𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧.

Camilla Cooper was not the type of person who slept easily. She never could truly sleep especially after the shooting. She would wake up panting and breathless due to nightmares plaguing her mind.

But this morning she didn't.

This morning though she woke up more refreshed than she had been in a long time but also a little sore and a little confused.

Opening her eyes slowly Cami looks around noticing the familiar room she was in before memories began to come back into her head making her eyes widen.

She had sex with her best friend's Dad!

Feeling someone breathing behind her Cami looks to see FP who is now on his side as well with one hand around her waist right under her boobs as he holds her close and then another under her pillow.

Cami looked at herself seeing one of her hands intertwined with his that was under the pillow and her other one laying on his arm that was wrapped around her waist with their legs intertwined together.

Cami Cooper paused for one moment. Just a moment and realized she didn't want to move. She liked no more like loved the way FP was holding her. He was holding her as if to protect her from any and everything that could harm her.

But with one look at the nightstand, a picture of FP and Jughead broke that moment and Cami released her hold on FP's hand and lifted the other off of him.

Grabbing his arm around her Cami carefully picked it up and moved it up just enough for her to slide out of the bed and onto the floor with a thud making her freeze and look up at the bed only to see FP pulling the pillow closer to him.

With a breath of relief, Cami looks around for her dress on the floor and once she finds it along with FP's clothes Cami slides it on quickly before she begins looking around for her underwear.

"Come on. Where are you?" Cami whispers out looking everywhere for the tiny pair of black underwear but a groan from FP has her looking up quickly to see him moving around.

Grabbing her heels Cami heads around the bed and heads towards the bedroom door. Leaning her head against the door to see if she hears anything Cami unlocks and opens the door before she begins walking out of the room shutting it quietly behind her.

Tiptoeing towards the front door Cami sees her phone and keys on the table making her grab them and head out the door.

Walking down the steps towards her car Cami didn't realize the eyes watching her in disbelief but also proud.

It took Toni everything in her not to cheer and call Fangs to let him know he won the bet but by the sight of Cami leaving before the sun was even up meant that she didn't want anyone to know anything.

And Toni Topez was a lot of things but definitely not a snitch.

But that didn't mean she couldn't say a few things towards Cami hinting that she knew and was proud.

Veronica laid her bed staring at the ceiling. The entire night she spent it crying over everything with Archie.

She couldn't say it. She couldn't say those three little words to him and truthfully all she wanted right now was her best friend.

That's all she's wanted since she and Archie broke up. Everything in her wanted to turn around and walk straight into the Wyrm just to have Cami wrap her arms around her telling her everything would be okay.

But she couldn't.

It was Cami's day. Her birthday and for Cami's entire life everyone made her day about themselves Veronica wasn't going to add to that.

So instead she left and texted Cami saying her parents needed her to come home and not to worry. She'll tell Cami everything next time she sees her after catching up on everything that happened after Veronica left

Sighing at the ceiling Veronica just wanted her best friends when suddenly her phone vibrated.

Grabbing it off the bedside table Veronica opens her phone seeing a text message.

Come open your front door

Veronica read the text once and then twice before jumping up and heading towards her front door. Throwing the door open Veronica stares as Cami smiles at her softly.

"Hi," Cami tells her making Veronica sigh in relief as she goes to hug her but Cami stops her before she can.

"I really want to hug you but you don't want to hug me," Cami tells Veronica sheepishly as Veronica looks her over carefully.

The dress she wore last night but with messy hair and what was that on her neck?

"Is that a hickey?!" Veronica whispers shouts as Cami places her hand over her neck her cheeks turning bright red.

"...no?" Cami questions rather than states quietly as Veronica laughs at her.

"How about you come inside take a hot shower and then fill me up on all the details of your night?" Veronica questions as Cami sighs nodding.

"It was...something," Cami says nodding walking inside the penthouse as Veronica shuts the door and locks it following after Cami.

"Something good? Or something bad?" Veronica questions already feeling a bit lighter. She understood why so many people went to Cami whenever everything felt like it was following apart.

Camilla Cooper just had this way of calming you down and making you feel better without even trying. She was a light surrounded by darkness.

"Something...in the middle," Cami tells Veronica as she rubs the bridge of her nose.

"Go take a shower I'll get the ice cream," Veronica tells Cami who nods at her. 

"Deal...and you can also tell me what happened last night. Don't think I didn't notice your tear stains along with you leaving," Cami tells Veronica with a pointed look who sighs but nods.

"I will," Veronica tells Cami who smiles at her softly walking into the bathroom as Veronica heads towards the kitchen.

"No, he's the asshole! Guys are idiots! Especially Archie Andrews,"  Cami tells Veronica scoffing as she sits in Veronica's bed dressed in one of her satin pajama suits eating a tub of ice cream.

"But I broke up with him," Veronica tells Cami eating her own tub of ice cream as Cami looks at her.

"No no no! He was the one who instigated the break-up, not you. He made all those comments about you not saying it trying to force you to say those words. Those words are not little things if you actually feel them about someone," Cami tells Veronica with a pointed look before pointing her spoon at the brunette.

"It's not your fault Vee. You did what you thought was right and he pushed you. Tried to make you feel guilty about not saying them. So that little asshole who can't even give orgasms," Cami says with a grin making Veronica bust out laughing as Cami takes another bite of her ice cream.

"Speaking of orgasms...," Veronica says staring at Cami who just gulps slightly taking another bite of her double chocolate fudge ice cream.

"Vee I did something. Something really bad but it was really really good...," Cami says staring down at her ice cream and making Veronica grab her hand.

"Cami...you can tell me anything and I'll never judge you. Ever," Veronica tells Cami who nods taking a deep breath.

"I had sex with Jughead's dad," Cami blurts out as Veronica stares at her.

"Then I left before he woke up. But that's not the worst part," Cami says wincing slightly as Veronica nods.

"What is the worst part? Please don't tell me Jughead walked in!" Veronica questions wide-eyed as Cami stares at her equally as wide-eyed.

"No! He didn't! But what if he did?! Ugh! This just got so much worse!" Cami groans throwing herself back to lie down on the bed.

"Cami! It's not that bad! Jughead didn't see anything and doesn't even know," Veronica tells her trying to pull her up.

"...he might find out though," Cami mutters making Veronica look at her confused.

"I lost my panties," Cami tells Veronica with a pout who stares at her before she begins laughing loudly.

"Vee!" Cami exclaims slapping her arm as Veronica laughs even harder.

"I'm sorry...," Veronica says calming down slightly as she looks at Cami with a smile on her face.

"But you left your panties! How did you forget your panties?! Were you in that much of a daze? Was the sex that good?" Veronica questions her making Cami slap her arm again while Veronica laughs at her.

"From those pink cheeks and the marks on your neck I would say better than good," Veronica says smirking as Cami rolls her eyes.

"It was...pretty good," Cami mutters smiling slightly as Veronica nods.

"Well, I'm sure it was. Older guys know more," Veronica tells Cami winking as Cami laughs throwing a pillow at her.

"I hate you!" Cami tells Veronica who smiles at her.
"I love you too Cam," Veronica says making Cami smile at her as the two lay down beside each other.

"So...we're going to just avoid both of them correct?" Cami questions Veronica who nods.

"Oh definitely," Veronica tells Cami who sighs in relief.  

"So what happened with your family?" Veronica questions Cami who groans at that.

"Let me tell you what stupidest thing out of all the stupid things Betty did last night!" Cami exclaims to Veronica who looks towards her wide-eyed as Cami begins to explain to Veronica everything that happened after she left the Wyrm.

Standing in Veronica's bathroom Cami puts on some light nude lipstick already dressed for the day ahead.

The whole weekend she spent at the Lodge's with her phone off just sending a quick text to her parents saying she was safe and would come home later never wanting on a reply.

"Cam! You ready?" Veronica questions walking into the bathroom and seeing Cami dressed in a cream turtleneck along with a pair of maroon pants and a pair of black heels.

"You know you're still glowing," Veronica tells Cami who rolls her eyes at her playfully.

"Shut it," Cami tells her chuckling slightly as the two walk out of the bedroom heading towards the dining room.

"Morning girls. Make sure to eat something before heading to school," Hermione tells the two already sitting down beside Hiram at the table as Cami and Veronica nod sitting down across from Hermione. Veronica is beside her Dad.

"Coffee?" Veronica questions Cami who looks at her.
"Stupid question," Veronica says laughing as she begins to make their coffee Cami puts two waffles on each of their plates before putting some fruit as well.

"Thank you," Cami and Veronica tell each other laughing slightly as Hermione and Hiram watch the two.

"I did want to tell you two thank you for letting me stay here this weekend," Cami tells the two Lodges as she begins cutting up her waffles.

"No need to thank us Cami you are always welcome here," Hiram tells Cami who smiles nodding at him.

"That's what I told her," Veronica tells Cami who smiles at her.

"Oh Cami," Hermione says making the blonde look at her as Hermione gets up and grabs a wrapped box in lavender wrapping paper off the table behind her.

"I meant to already give this to you but I needed to get it wrapped first," Hermione tells her handing her the box.

"Happy belated birthday," Hermione tells her making Cami smile at her brightly.

"Thank you so much. You truly didn't have to get me anything," Cami tells her Hermione just smiles at her as Cami begins opening her present.

Opening it Cami gaps slightly seeing the single diamond necklace along with a pair of diamond earrings.

"Oh...I can't accept this," Cami says shaking her head as she stares at the diamonds.

"Told you," Veronica tells her Mom with a laugh as Hermione stares at Cami.

"It's a gift and a thank you," Hermione tells Cami who looks up at her at that.

"Thank you for what?" Cami questions confused.
"Being there for our daughter," Hiram tells Cami making her look at him.

"We've seen how you've been there for her since you two met. We couldn't imagine a better best friend for her," Hiram tells Cami who smiles at him nodding.

"I couldn't imagine my life without her anymore. She's...," Cami begins to say before looking at Veronica.

"You're my sister," Cami tells Veronica who smiles at her.

"Mine too," Veronica tells her as the two interlock their hand squeezing them.

"Well this breakfast turned emotional quickly," Cami tells Veronica laughing making Veronica laugh with her.

"Yes it did but we need to hurry up. We have to help Kevin with his Secret Santa exchange," Veronica tells her as Cami smiles at her brightly.

"It's Christmas time Vee! The best time of the year. Ooh, we need to get some hot chocolate with peppermint and go see some lights. Let's not forget gingerbread houses. I wished it snowed here so we could make snowmen. Or women!" Cami exclaims as Veronica laughs at her.

"You've never seen a Christmas like a New York Christmas Cam," Veronica says as Cami sighs in pure happiness.

"That sounds like a dream," Cami tells Veronica who nods at her before the two finish their coffee. Veronica goes and kisses her dad's cheek as Cami grabs their bags.

"Have a good day girls," Hiram says making Cami nod as Veronica smiles at him.

"Bye Mister and Misses H!" Cami says waving as she locks arms with Veronica who laughs at her as the two leave the penthouse.

In the student lounge, Cami stands in front of a leader a freshman is putting up garland as Kevin and Veronica were putting lights around the Christmas tree.

"Hey Josh can you lift it just a little bit on the left side? It looks like it is about to fall," Cami questions the boy who nods fixing it as Cami smiles at him.

"Thank you," Cami tells him as she goes through ornaments humming All I Want for Christmas Is You as Kevin looks towards her tilting his head.

"What is up with you?" Kevin questions Cami who looks towards him confused.

"What do you mean?" Cami asks him as she smiles.
"You're humming. Smiling. And being nice while decorating. Did I enter a parallel universe?" Kevin questions looking towards Veronica who laughs fluffing the tree.

"Haha," Cami says shaking her head as Kevin stares at her looking Cami over before snapping.

"You had sex!" Kevin exclaims wide-eyed and smiling brightly as Cami looks at him in disbelief.

"Kevin shut up!" Cami whispers shouts as she looks around to see if someone is looking at them as Veronica laughs.

"You did, didn't you? That's why you are so happy! You had your world rocked! I told you, you were too tight and needed to let loose," Kevin tells her smiling as Cami throws the mistletoe at him.

"You didn't deny it," Kevin says as Cami sighs groaning.

"I want to ask for detail but instead I'll just say whoever it was make sure you continue to it because I've never seen you so mellow and happy. It's sort of weird but I like it," Kevin tells her as he goes to hang the mistletoe as Cami sighs.

"He's right. You seem happier and lighter," Veronica tells Cami who glares at her.

"Just saying," Veronica tells her raising her hands in surrender while Cami shakes her head going back to the box of ornaments with a small smile on her face.
