FIGURING OUT THAT A KILLER WAS A PLAYER ON THE LACROSSE TEAM AT BEACON HILLS HIGH, SCOTT, KIRA AND STILES WERE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO IT COULD BE. In the coaches room, they were going through all the lacrosse sticks seeing who's hiding a dagger at the bottom of theirs.

Starting to give up hope, Scott put down a lacrosse stick that failed to show him what he was searching for. "This...this is pointless. Most of the team plays with their own gear."

"Maybe instead of trying to find a lacrosse stick with a hidden dagger in it, we should be trying to get the game canceled?" Kira suggested, seeing as they were going nowhere.

"The game is the best way to catch him red–handed." Scott said "But what if he's red–handed cause his hands are covered in the blood of the person that he just stabbed to death? Which, by the way, could be either of you guys." Stiles said, pointing at the two.

"Or Liam, we don't have the whole list and he could be on it." Scott added. "We don't know anything about that list. How it was made, how it's updated. I mean, who's been out taking a supernatural census anyway?" Stiles spazzed.

"How do they even know about me?" Kira questioned, seeing as she just moved to Beacon Hills and hadn't even been there a full year.

"They know about everyone, even Zella and she was only here for 2 months." Scott added, as he thought about everything.

"I think Kira's right, I think we should stop the game." Stiles concluded.

"I'm not afraid," Scott stated. "Neither am I," Kira added, facing Scott.

"Well, I'm terrified and I'm not even on the list. Hell, I'm even scared for Zella, even though she's dead." Stiles said, flailing his hands in the air.

"Guys, these are professional killers. It's their profession." Stiles said, emphasizing on the word 'profession'. "One of them's got a thermo–cut wire that cuts heads off. Who knows what else they have." Stiles said, bring the different kinds of weapons to their attention.

While the game was about to start, Chris Argent and Derek Hale were at the open of the underground Hale family vault. Grabbing the triskelion Derek turned to Chris, "She was here for this." he said, handing it over.

Chris took a good look at the object while Derek explained what it was and what it did. "We use it to teach young beta's how to control the shifts on full moon."

"Control was never one of Kate's strengths." Chris admitted, then passed the totem back to Derek.

"You knew she was alive didn't you?" Derek questioned.

"Not for certain, but Zella had her concerns. She questioned me about it before arriving at Oak Creek. So I'd been searching ever since you handed me the shotgun shell." Chris stated, thinking back to that night.

"How did Zella know?" Derek asked, seeing as she never brought it up to him.

"Remember when she asked why Kate was on the board of Stiles chess pieces." Derek nodded his head, and waited for Chris to continue.

"That was her first clue. She didn't bring up anymore of her suspicions, because obviously we were dealing with the nogitsune at the time. Then in the woods where Aiden and Ethan were being shot at, she picked up a shell casing and looked at the engraving on the cap and saw the Argent logo. She knew it wasn't me so her suspicions just led more towards Kate, and when she figured that out she came to warn me, to be on the lookout." Chris explained.

"What are you going to do when you find her?" Derek asked, as he just took in some very important information.

"There's a place I can take her." Chris stated. "You're saying you have some kind of werewolf jail?" Derek asked, not really believing what Chris had existed.

"Something like that." Chris muttered. "She won't go quietly." Derek stated.

"I don't expect her to. And I'll do what's necessary." Chris concluded.

"What if I asked you not to?" Chris looked at Derek wanting him to explain further.

"She took something from me." Derek said, and flashed his bright yellow eyes. "At first, I thought it was a part of my past, maybe even something to do with Zella. But then I started to lose something else, my sense of smell. I'm losing my power." Derek stated.

"Right now, I really wish Zella were here, but she's not so I'm taking all I can get." Derek said, truthfully.

Chris also nodded his head at the statement because he too did miss the woman that saved his daughter.

At the Sheriff's Station Meredith had made her way there to talk to Lydia. Arriving at the scene Malia and Lydia walked into the sheriff's office to ask Meredith if she knew the number that they could use to crack the code of the cipher key.

Meredith however, only came up with 4 numbers, 2693. Thinking there was more to the number Lydia begged Meredith to give her more, but she couldn't because that was all there was of the number.

Seeing as they weren't going to get any further with Meredith, Noah took her out of the room and left Malia and Lydia in there to figure out what would happen next.

As Malia was standing up, she looked at the desk in front of her, specifically the phone which had letters on top of the numbers. Getting Lydia's attention she asked what if the number was like Algebra.

Not understanding what she meant, Lydia looked at her basically saying to 'elaborate more'. Which she did saying what if the numbers are actually letters.

Seeing her idea, Lydia took a piece of paper and started writing down the full 26 letters of the alphabet and saw the hidden name through the letter.

She started circling what looked like random letters till it spelt out a name 'Boyd'.

Now grabbing her computer, she entered the name into the keyword slot and hitting enter she watched the code unravel into a new part of the supernatural hit list.

At the game, Brett had been hurt and was taken out. Then Liam told Scott and Kira that he was taken out for the rest of the game. Scott thought they were still missing something because as far as he knew he thought Garrett was targeting Liam.

Soon Stiles came up to the group with some very important information. "Guys, Lydia just broke another third of the list."

"Am I on it?" Liam questioned.

"No, but someone else is." Stiles informed them and they all learned that the other person was Brett Talbot. A player on the Devenford Preps lacrosse team, who just so happened to be hit by Garrett in the game earlier.

In the locker room, Violet (Garrett's girlfriend) tried killing Brett with a thermo–cut wire, but soon heard someone coming so she hid, to her luck it was Scott McCall running in seeing an EMT down and went into the locker room to see if Brett was okay.

Seeing lying on the floor unresponsive he thought Brett was dead, when all of a sudden Brett opened his eyes and was about to warn Scott that someone was behind him.

Being too slow Violet had her wire around Scott's neck and tried killing him but Scott pulled through and grabbed Violet and bashed her head against the wall behind her.

Stiles then came running in late to the action, looking up to see him Scott said "I think you should call your dad."

Bringing Brett to Deaton's clinic, he started foaming yellow stuff at the mouth and started shaking rapidly.

Trying to hold him down, Stiles asked "What the hell is happening to this kid?"

"He's been poisoned by a rare wolfsbane, I need to make an incision and you need to hold him as still as possible." Deaton informed.

"Hey Derek, how about a little werewolf strength?" Stiles suggested, rhetorically.

"Yeah, I'm not the only one here with werewolf strength." Derek shot back.

"If you can't hold him still, the incision might kill him." Deaton told them.

"Derek, he's slipping. I don't think I can hold him." Stiles said, and Brett then thrashed and pushed them all away.

Trying to run out of the clinic Brett was then met with a fist to the face, from the one and only Peter Hale.

Derek looked at his uncle oddly, seeing as last he wasn't up to fighting speed and the actual last time he saw Peter was when he killed The Mute in the school.

"I guess I still have a little werewolf strength myself." Peter stated, with a slight smirk.

"Yeah, maybe more than a little." Derek said, making Peter smirk even more. Then looked down at his forearm seeing his wounds hadn't healed yet from when Brett scratched him.

Looking at the unconscious wolf on the floor Stiles said "Hey Doc, I don't think he's breathing." Deaton got a closer look at Brett on the floor then made an incision on his chest and yellow dust came out.

Derek finally healed as he looked down at his arm again, but he did take notice in the time it took for it to heal. Peter saw the whole thing.

As they were now focusing on the unconscious teen they heard him muttering something under his breath.

"Three things cannot long be hidden. The sun, the moon, and the truth. It's Buddhist." Deaton informed, then turned to look at Derek.

Derek had a flashback to the day in the loft when Zella informed him that there was a werewolf that helped Noshiko trap the nogitsune, and was the same werewolf he knew that used the Buddhist ritual – Satomi.

In Algebra class, Malia was sitting when she heard a voice call her name. Looking around she didn't see anyone who could have said it so she turned around and tried to focus on her work.

But then she heard the same voice, and looked around the classroom seeing as the voice wasn't coming from inside the room Malia grabbed her things and left the class.

Looking around the school hallways Malia tried to find out where the voice was coming from. She then felt a presence behind her and turned around to find Derek standing on top of the stairs.

"What are you doing here?" she questioned.

"Brett's still out of it. I need to find his pack and warn them about the Deadpool." Derek informed the girl.

"So what do you need me for?"

"I know a little something about this pack. They have a kind of secret meeting place in the woods. No one's spent more time in the woods of Beacon Hills than you. This is Brett's." Derek said, throwing the boy's jersey at the girl.

"Breathe it in."

"I'm not good at that yet." Malia stated, blatantly.

"Try it, I'll teach you." Malia then held the jersey up to her nose. "Focus on the different scents. Some are tied to identity. Others give off an emotion."

Doing as he said Malia sniffed the jersey then caught a scent trail and followed it with Derek right behind her.

Malia didn't mention it but she also smelt a part of the jersey that was a wooded area where she had been before in coyote form, it was one other favorite places because a woman with brunette hair and green eyes used to give her blankets and food during the winter time.

Parking on the side of the road near the woods, Malia and Derek got out of his truck to find where Malia's scent led them.

"Their alpha is a woman named Satomi. She's one of the oldest werewolves alive. And she's learned a lot." Derek told Malia. "What does that mean?" she asked.

"She's a bitten werewolf," Derek elaborated. "Learning control wasn't easy for her. She did something a long time ago that changed her." Derek said, referring to when Satomi set Rhys on fire before the Massacre started in 1943. "The quote is a mantra, it helps them with control."

Malia then picked up a scent, her sudden stillness alerted Derek to ask "What is it?"

"Gunpowder," Malia answered, Then they both looked at the ground and saw a shell casing of a bullet. "If Brett's pack is out here, I don't think they're meeting. They're hiding."

As it neared night time, Isabella got a phone call on her cell, so she picked it up to see who could be calling her this late.

To her surprise it was Braeden, answering the phone Isabella was met with a shaky breath on the other line, on alert she asked "Braeden, what's wrong? What's going on?"

Braeden responded "I was in the woods following a lead there by your house and someone shot me, I can't move, I'm bleeding out. Please come and find me." she pleaded.

In a hurry getting up, "I'm on my way, stay there and try to hold on."

"I don't think I'll be going anywhere anytime soon, Isa." Braeden said back, with sarcasm evident in her voice.

"You know what I mean Braeden, but seriously I'm on my way."

"I'll be waiting," Braeden said and then the call dropped.

Putting on her combat boots and black zip–up jacket, Isabella headed out towards the woods surrounding her house to look for her wounded friend.

☁︎︎

Seeing as they didn't find anything, Malia and Derek were back in his truck.

"I'm sorry," Malia uttered, seeing as she couldn't help Derek locate Satomi's pack.

"There's nothing to be sorry about. If they don't want to be found, then we're not going to find them. Some werewolves have an ability. A kind of master over their bodies where they can actually inhabit their scent." Derek explained to the young werecoyote.

"They can hide from other werewolves?" Malia questioned "From anyone who's trying to find them." Derek answered, nonchalantly.

"So that's why nobody knew about Brett." Malia figured out.

"Same with Demarco." Derek added.

"Maybe we need to try something different. Maybe we need to think like Stiles."

"Like a...hyperactive spaz?" Derek stated, not liking where this was headed.

"Like a detective. If their really Buddhist then maybe instead of asking where werewolves hide, we should be asking–"

"Where would Buddhist hide." Derek said, following along with what Malia was saying.

Looking at his dashboard, Derek noticed his compass was pointing East. "When Buddha sat under the Bodhi tree, he looked to the east for enlightenment."

"Is there some kind of eastern point in Beacon Hills?"

"Yeah, the lookout point." Derek said, realizing.

"Oh, I know where that is I have a... what you would call a friend out there. She lives in a white house."

With that Derek and Malia were off to the lookout point to find Satomi's pack.

☁︎︎

Traipsing through the lookout point, Malia stopped all of a sudden.

"Malia?" Derek questioned the girl.

"You don't smell that?" she said, the smell of blood filling her nose also mixing with the scent of death.

"Wait for me right here." he told her and went to go check it out. He stumbled upon a bunch of bodies with black blood coming from every part of their faces.

During this time, Isabella was running through the woods trying to find Braeden.

Malia finally walked towards where Derek was. "What happened?"

Devastated by the sight in front of him Derek said "I think they might have been poisoned."

"That's great, if assassins with guns don't get you, then the ones with wolfsbane poisoning will or maybe one with no mouth. Maybe we should all be running from Beacon Hills, running our lives as fast as we can." Malia stated, mouthing off.

Running through the woods, Isabella saw a person laying on the ground breathing slowly. Running closer she saw it was Braeden.

At the same time, Derek heard a noise from where he was standing, so he went to go check it out. Running towards it he saw a woman kneeling over another woman.

Hearing someone coming, Isabella looked up to see a man with a green lightweight jacket running towards them.

As Derek was running, he slowed down and started hearing white noise all around him.

She saw the man slow down and called out to him, "Hey can you help us!" she shouted. She saw him standing still, not moving a single muscle. Looking at his face she would've thought he'd seen a ghost.

Everything hit him with full force, he couldn't move, he was just staring at her. He couldn't believe it, he didn't believe she was right in front of him. Not when he saw her die in his arms, there was no way.

"Are you gonna just stand there!" Isabella yelled out, not seeing why the man wasn't moving to help.

Derek started walking slowly, he didn't even know who was wounded on the ground he was just focused on her, the girl with green eyes and brunette hair.

As he was now standing above her, he looked shocked and he also looked like he was about to cry.

He knelt down to the ground looking her in the eyes. She heard him just utter a name.

"Zella?"
