin as he kissed the younger's tears away.
"But I—"
"No buts. People have way too many expectations of you. Expectations that are fucking unrealistic," Jimin growled, anger seeping through his veins at the unfairness his boyfriend was put through.
"Mimi," Jungkook whispered.
"You're allowed to make mistakes. You're allowed to be human. And it's okay. Don't listen to any of the shit people have to say. Those ungrateful bitches."
Jungkook rested his head against Jimin's shoulder and the older dropped a kiss to his hair.
"I've got you, baby. I'm here. You're okay."
To be continued . . .
