PLOT

Alexandra had been on her own for as long as she could remember. She had no idea who her family was or why they'd left her behind. From a young age, she was thrust into self-reliance. She had to learn to survive and discover that she was the only one that she could truly depend on. Too many past betrayals had taught her to disbelieve anything people said. Though it was a constant struggle to resist relying on others, she carved out her path, facing the world entirely alone.

Until she wasn't alone anymore.

Alexandra soon found true friends who were always by her side, even when she didn't want them to be. Dustin Henderson and Will Byers made sure she always had a safe place, even completely redecorating the Byers' shed for her. Mike Wheeler and Lucas Sinclair consistently brought her food, especially since their mothers always made sure there were leftovers. Without a home of her own, Alexandra still felt safe. She felt their love. She knew they cared. But everything changed one fateful day. The day when everyone's world was turned upside down.

Will Byers disappeared.

Now not only did Alexandra need to help her friends find Will, she needed to avoid the police officers searching for him. Because a girl without a home draws everyone's attention from miles away. She was doing an excellent job at balancing the two, but everything changed with a new face made an appearance. No one knew what to make of Eleven, only that she reminded them all of Alexandra. She was a young girl without a family and without a home who was on the run. But Eleven drew much more attention to herself than Alexandra did. That was when they discovered that it wasn't just the police after them.

It was something out of a nightmare.

NOTES

▻ Alexandra has always relied on friends giving her a place to stay and never had a home of her own. She'd take shelter in closed shops if she didn't have a friend to stay with. But she never stayed in the same place too long because she didn't want to get caught.

▻ Alexandra has a crush on Dustin throughout the story, but never says anything. She doesn't think she deserves someone like him. Their relationship is extremely slowburn. They will have cute moments throughout the story, but won't get together until the end of season 4.

▻ Alexandra and Dustin's relationship is adorable. He tries to lift her up during her low moments and is always there for her. She always listens to his plans, no matter how crazy they sound.

▻ Alexandra gets questioned by CPS in season 3. She tries to avoid them as much as possible, but they always seem to find her. Steve is constantly by her side, claiming that he's her legal guardian. He officially adopts her soon after that. Alex will change her last name to Harrington.

▻ Alexandra drifts apart from her friends in season 4 for no particular reason. You can come up with a reason if you'd like to. She starts to hang out with Eddie more, who becomes a big brother figure to her.
