"I'm being serious, Iris. Please?" Haylee begged Iris, the barista turned to see Barry and Felicity walk into the building. Haylee followed her gaze and smiled at Felicity and Barry before walking up to them, Iris following behind her. "Hey, you two," Iris spoke as Haylee leaned on Iris' shoulder. "Hey," Felicity says with a wide smile. "We're not a two," Barry spoke up quickly as he looked at Haylee. "Oh, no. We are a one and one," Felicity says with pursed lips.
"Feli, you're acting strange again," Haylee teased making the blonde lightly shove her shoulder which made Haylee laugh. "Has Barry been showing you some of the sights in Central City?" Iris questioned as Haylee's phone buzzed in her hand. "Yes, I have seen some pretty amazing sights," Felicity answered as she looked at Haylee seeing her looking down at her phone with a wide smile on her face. "Who has you smiling like that?" Felicity asked.
Haylee looked up at her three friends, each of them waiting for her response. "Uh... I got an alert about the Red Streak. He stopped an armed robbery and saved a man's life," Haylee explained before looking back down at her phone. Felicity looked from Iris to Barry before focusing back on Haylee. "Lee, uh, what's your opinion on the fla-, uh, red streak?" Felicity smiled awkwardly but Haylee didn't take notice.
"I think he's a hero. He's brave, strong and most likely smart, obviously. And on top of that, he doesn't want anything in return for his heroic acts. It's honourable," Haylee proclaimed with a wide dazed smile. "Oh, my God. You sound in love," Iris teased causing Haylee's cheeks to flush red. "What... Huh? No!" Haylee shook her head looking between her three friends. "You don't even know who's under the mask..." Iris trailed off as Haylee ran her fingers through her hair.
Barry's heart was racing at that moment, he could feel Felicity's gaze on him, most likely questioning whether or not he'd reveal his identity to Haylee. The girl he's been in love with since childhood was falling for The Flash, who was him but with a mask, so she was basically falling in love with him - "I mean, I'm not falling in love with him. I strongly admire him and would love the opportunity to meet him," Haylee spoke up truthfully. - Or not.
"Anyway... Felicity, if you've got some time, maybe we can show you some of Central City's nightlife," Haylee spoke up with a smirk knowing full well that Felicity gets plenty of nightlife. "Oh, no. I get plenty of nightlife back in Starling City," Felicity replied with a slight look to Haylee who wriggled her brows. "Oh, this is something that I don't think you're gonna want to miss," Iris proclaimed with a mischievous smirk.
"Trivia night at Jitters," Haylee announced with a smile. "Eddie's not really excited about it, I admit but Haylee and her date are coming along as well. But it could be our night, guys," Iris emphasized. "Our night to win $75 worth of cappuccinos or lattes," Haylee encouraged with a wide grin that Barry found mesmerizing. "You know what, I'm gonna go call work, check-in, make sure everything's okay," Felicity announced before making her way outside.
Haylee's phone began to ring, looking down to see it was her boss she sighed in annoyance. "Excuse me," Haylee walked away from Barry and Iris, answering the phone to her boss. "Why are you doing this?" Barry questioned Iris. "Doing what?" Iris asked genuinely unsure of Barry's question. "The trivia night with you, Eddie and Haylee. This whole group date thing," Barry explained to her.
Iris thought deeply about her response knowing that Haylee seemed to like this guy and that Barry and Felicity seemed perfect for each other, but it wasn't up to her to decide for him so she wanted to give him options. "Because that girl is great, and she happens to come from your very rare species of adorable nerds. Or so you can scope out the competition for Haylee," Iris shrugged with a smile. Barry looked up at Haylee noticing the saddened expression on her face as Felicity walked back in.
"Is Lee okay?" Felicity pondered while Iris turned to look at her. "Oh, no..." Iris whispered as Haylee walked towards them. "I'll, uh, see you tonight. I've gotta go save my job," Haylee smiled as best as she could before leaving the building. She knew that writing about Star Labs and Dr Wells would be a risky thing, believed due to her readers loving her articles and the VIP interviews she scored but it turns out, after Simon Staggs disappearance, she was gonna lose her job.

Sebastian, Eddie, Iris, Felicity and Barry were sitting in Jitters awaiting for Haylee to arrive. "I just hope she'll make it," Iris said with a smile as she and Felicity silently judged and analyzed Sebastian as he and Eddie made small talk. "So sorry I'm late!" Haylee's voice caught the groups attention. Her hair was pinned half up with the other half down, she was wearing a black lace dress and had some makeup on.
Haylee panicked for a moment about dressing up until she noticed Felicity had done the same thing. "And I see no one else got the memo to dress up," Haylee teased as she sat down between Sebastian and Barry. "Oh, my God. E=mc hammer, that's amazing!" Haylee complimented making Iris, Eddie and Sebastian all furrow their brows. "Because- Nevermind, let's get this game night going," Haylee smiled widely.
"Three is Pasteur," Barry said as he held the tablet but Felicity and Haylee both shook their heads. "Three is Erdel," Felicity began before Haylee continued, "And Four is Pasteur." The two girls smiled at each other. "Right," Barry nodded to them before looking back at the tablet. "Five?" Barry questioned before the three of them looked at each other. "Descartes," They said in unison causing Eddie, Sebastian and Iris to look at them confused.
"Are they even speaking English?" Eddie asked making Sebastian shake his head as the host announced their point. "You three make a great team," Sebastian spoke up as he rested his arm around Haylee's waist, the sight made Barry slightly envious. "So, Felicity, what do you do?" Eddie questioned interest to learn more about her. "I work in computer sciences at Queen Consolidated," Felicity replied with a subtle glance at Haylee before looking at Barry.
"Really? Do you have a boyfriend in Starling City?" Sebastian asked curiously after he had noticed the subtle glances Barry keep sending them. "No, no, there is no one," Felicity responded ignoring the raised brow from Haylee. "Right, no one, huh?" Haylee smirked at Felicity who tinted a light shade of pink. "I'll get us some more drinks," Eddie offered with a smile. "And I had too many of those first ones, so I will be right back," Felicity got up and walked towards the bathroom.
Iris went with Eddie to help with drinks while Sebastian answered a phone call. "Oh, my God. Dude!" Haylee cheered before lightly slapping Barry's arm. "Dude? Wha..." Barry looked at her confused as she rolled her eyes. "Are you seriously gonna deny the chemistry between you and Felicity? I mean, look at her dress. Felicity is smart, nice and pretty," Haylee rambled as she remembered how much Oliver cared about Felicity but refused to be in a relationship.
"And most importantly, she is someone who really understands and appreciates you for the amazing person that Iris and I are always telling you that you are. She's perfect for you, so why not take a chance?" Haylee encouraged, hoping she wasn't being too pushy. Barry stayed quiet for a moment before looking towards Sebastian as he walked over with a frown. "I'm so sorry, Haylee. There's an emergency and I have to get back to Starling," Sebastian said.
"Oh, uh. It's fine, really. I hope it's resolved," Haylee smiled at him as he kissed her cheek, his lips lingering as he side-glanced at Barry who glared at the sight. "Nice meeting you, Barry. I'll call you tomorrow, Haylee," Sebastian rested his hand on her shoulder before saying a quick farewell to Eddie and Iris. Haylee sighed quietly as Eddie and Iris sat down, Felicity joining them. "Now, I'm fifth wheeling..." Haylee whined before dropping her head on Barry's shoulder.
The other four laughed before they focused back on the trivia game. After Eddie's quick tap, causing them to lose a point against "Pride and Padawans", Haylee became disinterested in the trivia and focused on her phone when she got an alert from the police radio about Snart knowing the blur would respond. She looked up to see Eddie had left along with Barry, she turned her head to Felicity with furrowed brows.
"Where's Bar?" Haylee questioned the blonde who widened her eyes for a moment. "He, uh, had a dizzy spell and decided to go see, uh, Dr Wells about it. Because of, uh, the, uh... Lightning strike... Yeah, that," Felicity attempted a smile but it was awkward and lopsided. Iris laughed for a moment before shrugging, "I'm sure he's just trying to help dad and Eddie with the case." Haylee nodded but she cautiously looked at Felicity.
The last time Felicity acted like that, she was covering for Oliver's disappearing acts which later lead to his reveal of being the Arrow and that didn't sit well with the brunette. The three girls spoke for a while before Haylee said her farewell to them, making her way home where Jesse was on the couch watching Full House while eating ice cream. "Bad night?" Haylee questioned her brother as she stepped up behind the couch.
"Bad week," Jesse answered before eating another scoop of ice cream. "Right, well, remember our rule. Pity party for one night then move on, otherwise, you get stuck," Haylee kissed the top of his head before making her way upstairs. As she went to turn on the light, it switched on making her furrow her brows as she looked up, tilting her head in confusion. As she focused on the light, it slowly brightened until the bulb shattered which startled the girl.
She looked down at her fingers before closing her door behind her, she walked over to her lamp and held out her hand with a shaky breath. Electrical currents zapped over her fingers, she lightly touch the lamp bulb and it absorbed the power before shattering. Her eyes widened as she smiled, realisation hitting her instantly as she stood up and looked into her mirror seeing bright blue eyes. She smiled, "I'm a meta..."
