(Ch.2): Increased Bitterness!

~ From Last Time ~

F/n was seen standing in front of the headmasters of Union Academy, two of them that is.

- Ozpin, headmaster of the Huntsmen -

- Nezu, headmaster of the Heroes -

And *all* of them didn't even have a smile on their faces.

Ozpin: Young man, what was the reason you were sent up to this office this time?

F/n sighed heavily as he told them it was *another* fight that wasn't even initiated by him; however while he knew he was being honest, he unfortunately knew who's side they'll take.

Ozpin: Well, that isn't what Professor Goodwitch said.

F/n: None of the fights I get in is my fault!

Nezu: Young man, calm down.

F/n: No! I don't understand. Why can't you all stop sitting up here all day and actually monitor your students?

An act of silence was more than enough for an answer.

F/n: Hm, I thought so.

After another moment of silence, they finally spoke up.

Ozpin: Well, young man. Considering the reports from the teachers, you are doing poorly in their classes. And I'm certain you understand that you're failing your sparring classes?

F/n: *sighs heavily* Yes.

Nezu: Well, then that only means you're not suitable for the hero course. So, I'm afraid we have no choice but to kick you out and instead let you move to the General Studies or the Support department.

After what Nezu just told him, a mix of disbelief, anger, and shock struck F/n emotionally.

F/n: What!? But...

A piercing look in his eyes from both of them caused his words to get caught up, silencing him. Still, it was unbelieveable what F/n was told.

Ozpin: So, you can either attend one of the two courses or you can just leave the academy. What will it be?

In nothing but defeat, F/n let his face fall into his palm and a groan of disbelief to escape his mouth.

F/n: General Studies.

Ozpin: Alright then. We'll call you back up later. You may leave now.

With negative emotions overflowing his mind, F/n left on a path back to his dorm, leaving the two in pity.

Nezu: If only he understood why.

Ozpin: Now, listen. It's for his safety. I'm sure he'll do fine from this day forward.

~ Meanwhile ~

F/n was seen in his dorm room, both angrily and depressingly processing what happened today. Yes, he was bullied and physically harassed yet again only for the outcome to turn out as perhaps the worst to him.

He was officially out of the hero course of Union and is to be moved to the General Course instead. His dreams of being a hero were just thrown out the window and washed down the drain.

And it was all *their* fault.

Unfortunately, he knew trying to reason with them wasn't going to change their mind. So, he had to think about how he can make the best of the upcoming situation. Maybe graduate and find a different way of being a hero, perhaps through humanitarian means?

As he sat swimming deep in his thoughts, a small imp-like shadow suddenly hopped onto his desk and looked at him with a wide grin.

Imp: Soo, had another difficult day eh?

F/n: *sighs* Obviously, and guess what the "best part" of it is?

Imp: Oh, yeah. Being kicked out of the Hero Course is great alright. But, who says you need that anyway huh?

F/n: Alright, I would like to be alone now. Can you go away?

Imp: Alright, buddy. Handle your own problems, ya jerk.

With that, the imp then vanished in a puff of black smoke.

As for F/n, he spent the rest of the day doing almost until he was called up to the office again that same evening. It would turn out they had his schedule finished already and he will start attending the General Course starting next week.

F/n: *This is going to be a long weekend.*

~ Major Timeskip ~

So, today was the first day for F/n in the General course. And from what he can guess, he figured it'd be a lot more tolerable and less physically punishing than the Hero course.

He just gotten into his uniform and started as usual: breakfast in the cafeteria and then get to class.

When he gotten to his class, he was told to simply introduce himself to the class, kind of like this...

F/n: Hi, name's F/n L/n and I'll be joining you all from this point forward. Hope we can try and be pals.

After that awkward introduction, he sat down in the free seat near the back and his homeroom teacher went back to the lecture.

As the day went on, things were actually more peaceful than what F/n was used to. There were almost no verbal threats and no physical attacks on him even came to him yet.

When lunch came around, F/n sat alone again, only to hear trays clattering. Joining him today were Kiba, Gasper, and Asia.

F/n: Hey, guys.

Kiba: Hi, F/n. We were wondering. What are you doing in the General Studies department now?

F/n: *sighs* I was kicked out of the Hero Course.

That statement shocked his friends.

Asia: What, why!?

Gasper: Yeah, that doesn't seem fair.

F/n: I don't know. They just see me as unfit and incompatible. *Or is it really just them playing favorites?*

Kiba: Well, that's not right. Lord Sirzechs wouldn't just agree to something like that.

F/n: Try reasoning with all of them at the same time. That's just putting it lightly.

Asia: So, what will you do now?

F/n: I don't know. Just graduate, do humanitarian things after school? I really don't know.

As he continued on, he was then consoled by his friends, being told that he still has them and others to talk to. That did help him a little bit, but not fully.

After lunch, F/n was seen walking down the hallways on his way to his next class.

However...

???: Yo, loser.

His calm mood was killed off by the sound of an unfortunate nuisance to his mental health. Turning around, he saw Yang, Issei, and Bakugo approaching him, unfriendly smirks on their faces.

F/n: *Come on. Don't they have anything better to do?*

Bakugo: Where the hell have you been all day?

F/n tried to ignore them and continue on, only to the be roughly grabbed by his collar and forced to face the three.

Yang: Did you not hear us, dumbass?

F/n: Why does it matter to you three?

Yang: Come on. Goodwitch's class needs it punching bag.

F/n: Well, I'm not your punching bag anymore. And I never was.

The three then laughed at him.

Bakugo: Oh, what? You finally realized that this place is for real heroes?

Issei: Does that mean you're finally leaving?

F/n: That is none of your business!

That response seemed to make them mad, making them activate their powers in response.

Yang: Look here, asshole. You better watch how you talk to your superiors!

F/n: And if I don't?

B+Y: That's it!

Before they can do anything to him....

???: What are the four of you doing!?

The familiar voice made the trio stop, being met with the stern, angry face of Professor Goodwitch.

Issei: Uh, we were just heading to class.

Glynda: Then, don't hang out in the hallway! Get to class!

The trio then left F/n with the woman. The former only shared an unfriendly look with the woman before he left in the opposite direction.

~ Timeskip ~

Later on (in his new dorm room), he gotten a knock on the door. Opening the door, he saw Asia outside.

F/n: Oh, hey Asia.

Asia: H-Hi, F/n.

F/n: What's the problem? Why so red-faced and nervous?

???: Slick-talking huh, F/n?

F/n: *Shut up. Not now.*

Asia: I-I was wondering. Do you...want to go out together tomorrow?

F/n just looked at her with a curious look on his face, raised eyebrow and everything.

F/n: Wh-What? Like a date?

Asia: I-I guess.

F/n: Hmm, okay. Tomorrow after classes?

Asia: Yeah. Bye.

The girl quickly left after that and F/n shut the door.

F/n: *Hmm, maybe today wasn't too bad.*

Then out of the darkness in his closet...

???: F/n...~

The sudden raspy, deep voice made F/n jump. Turning to his closet, a humanoid shadow the size of a grown adult man walking out, facing him eye-to-eye.

???: Let's talk.

The screen faded to black.
