34|Daughter

Shadow stares at Jungkook with a slight frown on her brows. He was wearing a white shirt over a black coat. His hair fell over his eyes, tickling his brows. He was wearing a suit but was looking so cute, like a child. He looks up and runs over to her while waving at her.

"You're looking..." she purse her lips trying to suppress the smile that was trying to take over her features.

Jungkook raises his brows, smirking at her. "Handsome right?" Shadow bursts out laughing clutching her stomach and tears appear at the corner of her eyes. "You look—funny!"  

Jungkook's smile immediately fell and he pouts in disappointment. "You're mean!" He complains but smiles seeing her laughing her heart out. "You're looking beautiful," Jungkook lets out, smiling at her. 

Shadow immediately stops laughing, her eyes enlarge slightly in shock. "And your laugh is contagious," Jungkook states smiling widely showing his dimples that she nevneverticed before. 

"Get in the car." She immediately turns around avoiding him at all costs. "Rude! You should say thanks. You don't have any manners." She huffs, flipping her hair back. "I'm mannerless and I'm proud of it."  

Jungkook clicks his tongue, hoping inside the car. "Soooooo, let's go!!" He slightly jumps on his seat raising his fist in the air. "Calm down, boy." pursing her lips

[after 30 mins]

Shadow takes a deep breath, closing her eyes, her grip tightening on the steering. "Why are we sitting here for a while?" She cusses in her breath, hitting the steering wheel out of frustration. Jungkook gets startled because of the sudden frustration. 

"Hey, what happened? Are you alright?" She nods making Jungkook disappointed. She was struggling. "I see.." Shadow takes a deep breath and looks outside of the window. A sour look etches on her face. All she could see was her past. 

The past she was trying to forget, the past she was running away from–the past which ruined her life.  The house contained a lot of memories, memories that made her heart cry and make her wanna burn alive. Memories that she wanted to forget.

Memories..she hated that word. She never liked memories. They were something she despised from the core of her heart. For her, all it gave her was pain, nightmares and fuel to the fire for revenge. It never helped her with anything. All she wanted was to forget everything.

She slightly looks over at Jungkook and nods towards the house. "Let's go." Jungkook's mouth hangs in the air and his eyes widen at the sight of the house. He didn't expect she would be this rich. 

They could hold a carnival in their garden and so many events at the same place at the same time and still so many places would be left that could be used. He was shocked at the amount of space they just have in their garden and the house was massive. 

"Uh...I think we need to use the car to reach your house." shadow giggles, shaking her head. Jungkook blinks thinking what's so funny about that? She steps outside, taking a deep breath.

"I can do it," she whispers to herself. "You can do it." shadow looks over to her side, to see a smiling jungkook. Her heart raced at the sentence. "you can do it." a sentence no one has ever said to her other than him.

She clears her throat and looks ahead. Jungkook taps her shoulder lightly as if his hand would get burned if he touches her. "Shall we?" he offers her his arm. She thinks for a moment before linking her arm with his.

They reach the giant black door with a hint of gold in it. "Who are you?" The guards ask, looking at both of them with a suspicious stare. Jungkook blinks his eyes at the number of guards surrounding them, getting nervous as if he did something wrong.

"It's me." and suddenly, everyone becomes quiet. They all look at each other, not believing their ears. She raises her brows. "Did something happen?" They quickly shake their head.

"No, this way ma'am."

"No need to call me ma'am. Don't be so formal."

"It's an order from your father–"

She clicks her tongue, raising her finger. "Do not call him my father." The guard apologizes and continues leading them.

"Sit on this and it will take you to your destination." Shadow rolls her eyes at the sight of the black Mercedes. "Woah!" Jungkook voice out at the sight of the car. "You use this just to reach your house?" He was beyond shocked.

"Yeah," she replies with one word, not happy with his amazement. "Sit inside." She says and hops inside the car. You're so rich shadow." she scoffs, correcting him. "Not me. That man."

"Yeah.."

[after 10 minutes]

Her heels click against the white marble floor as she walks gracefully inside the crowded room. Her black dress with a hint of gold, simple yet elegant making her stand out of the crowd, specifically her huge hat black with a small bow that sits on her head.

People's attention divert towards the mysterious woman who gives off cold and scary vibes. Then their attention diverts toward the clumsy young boy who hastily follows her around like a lost puppy.

The girls giggles at the cute young boy who was confused and lost. He didn't noticed the fangirls he got in an instant. Everyone was talking about the duo.

"Who is she? She looks so powerful!"

"did you see him?! he's so cute!!! I would do anything to get that man."

"Omg! Is he single? I wish he is."

"Woah! Look at the girl tho...I am speechless."

The room was filled with chatters about their appearance. "My daughter." A loud and deep voice says with a hint of annoyance shadow could hear. Her ears perks at the word 'daughter'. She rolls her eyes at the two faced man.

She looks up to witness an old man standing up on the stairs with a wide smile, welcoming her. She knew what was hidden behind that fake mask, disgust and hate for her.

Fisting her palm she sighs, and fakes a smile. "Father.." she forces out the words with immense hate and disgust. The room fills with chatters at the sight of the father and daughter they never witnessed together before.
