Y/N  finally gathered courage and tearing the envelope, took out the paper inside with trembling hands.

Taking a deep breath she tried to read. Her breath hitched and she stumbled when she came to the specific line.

It's positive.

Tears rolled down her eyes and she didn't try to supress the sob. This was so unexpected! As if in a spell, her hand went to her belly and she caressed it. There's a life inside her, a symbol of their love, the flesh of hers and her Dev.

She couldn't wait for her husband to get the news. Dev wished to be father since they've been to naming ceremony of a baby of his colleague, heck he has even bought books on parenting and all. She just wants to see his reaction, which she bets, will be priceless.

Trying to be as calm as possible and neutral, she called him, who recieved it at the third ring.

'Hello, Sweetheart.'

' Hey Dev. When will you be back?'

'We just wrapped up the practice. I'll be home in half an hr. Something happened?'

' Umm nothing. Was missing you.'

' Okay bye. I'll stop bye to get some cookies for us.'

'I love you. Bye! And drive safely.'

'Yes, love.'

She cut the call and started to think of a way to disclose the news to him.

'Am home!' Devdutt came in and yelled. She came as fast as she could, taking care not to trip over.

Dev! I want to say something. Ummm woh I we ...'

'Aaram se, hun.' He wrapped his arm around her.

She looked straight into his eyes and whispered, 'We are going to be parents, Dev. Junior Padikkal is on the way.'

'We.. you what?' Dev went numb for few secs before bursting into tears, happy, overwhelmed. He started peppering kisses on her before concluding. 'I love you both! And thank you so much for everything Y/N. I promise to try to be a good father.'
