"get me a flower for valentine's eh" he said.

she turned and walked away.

a day away from the 14th, an orange lily pressed into his hands, sirius chortling in the corner

"a flower eh" she said.

"so you gave me yourself" he asked.

"ask your friend"

she walked away.

"it symbolises hate, sorry james" remus muttered.

"a flower none the less" he declared

a chrysanthemum placed between her fingers. a genuine grin on his face.

"loyalty and love" he said.

"you did your research"

she left.

"progress"

a bouquet in his his hand, a smirk on her face, a frown on his. laughter echoing from the corner.

"that would be geraniums, meadowsweet, yellow carnations, orange Lillies and foxglove" she smiled.

"so basically stupidity, uselessness, disappointment, hatred and insincerity, in above order"

a tinkling laugh

"enjoy"

a flower on his table, along with a single strip of parchment.

'you did know i was joking earlier this evening?'

a smile on his face. and even bigger one on hers. a shared kiss in the middle of the night. a happy life.

so that was super short, barely a 100 words, i aplogise, but i did like it a whole lot. i know it was slightly difficult to read what with the way it was written (bloody difficult to write as well- reason why it was short) and im sorry you had to sit through that, but i do hope you liked it,

i just watched enola holmes and i was in the mood to write something of the sort (there are no enola holmes fanfics anywhere so thats great) so i ended up doing this jily short
