The rest of the drive to camp redwood felt much longer than before. Olivia didn't take her eyes off the man lying in the back for the whole journey, and it was as if she was glued to him. She sat in the front again, but her back was twisted as she faced the man on the van floor. Brooke looked at her every now and then, wondering if she was ever going to look away but she never did. Xavier had been driving with more caution, he moved Chet to the back while he gripped the steering wheel tighter than before. He didn't want to get blamed for hitting the man, and he certainly didn't want to hit anyone else.
"Are you going to tell them what really happened?" Brooke questioned, looking at Xavier. The blonde looked at her through the mirror "You can't just make up some whack story. You shouldn't lie to them the second you meet them"
"And ruin my chance to become a superstar?" he replied as Montana rolled her eyes "One lie won't hurt, plus it's only us that know what actually happened so they'll believe us, it's not a problem baby" Xavier was worried that they'd see through their lie, but he didn't want to show it.
"Us and the half dead guy on our van floor" Montana snapped back.
They all stayed quiet after this and Olivia finally snapped out of her trance, looking away from the man and looking out the front window. Her hands were jumbling together nervously as she paid attention to the trees again, Xavier looking at her through the corner of his eyes. They hadn't even arrived at the camp, and they had already run into some trouble.
She knew that Ana would know exactly what to do, and she hated thinking about her sister again but being away from her made her realise how much she actually depended on her.
They hit a bump in the road and Olivia looked out the front again, to see a shiny lake covered by nature while they approached a wooden sign that said Camp Redwood. She was thankful that they had finally arrived, she wanted nothing more than to get out of a van that she had been stuck in for two hours and away from the man that she didn't even know was dead or alive.
The camp was empty, and she expected to see at least a few members of staff. Instead, she saw a woman chopping up wood as she raised her eyebrows, impressed. Xavier slowly came to a stop and didn't waste time jumping out of the vehicle before going towards the back and sliding open the door. Olivia stayed seated, glancing out the window to see her friends speaking with the woman.
It wasn't long until she began walking to the van, glancing at the body in the back. Olivia took a deep breath in, wishing that she could hear what they were saying. Her hands began jumbling together again but at a faster pace, her heart rate picking up. She wasn't sure why she was so nervous, but she didn't want to be involved in a police case for murder. She knew she was overthinking it, but couldn't help herself.
Her door was opened, which made her jump slightly before she saw Chet, smiling softly at her. She glanced back at the back as Brooke and Xavier spoke to the blonde women before she looked back over at the boy beside her.
"What did you tell her?" she questioned as Chet leant against the van door.
"The truth, obviously" he replied. Olivia made a face to him, and he rolled his eyes knowing that she wanted him to tell her exactly what was said "He ran into the road, and Xavier didn't have any time to stop"
"More like he wasn't paying attention" she told him, narrowing her eyes. She looked behind again to see the blonde woman walking away "Is she going to phone the cops?"
"No, Olivia. Look, stop worrying, okay?" Chet said firmly as he leant back against the seat "We'll be in this camp all summer, and if you're always worried then you're going to have a horrible time" she didn't say anything back to him, instead just stared at her thighs and nodded, making her feel like she was being told off by her father.
Chet leaned over and clicked her seatbelt off before she slid out of her seat reluctantly. She looked up at him again before walking over to Montana, her arms crossed. Chet and Ray helped the man stand up, his arms around their shoulders. They practically dragged him, and they could all see he wasn't in any state to walk. The group of friends followed behind, as the blonde lady from before lead them towards one of the lodges.
Olivia stuck close to Montana, rubbing her arms and looking around at the camp. It wasn't a bad looking camp, and she could get used to staying around her for a couple of months, but she had a feeling she wouldn't enjoy it as much when all the children were running around. It was definitely different from her apartment surroundings that had no nature at all, just filled with cars and rude people.
It would definitely be a long couple of months.

It had been a couple of hours since they arrived in Camp Redwood, and Olivia had already managed to escape away from them. They had been showed around the camp, but that wasn't before they left the man in the infirmary with a woman named Rita.
He had been checked up on, and Chet explained how Rita said the man would be okay if he stayed where he was told to recover. Olivia had learnt along the way that the blonde woman they first met was named Margaret, and she was the camp director. She had been the one to show them around the camp, Montana translated some of the things Margaret was saying for Olivia, but not all. She had told her how boys and girls were kept separate, and this did make Olivia feel a little bit uneasy.
But she realised she had the uneasy feeling ever since she arrived, and that was purely because she was so far away from Ana.
The group was gathered by the campfire, sharing cigarettes and most likely creepy stories, and that's when Olivia was thankful for her impairment. She didn't need to hear anything else that would set her on edge even more, especially on her first night at the camp.
Her feet were dipped in the water that she was aching to be next to ever since they arrived at the camp. Her socks and trainers sat by her side as she moved her feet forwards and backwards, ignoring the feeling of wanting to hear the water moving between her toes. She didn't want to be bothered, she didn't want to be with anyone in that moment – just her and the water was enough for her.
She wished more than anything that she could contact Ana. Phone her, see how she was doing and see how her mother was doing. It was hard not speaking to her, because she was always speaking to her. Sure, she could speak to any of her friends but, it wouldn't be the same. She wanted to forget about Ana, stop mentioning her, but being away from her was difficult, especially when she felt the most comfiest with her around.
Her whole life, it had been Ana that she depended on. No one else, just her. She admired Ana, growing up all them years. Her sister had to take care of her, but it was easy when she had their mother helping out too. When their mother became sick, it all fell on Ana, and the next few years would be very hectic for the older sibling.
In that moment, while Olivia thought of Ana when they were little, her older sister was stuck in their shared apartment, standing in front of her mother who was glaring at her daughter. Ana stood in front of their TV while her mother was trying to watch her show, but she couldn't get any peace because of the girl blocking her view.
"Mom, I'm asking you to tell me this one thing" Ana said, her hands on her waist.
"I've already told you girl! Now get out of my way" she replied, moving her body to the side to see the TV. Ana moved to the side, blocking her mother's view from the TV again. The elder woman huffed, leaning back against the sofa before looking back up at her daughter.
"No, you haven't" She told her sternly, as she began to get more agitated "Where are your meds? They were there when I left the kitchen, and now they're gone, so what did you do with them?" her mother shook her head, standing up from the sofa.
"What makes you think I had anything to do with their disappearance? Have you maybe wondered that you are going just as crazy as me?" her mother said, beginning to walk away. Ana rushes forwards, grabbing her mother's arm gently, stopping her from walking away.
"I'm not going to be mad with you Mom, I just need to make sure you take them that's all" Ana was now pleading to her mother, her fingers still wrapped around her slim arm "If you don't take them, things will be even more harder. Just please tell me what you did with them"
"I flushed them, are you happy now?" her mother told her, pulling her arm away from her daughter and turning away,
Ana looked at her mum, a crestfallen look on her face appeared as she began to walk away from her. This was the second time, the second time that her mother had flushed her meds. She simply didn't have enough money to buy her more each time she flushed them, and it was beginning to make her anxious. She had to make sure that their bills were paid, and that their fridge was always full of food, but her mother was making it difficult by making her buy more medication.
Ana placed her hand on her forehead, looking down at the floor and sighing. She was already finding it hard to manage without Olivia here, but now she had no one to keep her calm. She rubbed her face, leaning forwards and grabbing her coat from the hanger. She glanced down the corridor, pursing her lips and walking down it. Sitting in her bed was her mother, now watching her television show. Ana glanced at the TV before making her way to her mother, sitting on the side of the bed and smiling slightly.
"I'm going to the market, to get some more meds for you" Ana said, as her mother glanced down at her.
"Haven't I got enough in kitchen?" she replied. Ana smiled again, shaking her head before tears began to well up in her eyes.
"No.. no you're running a bit low. It's my fault, I forgot to get you another dose" she hesitated as her mother nodded at her response, looking back at the TV "Will you be alright? I won't be long though, I'll be back as soon as you know it" her mother looked at her again before placing her hand on her daughters cheek.
"Don't be silly, I'll have your sister to keep me company" just as she finished her sentence, her mother removed her hand from her cheek and turned back to the TV. Ana nodded her head, the smile on her face fading before she stood back up, pursing her lips again.
She began to walk out of her mothers room, glancing back at her smiling at the television. She took a deep breath in, walking out and closing the door behind her before placing her head on the cold wood. How could she cope for the next few months, when it had only been half a day since she saw sister, and she was already struggling?
She told herself to pull it together, wrapping her coat around herself before rushing out the front door, making sure it was locked before making her way quickly to the shop to pick up some more meds. It would be a challenge, but she was determined to do it. She knew that she was capable of looking after her mother, after all, she had looked after Olivia and her mother at the same time.
She just had to make sure that she herself didn't lose her mind.
