Knock knock

There was a knock on the door and Adalyn walked up to it and opened it to reveal Michelle behind it.

"Come on. Let's go." She said, beckoning Coco and Adalyn to follow her.

"Okay." Adalyn said as she and Coco picked up their necessary things and made their way out.

Adalyn and Coco walked up to Chelsea and Kate's room to invite them. After all of them were ready, they went down to the cab Michelle had booked.

"Where are we going?" Chelsea asked.

"We are going to explore around." Michelle explained.

Coco connected her phone with the car speakers and began blasting music. All of them jammed to it. They soon reached a very aesthetic looking small suburban area, similar to the one where Ruel had his photography session, but not the same. There was graffiti on the walls, and there were beautiful plants and trees all around. It's the type of place people would love to come with a book and a cup of coffee to escape from their life.

"I love aesthetic places." Coco said.

"Me too. They are some of the best places for photography." Adalyn said. Such places make her do photography for hours and hours without anything stopping her. She removed the cover off the lens and began her photography with Michelle.

"Show show show!" Coco shouted like a child.

"There you go." Adalyn said as she removed the camera from her neck and handed it to her.

"Bro, how do you do it?!" Coco screamed.

"I wanna see too." Michelle said. She took the camera from Coco's hand and saw the pictures with Kate and Chelsea.

"Wow." Michelle gasped.

"Adalyn you are so talented." Chelsea complimented.

"You'll be so successful in your life dear." Kate smiled.

Adalyn began gushing at the sudden flow of compliments.

"I'm not that good." She said.

"Stop being so modest! You are that good, heck, you're great! You put that thought in your head." Coco said sternly.

"Okay." Adalyn said with a giggle.

"I would love to click pictures of you all too." Adalyn said further.

"Yeah, why don't you become our models?" Michelle said.

"Of course!" They all said as they began posing at various places and in lots of fun ways.

Thanks guys! You all are amazing." Adalyn said as she viewed the pictures with Michelle.

"You're welcome." Chelsea smiled.

"The pictures are good because our photographer is amazing." Kate said.

"Oh please stop." Adalyn said.

By this time, it was lunch time and the group was on their way to a restaurant. They found a really beautiful one and went inside. They sat down and continued talking. They all bonded on so many topics. Adalyn had so much fun listening to their stories of tour. They told her about how tour life can be like and how much fun but hectic it is. Soon, their food came and they began eating that.

"Coco." Adalyn called out. She looked up to her.

"Yeah?" She asked.

"Smile." Adalyn said as she clicked a picture of Coco.

"You look beautiful." Adalyn said, showing it to her.

"That's so nice! Thanks Addie." She smiled as she continued eating her food.

Within some time they had finished their food and were on their way back to the hotel.

"Today was fun." Chelsea said as she sat down in the cab.

"Yes. We should do more of these." Kate said.

"Of course. We'll plan some more." Michelle said.

Soon they reached the hotel and they made their way to their rooms.

"Girls," Kate called out, "do you want to come with me in my room?" She asked Coco and Adalyn. Michelle and Chelsea had already gone in their rooms.

Adalyn contemplated going in or not. Knowing that Ruel will also be there, her being in the same room as him can be awkward.

"Sure." Coco said before Adalyn could say anything else.

"Great, freshen up, and then join me." Kate said as she went inside her room.

"Okay." Coco said as she and Adalyn went in their room.

"Coco!" Adalyn said as she slammed the door shut behind her.

"What?"

"You know Ruel will be there."

"Oops I forgot."

Adalyn glared at her as if she was lying.

"Adalyn, I seriously forgot. I swear to god I didn't do that on purpose. If you want, I can call my mum and tell her that we can't come."

Adalyn realised that she was a little rude towards her. "No it's alright. Let's go. And I'm sorry for being rude." She said softly.

"Oh no no no. Don't apologize. Let's put this little thing in the past yeah?" Coco said as she walked up to hug Adalyn. She hugged her back. Both of them quickly freshened up and went to Kate's room. Adalyn knocked. A very sleepy Ruel opened the door.

"Hey sleepy head." Coco said with a giggle.

"Yeah hi." He said, rubbing his eyes.

"Wow no comebacks. You are extremely sleepy." Coco said as Ruel got aside to let her and Adalyn enter.

"Yeah sure." He said in the same tone as before. He closed the door and dropped back on the bed.

"So Adalyn, Michelle told me your mum has a café?" Kate asked. She, Adalyn and Coco were sitting on the couch.

"Yes, it's called Mocha Aroma. She's had it for a quite a few years now. Michelle actually had lunch there the day she came to Adelaide to meet me for the first time." Adalyn replied.

"Oh that's nice. I would love to eat her handmade food anytime soon." Kate said.

"Of course! You're always welcome to our café." She said.

"Do you cook too?" Coco asked.

"A bit, but not like mum. She's the best chef I've ever seen. I love her food and I miss it now, especially her pancakes."

"It's alright, you'll be pretty soon eating your mum's handmade pancakes." Coco said.

"Yeah, but I also don't want this to end you know. I'm having so much fun here." Adalyn smiled.

"And I'm also stuck in a big problem." She said to herself.

"And I'm having so much fun with you." Coco said as she gave Adalyn a side hug.

"Me too Co." Adalyn said. She had begun calling Coco Co. I mean, the name Coco isn't exactly nickname-able.

"You both are so cute together. You know Adalyn, you should visit us in Sydney. Maybe after this internship is over." Kate said.

"Oh I've always wanted to visit Sydney. We never visited that place before. We don't have any relatives there." Adalyn explained.

"Well, now you have us." Kate said as Adalyn let out a laugh at her comment.

"Yes, me and my mum would love to visit you all in Sydney." Adalyn smiled.

"Yay! There's so much I have to show you there." Coco said.

"Oh yes we'll have fun."

"A lot of fun."

"And how are your studies going on dear?" Kate asked.

"Oh I have online classes. I actually have one class at night. It's Maths." She said.

"That's nice."

"I wanted to do online schooling because if I didn't do it then a lot of work will be accumulated once I go back and it would be difficult to do so much together." She explained further.

"Yeah that's a good decision in fact. Coco, don't you have assignments from uni?" Kate asked her.

"Yeah I have one. I'll do it at the same time she'll be having her class. When is it?" Coco asked Adalyn.

"10.00 pm."

"That's a little late."

"Yeah but the time is set according to the time in Adelaide."

"Oh makes sense."

Adalyn, Coco and Kate were indulged in there own conversation that they didn't know what was going on in the other corner of the room. Ruel had his back towards them, so it looked like as if he was sleeping. But that's wrong. He was crying. Crying because he didn't like the decision he and Adalyn ended up making. And listening her voice didn't help his situation.

"I liked Adalyn."

"No, I don't want to forget what all happened last night."

"It was utterly blissful."

"It was like when I used to be with Olivia. Heck, it's even better than those times."

"It feels as if Adalyn can understand me unlike anyone else."

"She has been through so much and I want to be there for her."

"I connected with her when we had only met."

"How can I ever forget that. Adalyn walked up to us and shook everyone's hand. Then she came to me. We shook hands and looked deep into each other's eyes. Her eyes, they're beautiful."

"I like her, and I'll make her mine. I promise myself."

After indulging in his thoughts for long, he got up from the bed and made way to the washroom, his back still towards the trio. He washed his face and came out and sat down on the chair opposite to the couch. The three of them stopped talking and looked up at him.

"Good morning sleepy head." Coco teased.

"Shut up Coco." Ruel sassed.

"Ruel, you slept in late this morning and now you were sleeping again. Are you alright?" Kate asked worriedly.

"Yes mum I'm fine. Just tired. I'm storing energy for my future concerts." He said, laughing at his own last remark.

"Very intelligent." Kate said sarcastically.

"I know mum." Ruel sais as he flipped his hair.

"Ruel stop, you aren't as cool as you think." Coco said.

"Shut up Coco no one is talking to you." Ruel said in the same tone.

"Okay both of you stop it. I mean, if Sylvie was here, it would have been more chaotic." Kate said. "Adalyn, do you have any siblings?" She asked.

Adalyn shook her head. "No. When I was little, I always wanted one, but seeing these two fighting here, I'm actually relieved." She laughed.

"You should be. You are so lucky Sylvie isn't here. I can't even imagine what all would be happening if she was here too." Kate said, completely stressed out.

"Mum, we are adults now, we don't cause any problems. Well, Ruel isn't an adult, and I don't think he'll ever be one." Coco began to laugh, making Adalyn giggle at her last remark.

"I'll let you know that I'm a growing boy." He sassed, emphasizing on 'boy'.

"Of course you are." Coco said sarcastically, still laughing her head off.

"Mum," Ruel cried, "tell Coco to stop." He said while pointing his index finger towards her.

"Okay, both of you, enough." Kate said.

Ruel looked towards Coco. "Ha!" He mouthed making Coco glare at him.

Adalyn, was looking at Ruel the whole time. She was able to make out that he had cried after he came out of the washroom, but she didn't say anything. The thought of not being able to be with someone like him hurt her a lot.

"Oh can I use the washroom?" Adalyn asked, snapping out of her thoughts.

"Of course dear." Kate said as Adalyn went inside and locked the door. She looked up her reflection in the mirror. Tears began to well up.

"Was the decision we took right?"

"This is so weird, this feeling I have for him."

"What is it called?"

"Now I wish that we didn't make this decision and dated secretly."

"We could have succeeded in that, right?"

"He's so nice. He listened to me that day. He was there for me and I want to be there for him too."

"No, I don't want to forget last night's events. Why would I even suggest to do anything like that?"

"It was utterly blissful."

"I connected with him when we had only met."

"Oh how can I forget that. I walked up to the group and shook everyone's hand. Then I walked up to him. We shook hands and looked deep into each other's eyes. His eyes, they're beautiful."

"I like him, and I'll make him mine. I promise myself."

Adalyn quickly washed her face and tear stained cheeks. She dried up her face with a towel and went out, sitting back in her position. She saw Ruel, who was fighting with Coco.

"I like you Ruel, and I'll make you mine."
The last thing she said to herself, before indulging into conversations with Kate.
