Chapter 16

"Yeah, lets start."

Nagisa grabbed out a glass jar and slid it on the center of the table. "Palm-up or down and then pick a random paper inside the jar with closed eyes, no peaking!" he instructed.

"And one paper inside the jar is a lucky one, the paper consists of you just choosing who you are going to give your gift to." Gou added.

Everyone get their hands ready and streched them on the middle of everyone. "Okay... one.. two.. three!!-"

Nagisa: Palms up
Makoto: Palms up
Haruka: Palms up
Gou: Palms up
You: Palms up
Rei: Palms up
Rin: Palms down (winner)

"Oh wow." Rin was surprised, the last one who came but the first one to see who'll he pick for the exchange gift. He extended his hand in the jar and took out a paper without looking, of course.

After getting a picked paper, he looked at it then a smirk formed on his lips.

"Who did you get?!" Gou naughtily asks him while nudging his shoulders. Rin nudged back using his shoulder to her, "We'll tell it all after everyone already picks out a paper." then Gou pouted and just nodded.

After several rounds of palms-up and down, you were the last one who hasn't picked a paper. Are you really that bad in this kinds of simple games? Oh well, the best one is the last one.

Pairs of eyes was just glued on that one tiny paper in the jar, appearing there's no other paper to get except that last one for you.

After slowly taking it out, you gulped and sighed. You wonder, "Who did I get?"

Finally having the guts to see who you got, you read; "Rin Matsuoka."

Gou jumpscares you with her smile as she leans at you. "Is it me?! Is it me?!" she cheerfully acts like a seal, clapping her hands infront of her chest and waving her hands beside both sides.

You chuckled, "Maybe.." you teased making her more excited.

Makoto raises his arm and snaps his fingers. "Now, show your papers!" he says then everyone did what he instructed.

Nagisa - Gou
Gou - Rei
Rei - Makoto
Makoto - Choose whoever he likes to give
Haruka - (Y/n)
(Y/n) - Rin
Rin - (Y/n)

Your eyes widens. Two persons will give you a present?!

"W-Wait, then who would give a present to Haruka??" Makoto asks, quite not expecting the current situation.

Gou raises her index and she starts explaining to lessen the confusion, "We are all seven people here, seven isn't an even number, we can't possibly partner all of us into two. So I decided to purposely have two people to give for (Y/n) since she's a transfery this year. But for fairness, (Y/n) will also give a gift to those two people who got her name." (a/n: woaHH-)

"Okay, well damn. That's more confusing than Mathematics." said Rin with his shark teeth showing off his mouth.

Rei points at you, "Why does (Y/n)'s paper then only has his name on it." then he points to Rin with a really confuse look.

Gou raises a brow. "What do you mean? I'm sure I wrote there Haru-kun's name too!"

You saw a folded part of the paper you were holding, you then unfolded it and showed it to everyone. "Sorry, there was a folded part."

"I told you!!!" Gou gritts her teeth to Rei who was constantly arguing with her a mere second ago.

"So me and Haruka are the ones who are going to buy (Y/n) a gift??" Rin asks, pointing his thumb to Haruka then to his chest. "And she'll do the same to us?"

Gou nods at her brother with a wide smile. "Yup! Like a Love Triangl-- oof, I mean like showing our love for the person we picked!"

Nagisa fiddles with the paper he was holding that is written with Gou's name on it. "But what if I don't really love or even like the person I picked?"

"BAKA!!!!" Gou pulls his ear, like the usual with a hedgehog-like expression with both thin eyebrows arched down.

Your lips twitches into a smile, your eyes glances at everyone who has a joyful smile on their faces. Ti'll your eyes landed to Haruka, who has just his head tilted with a blank face, staring at the paper he trapped between his fingers.

"Does he not like the fact that he is going to buy me a gift?.." a thought raised upon your mind, making your smile slowly fade.

Then on the glimpse of your eyes, you caught Haruka.. starting to smile while still staring at the paper with your name.

At midnight around eleven to the same day when everyone picked names, your mother was helping you wrapping up the gifts you just bought at the mall by yourself hours ago.

"Hmm.. all of this looks rather expensive, (Y/n)-honey." your mother says while looking at the big, fluffy and soft stuff-toyed dolphin.

You smile at her, "I know, they are all just somewhat special to me." you say as you give your mother more christmas wrappers for her to work on.

A pause appeared first before your mom starts speaking again, "You know.." her eyes traces on the blue sweater beside your hips then she looked like she had an idea that popped on her head. "I really like this Haru-guy friend of yours, he has his good looks plus his really sweet."

"Well, mom. Same."

"Why don't you give him that sweater?" she points at the expensive thing beside you. Your eyes widens, "T-This?! But.. I'm suppose to wear this for the actual party!"

At this point, you had no other choice but to just follow what your mom tells you. You were suppose to give the dolphin stuff-toy to Haruka, not the sweater you are suppose to wear for a special day.

After finally wrapping up all the gifts and writing specific names on it, you yawn out loud with your palm covering your mouth, for manners.

"Good night mom, my ass is already asleep."

"Okay, dear. Have a good night rest! Tomorrow is a big day!!"
