Chapter 47

"(Y/n).. I like you!"

These words kept on ringing in your mind with endless repetition. Its like your whole world collasped into the ground, not knowing what to say or to do in the situation you're in right now.

You clenched your jaw as your mood darkens. And with all your might, you pushed him causing him to lean backwards. He almost fell on the ground flat on his back but he eventually caught his balance in time.

His expression was obviously not satisfied. He looked like he already knew this was going to happen but with his face filled with hope earlier, he took the risk and you knew he regretted it.

Half of your hair was covered with your teary expression because of her head tilted downwards on the ground.

You bowed down infront of him while tightly closing your eyes, trying to sound stable while forcing the right words out.

"I'm sorry, Rin-kun but--!"

Your train of words trailed off as you felt someone firmly grabbed your wrist out of the blue. A nervous feeling crept up your spine but as you saw who the person was, you only sighed in relief.

"Use your brain." Haruka muttered to shark-boy, sounding like he was about murder someone. His deep voice sending your more amount of shivers down your spine and veins.

It wasn't even winter but the atmosphere in the situation just felt so stiff and cold that you almost forgot that you're already in a sunny weather.

Haruka didn't yet let go of your wrist but instead, held it firmly even more as he spoke like your bones was going to break making your rather flinch.

"Use your goddamn brain! She already has a boyfriend here and you are out here, just now confessing your stupid feelings?!" Haruka yelled, his voice loud and clear with the tranquil and empty street. A loud echo waving back at the thin air with Haruka's words.

You've never saw Haruka like this and its seriously bugging you out. He looks so deadly angry with his teeth gritting and his fists tightened so firmly.

"Haruk--" you we're about to stop the accidental fight but you heard a familiar voice near with rapid footsteps.

You turned your head at your back and you saw Makoto and Gou running towards you. They suddenly shifted their calm expressions into a concerned one as they saw your eyes tearing up, looking rather swollen.

Gou takes her bag out to get some tissues while she was still heading towards you. Makoto saw Haruka and Rin, obviously not looking good so he pushed himself between them.

"What the hell is going on here?" Makoto grumpily questioned as he looked to Haruka, then to Rin, then to Haruka again and to Rin again repeatedly. Making sure they're not going to kill each other any moment now.

Haruka clenched his jaw more as his eyebrows angrily arched down. "That idiot is trying to take (Y/n) from me! He even got his arms around her body! This is not appropriate nor right!!" his words bursted out.

He had his fist high now ti'll Makoto grabbed it and pulled it down. "Stop it, Haruka. Even if you do this, do you think squid will be happy?"

After hearing Makdonalds' words, Haruka groaned in pain with a mix of a dramatic sigh while tilting his head.

Looking once more to Rin, he created a 'tsk' sound. You know, the average-annoyed noise someone makes when they are irritated. (a/n: just like levi from aOT and i oop-)

Haruka turned his back around and walked away with his hands relaxed in his pockets in silence. He looked so disappointed with himself, guilty about what he was about to do.

Back to the present, Gou patted your head like some puppy while wiping your tears. "This is kind of clichéy to say but, don't hurt yourself and decide with your heart out. Okay? Promise me that, squiddie."

You slowly nodded as you heard Makoto and Rin talking privately at your back.

"What are you planning to do now?" Makoto sounded annoyed yet still calm.

"What do you think?"

"Nothing stupid, so please don't do anything dumb from now on."

"Mhm, I'll take my leave. Sorry for the disturbance I've caused, I really didn't have the intention to." And just like that, Rin left without any words to say left. Just like Haruka who was walking away at the other side of the road.

Your heart sanked, the thought of Haruka and Rin who we're friends back then are now in a much more stiff and complex friendship because of you, only you.
It came to the point that, you're already thinking that Haruka deserves a better girl. Someone who won't hurt him and treat him better. You exasperated a despressing sigh at the thought.

"(Y/n)." Gou quickly held your shoulders, snapping you out from your messy thoughts.

Your eyebrows lifts up with a belwildered expression. Mentally saying, "What?.."

Gou formed a bright smile and said, "Whatever you're thinking, don't blame yourself to this cause' none of this is your fault, you should know that."

Then she took out a paper bag from her small purse and gave it to you with her same adorable smile. "And give this to your boyfriend with a smile, don't tell him its from me."

You accepted the offer and nodded with a grateful smile. Gou once more patted your head while saying, "Don't break up with him, alright?! I've since this kind of love stories everywhere and its so-not-okay if it'll turn out to your squid-love too!"

Chuckling at her words, you nodded and finally smiled.

Gou looked like she just accomplished a misson. She waved her eyes as if she was crying, she sniffed, "Give me a second, sorry, this is my first time doing this and actually and successfully doing it!"

"Thank yo-" she didn't heard your phrase as she looked at her watch and waved a quick farewell.

"I'll go now, squid! Call me if anything happens!" and she left, leaving you all alone now on the street with the paper bag you're holding. You looked at it and an idea ticked in your head.

"..now, where is water-addict?"

Haruka's POV**

I felt so dumbfounded with Makoto's words going in loop in my braincells for already an hour and its tearing me up.

"Even if you do this, do you think squid will be happy?"

I pulled my hair out while tilting my head. Have I even done anything to make her happy? This is going to be the end of me now-

Suddenly, one of the bushes behind me made a sound as if it moved. There wasn't even wind where I am right now which was a random corner, without any people walking by nor animals.

I didn't mind it and just stayed silent.

Ti'll the bushes made that sound again. I quickly stood up and sighed as I made my way to the bushes that has been making noises endlessly.

I shoved my hands on it to see if there's a cat or a bird in it, but I saw- "A.. paper bag?" I confusingly murmured what I saw to myself then I looked on my right side then to my left side. No one to be seen.

I took the paper bag and went back to the sit I was on earlier. I opened the bag and I found myself some.. "Gummy bears!!" a smile formed on my lips.

Grabbing one, I ripped it and happily tossed one gummy bear at a time in my mouth. Now that's what you call a happy-pill.

I finished one bag after a couple of minutes already and I dragged my arm inside the bag again to get another bag of gummy bears but instead I got out a piece of paper.

I was about to throw the folded paper away ti'll I realized that it had writings and scribbles on it.

I unfolded the paper and started reading what's on it: "Here's your gummy bears! Enjoy my treat and keep on loving water! -Squid." another smile formed on my lips, I'm that lucky to have someone like her.

Your POV**

Your eyes narrowed and your expression stiffens as you heard Haruka reading the paper. You were hiding behind a tree from a near distance to Haruka.

Your mouth wide open, your thoughts getting more messy. "H-How did Gou-chan know that Haruka wanted gummy bears in the first place?! The women is a psycho!" you facepalmed.

"She even placed a small letter inside the paper bag, how thoughtful with the words. 'Keep on loving water'! She could have just wrote, like 'ILY' or something!"

(a/n): long chapter or not? oof idk sansnjsjs finally an update! sowi about that,i just got my braces yesterday on both of my upper and lower teeth and im trying my best to deal with it (so much pain ughguhhyuh) this metal things inside my mouth is so uncoMforTaBLE-

this chapter was suppose to be out tomorrow but i didnt had the time to write it so its today! sorry again! ㅜㅜ
